What features do you want to see in Mugen 1.2 ?

If it happens of course.
Me personally would like to see filters of some kind, be it 2xsai or bilinear filtering.
Online play is a must, I think if Mugen not Ikemen or any engine like that but mugen has an online mode the community will grow much larger.
Being able to play multiple sounds in one stage. Like rain and then the level song.
These are on the top of my head, please feel free to add to them.

Very good suggestions.
Interactive stages like in guile's stage where you can break the boxes on the left and right would be cool.Or breakable floors or ceilings like in MK.

I said it once, and I'll say it again. The ability to choose multiple music tracks for a stage. I made an entire thread based off this idea.
If there are any problems, let me know. I will try to fix them as soon as possible.

1. Alt. sprite costume/stance/transformation handling so custom throws won't always revert a character to their static 5000-5300 sprites.
Either a standardized variable or sysvar that takes an Int value and always adds it to the characters anim, recoding sff handling so there can be more than one per character, an extra sff group for sprite costumes. Or anything else that works.
I don't want Buu Saga Krillin to suddenly be bald when thrown or Trunks' hair to go from Yellow to Purple when he gets a hug.
2. Namable variables. So I can have a "costume" variable to check for in my custom states.
3. Open Source. So I can build in some sort of functionality to handle transformations or costume changes.
4. Online play w/ chat. So instead of fighting whoever I play against, I can just whinge at them about Mugen not handling sprite-based costume changes well.
5. Elecbyte porn. So I can blackmail those guys until they add better support for alternative costumes in custom states.

better handling of screenpacks and lifebars; let's be honest, knuckle fighter alpha has gotten the whole 'being able to move the portraits around' schtick down since 1997 and in 2015 we still can't do a basic mortal kombat 3 vs screen with mugen

- The possibility of putting Videos as intros[for both games and characters] instead of using sprites, like the mp3/ogg for sounds
- Preconfig tag system
- Stage previews
- Ladder screen [Who will fight in the next stage]
- REMOVING THAT DAMNIT FADE OUT AFTER FIGHT ARE OVER
- Putting shutters on intros without using shared common1.cns
- 3v3 tag
- Additional button keys [alongside with taunt and the 6-buttons, special buttons for assist attacks, like the "macro" buttons on the Kawaks emulator]
- Unlockable characters via specific code
- Changeable way of filling a powerbar. For example, like on MvC games, if reaches the first complete bar level, another with other color appears until the level desired.
- Enable Music in Options
- And obviously, like their antecessors, the compatibility with win and 1.0/1.1 characters.

or even that striker mode thing from kof 2001
being able to see the opponent's victory screen when you lose in arcade mode (seriously how in the hell did they miss this)

There is a few repeats on this list but I guess it's to drive the point home.

  • Open source (Would solve all these problems)
  • Randomization checker option(making sure you don't get the same character 50 times in a row)
  • Online (Ikemen is cool and all but I don't really want to have the exact same roster as my friend)
  • Tag mode
  • Official support for 3v3 and 4v4 simul
  • Lifebars that aren't linear and overlapping lifebars (like RBFF2)
  • Have an option to make the palfx effect the 9000,1 portrait (like it does in mugen 1.0 and below) and custom portraits
  • A built in scoring system
  • Having characters show up on the select screen
  • Have a turns selection like KoF
  • Interactive stages
  • Individual Power bars in simul mode
  • Cut scenes
  • .SND for a stage
  • 3D stages using . Map files or similar
  • Unlockable characters
  • ... and other stuff holding back this engine which other... may I say less superior engines (E.G knuckle fighter) have achieved
