Without trying to be rude, if y'all are perfectly aware the whole thing is acted out, what exactly is the appeal of a planned out soap opera with half naked buff men? If it's the pseudo violence, aren't there other violent sports like Box or mixed martial arts?Can someone give me their POV on this form of entertainment's appeal?
its entertaining my nigga.yea its predetermined, yea the spots are planned in the match. but thats why its so good, you have gimmicks or personality's within certain wrestlers. also the athleticism certain wrestlers have and perform.dont know why that emo kid said its fake. as mentioned stuff is predetermined but i like to see this nigga go in a ring in japan and get stiffed to hell.
so what if parts are predetermined. movies and several tv shows are completely acted out but you still watch them. wrestling is entertaining because cool stuff happens sometimes like guys totally beating the shit out of eachother in a great match, someone doing a really insane stunt, or someone making a great entertaining promo like the rock used to years ago.
My view on it is this. Wrestling torylines and SOME rivalies are fake, but the action isn't. Those ring ropes and mat arn't as forgiveing as they seem. Ask Seanatly. He wrestles for fun. It's exciteing to watch what some of these guys will go threw just to entertain a crowd. Even seriouslyu injurying themselves during matchs yet finishing all the way threw. Thats what drives me. Nowadays the storylines arn't that top notch, but there are still soem good ones during midcards and even high card fights. UFC, Pro Boxing/kick boxing maybe without storylines and what not, but they still have hype like wrestling. Rivalies. They have all the samething incommon. Everything you see in that ring/cage is for real.
