what is so bad about this feature?
and do you use this feature for adding the clsn?

i find it a useful feature because you can change the size of the clsn (smaller = more, bigger = less)

soo what do you think about this??

I don't know how precise it is, but this kind of automated tool can't replace the human eye and human appreciation. And no matter what, people will often use it incorrectly (way too many clsns, gaps between legs and so) and imagine that it's alright. So yeah, making people think that an incorrect usage is alright, making them think there's no need to even learn how to do it manually, that cannot be good.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Don't use it because Cyanide said not to use it, that's all you need to know.

In that case do it manually instead of the Auto CLSN mapper.

Hell even back when I tried making characters I didn't use the CLSN mapper. I knew better.

The clsn boxes are meant to account for a little bit of realism actually. You don't clsn a hand in a standing pose because logic suggests that it's not going to hurt, and the person probably flicked it out of the way. There is no reason a punch, at the edge of it's range will actually contact someones hand. At the same time, if someone is just that TINY bit too far away, extending the clsn beyond the fist is OK, cos said person would stretch that little bit more, or aim down a little.

That's what clsn's are meant to show. Going "my legs are apart your clsn in the middle shouldn't hit" is stupid as if it's THAT tiny a gap, in real life you'd adjust your aim a little bit. Or extend things a bit further up to hit said person in the groin.

This may all be made up, but bits and bobs are designed to show some realism and independance on the games behalf avoiding the fact that these are static images.

Also, anyone saying "lol realism" may as well remove gravity from their characters.

Wow, you've gone further than I have in analyzing CLSNs. GJ!

On that note, OW YOU HIT MY SWORD/STAFF/STICK THAT HURTS is retarded too, but sometimes, I guess if it's REALLY necessary, a bit of CLSN2 could reach in there as well to prevent that move from being too powerful.

Hum, actually, if you're striking with a weapon and it gets bashed away in the middle of your move, usually your arm is blown off along with the weapon it's holding. So yeah, it hurts - it at least hurts your joints.

I vote for 5-10 pixels beyond the furthest hand on weaponry. Helps if it's a slower move. Billys far C in KoF would be horrible if it couldn't be countered by attacks. Although a staff would be safer to punch than a sword or flaming blade or whatever.

I use it. <_< Well, to an extent. I use it then build upon it, call it lazy but at the same time works just fine. You can adjust the thing to give 2-3 clsn boxes per frame anyway.

Because I don't use it.

And if nobody complains, it's probably because it's not obvious― but that still does not mean it's a good idea to use auto-CLSN.

We know it sucks. It's been stated as poop a large number of times outside of this thread too. The problem lies in people who think it's great and pimp it out.

It's great to remove old CLSN boxes (if you set the size to like 4839983494579 and then choose it to replace the old boxes on all frames, it removes the old boxes, but does not set any new one).
