Honestly, I felt like that worked in SBR's favor.  I loved Stone Ocean, but a lot of the stands in that one felt like they were just too abstract for their own good.  Like that one that only hurts enemies when the user tries to kill himself, or the one that made fictional characters come to life and attacked by acting out fairy tales on enemies.  SBR was vastly improved by keeping the stand powers relatively simple.

Except goddamn Tubular Bells.  >_<

Yeah, I'm not sure what was up with that other than Araki just changing his mind halfway through like with Annasui.  I kind of assumed it had something to do with the corpse parts, but like you said it was definitely a change for the better so whatever.

Fairly certain ROM patches aren't taboo. Sort of like emulators, it skirts that legal grey area.

The scanlation is already up. And you can post the link, after all it's an old game for a long defunct system, it wasn't released overseas and it's most likely never going to see a digital redition. That's barely warez :P

joushuu has pretty great dialogue all around



and his stand seems pretty cool. that and i don't know why but he reminds me of the jojo's equivalent of curly from hey arnold. so he gets a thumbs up from me

It would've been nice at any other point of the story, but...it honestly ruined the ending. Gyro's death and Valentine's patrotic speech were perfect, there was no need to do anything else.
