We should put ways of getting the thing to run on the first post.
It works on my old computer with the following resolutions 640x480 Standard definition 4:3 1280x720 High definition 16:9

This is a Release Candidate, it's not complete yet.

This is a Release Candidate, it's not complete yet. They are badly accostumed. Its a good release candidate, stable enough, some bugs, people working on them. But you know what they want?Online! or...or... Six vs SIX.. or..or... an automatic char creator!Or rainbows and buttercups. After eight years, they lost the ability to be properly critical of a wip of this size/importance. Its up to us as well to set an example I guess. The potential of the engine alone is huge. With proper time and careful api construction they could even lease it for xbox live releases and ps3 live. But people will only notice the "now".

i think this will end up just like Shugendo.First of all our newest Fighter Factory was released just not long ago.And like many pointed out THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY great characters too upgrade for new mugen.Yes new MUGEN might pull off some cool stuff...but are wea ble to rip stuff for it to make it any different? So far our skills are limited to Mugen HR
How come no one ever brings up porting it to the wii This thing is fine. 6 on 6 and all that is asking a lot for 3 or so pale geeks. I still with they would open the code. I have yet to figure out why you would have a free closed source engine.

They are fully compatible.

That's what everyone did when we all jumped in to Winmugen Hi-res. How will now be any different?shamrock said, September 23, 2009, 05:03:51 pmI have yet to figure out why you would have a free closed source engine.Since when did free automatically mean open source? Doesn't freeware exist anymore? ???
Iced said, September 23, 2009, 04:54:51 pmIts a good release candidate, stable enough, some bugs, people working on them. Which is waaaay more than what any MUGEN clone has ever had. 80% of the community is a bit too spoiled, I'ld say.M0GL13, you obviously haven't noticed how buggy ShugenDo has remained after all these years. Elecbyte, while having been gone all this time, is a team of professionals developing the engine.
M0GL13 said, September 23, 2009, 05:00:56 pmFirst of all our newest Fighter Factory was released just not long ago.No offense, but this has nothing to do with the MUGEN release. there is a new set of tools for the new formats, as there always was. if you can't wait for FF to be updated to the new formats, you can simply use them.M0GL13 said, September 23, 2009, 05:00:56 pmAnd like many pointed out THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY great characters too upgrade for new mugen.this is not like when Winmugen was released and people realized that 90% of their characters depended on engine bugs that had to be fixed. the upgrades here a minimum, and elecbyte is maintaining a really big level of retro-compatibility.if people changed to Winmugen, you can bet they will change to 1.0 M0GL13 said, September 23, 2009, 05:00:56 pmYes new MUGEN might pull off some cool stuff...but are wea ble to rip stuff for it to make it any different? So far our skills are limited to Mugen HR you can say the same about the current hack. this part totally depends of the author of the character/stage.the only difference now is that the engine has true support to HD resolutions. so its up to you to either rip the HD games, or create HD sprites. Elecbyte already did its part.
shamrock said, September 23, 2009, 05:03:51 pmHow come no one ever brings up porting it to the wii Because porting 2D fighting to the Wii is just silly you silly goose.
M0GL13 said, September 23, 2009, 05:00:56 pmi think this will end up just like Shugendo.ShugenDo is very alive so don't make any assumptions. It's just won't be any releases for while.
forget WII.....it sux xDI want to play MUGEN on PSP...or some other portable console...who knows may be someone will invent that for mugen one day
Comparing Sakir's ShugenDo to Elecbyte's MUGEN is unfair for both projects. They have different scales, different aims, different development levels, and an obvious difference in quality and potential.
