However, he joined the forum (as Number 2) in February 2003.
I wasn't there at the time, so I can only stipulate, but perhaps the website (which is now gone) opened in 2001, and the forum later appeared in 2003.

Actually, this current SMF version is like the 3rd one

The first was a public forum, then an altogether move to a different template, then that template's database was migrated to what we have now.

Wow, trippy old school feeling.

It would be awsome to have the database back. I'm in the database crew in MI, and it's one of the good points there.

Though I'm not very fond of the layout in the front page. $:-\$ Too many pics, just like a blog.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT! I used that link you gave me to go back to 2006 MI! Weird, LOL!

The old one reminds me a bit of the current Randomselect front page layout. Who are the sprites near the upper right corner btw?

Uhm...yah...

Actually, before it was called Mugen-Infantry, it was called 1Mugen. Before the site existed, me and some of the original folks of MI, still had our sites hosted by Gamecop at 1Emulation. I forgot if it was either Aztec Soldier or Syn but he gathered us all to talk about merging all our sites as one. I think Gamecop suggested it himself. We all agreed and 1Mugen was born.

I forgot everything that happened. I'm not even sure if it was already called Mugen Infantry after I left the staff.
