  • Back from the dead, I guess.
Is it reccommended to use a controller instead of a keyboard when playing MUGEN? Because I find the keyboard rather awkward.
The sig is a lie. So is the cake.

Its an acquired taste.
You can use whichever feels better for you personally,me,I prefer keyboards over gamepads on mugen.

Hm.

In that case, is there any possible way to change the keys to fit button configuration? (Like a=punch, etc.) I'm using EVE Battle.

In Mugen options, go to "Input Config", there you can find the configuration settings for each player, just change them to your liking. Another way is to change the settings through mugen.cfg, you can find them at the very bottom.

I personally prefer a controller. Keyboards only allow three-buttons to be pushed at once, so a controller gives you a slight edge when using an MVC character (where you need three buttons pushed for a super) or a Guilty Gear instant kill (Impossible to do on a keyboard without editing the .cmd of the character)

Thanks guys. That helps. A lot. (Now I know how to do two-player on a keyboard now! =D)

Actually, MvC supers only require two buttons, unless some idiot didn't code it correctly.

okay fair enough, although I'm saying there's more of a chance for you to screw up by pushing more than two with an MvC2 command.
