Yeah you really are on top of this too! Balancing the characters and learning more about coding and other things, these characters really do seem like they belong in the game. Your edits are pretty cool to play with until Sean releases the next patch. Also from what I see you're only going to get even better. :) Keep it up!

you could always use Sean's latest characters since they are updated to the game's standards. I plan on bringing a few new people to the roster including Ermac, Reptile, Fulgore and a certain Spartan eventually.

Not that it would matter to me, but since you've already done a fair bit of work on Strider Hiryu, you potentially try and work that into Strider Hien I suppose, that way you can still use a fair bit of the work you put into him.

Makoto will have a SF3 move set, with gameplay like CvTW, Combos, launchers, air combos.
Like I said you -might- be able to make the sprites 128+127 work, you only need one throw, since all of Sean's characters only have 1 assigned normal throw, I have a video I'm trying to upload with some issues I found (some which you probably just addressed too)
No problem, I've been having fun with him, tried the newest patch, and I'm glad you fixed some of the same stuff I saw. I am curious though, why did you change to sword throw to a "sonic boom" without the boomerang effect anymore? And why did you get rid of the big laser attack? I'm only asking just to know what made you want to change them, I think it would have been nice to keep some variety, rather than just the melee based super attacks. I do like the new level 3, but I wish the old one could replace one of the other combos instead, so he has a long range special also.
Hmm, well for the boomerang toss, I would have said you probably could have kept the original sprites, but maybe changed the behaviour, so instead of going through the opponent and returning, it would return upon impact regardless of whether it gets blocked or hits, and maybe that way you could have made the EX version the double hit version that actually went through. I can understand your reasons though because that's one thing I noticed myself about it being a bit cheap, it just strikes me as a bit odd though to have Charlie and him use the same projectile when they're not from the same game that's all, so it's more of a cosmetic difference just to set them apart.
I still think removing the super linking is probably a good idea, just because if you are trying to emulate the gameplay style of the CvtW characters it would be best without it, however I did notice it seems like you can't link more than 3 level 1's in a row now *not that you could in regular gameplay, unless maybe team mode was being played*

Nice you added some of the sounds, changed the sword effect, removed that X on the intro, and did fix a bunch of things like the super linking.
Some odd things I noticed however, if you use him against Mr. X and have Mr. X throw him, his throw state appears wrong, and rather than being held by his head vertically like he should, he shows up horizontal. Also if Hien throws another Hien, the throw animation for the opponent looks strange, because it appears as though he goes into a dizzy state while the grab is happening so it just looks strange that he's moving rather than standing still.
Is Hien's version for CvTW only?
I noticed something a bit strange, when Hien does his level 1 D+F+UT special, if the opponent is more towards the middle with Hien on the opposite side touching the edge of the screen *not necessarily the stage* his special does a bit of a strange camera panning thing, nothing large, just odd.
I fucking love MMLegends. There's a good chance this edit will end up in the game like Strider did.

Did yu try to use FF3? With Fighter Factory Ultimate that happens a lot, but with FF3 it's difficult to notice the colour loss.
Here's an idea:
Remove all order= 0's from your select.def and replace them with order= 1.
Remove all spaces from stage and char names.
Also, make a copy of your select.def and remove all but 4-5 characters and one stage. Experiment with order and your stages.
It's easier to spot problems when you're dealing with a smaller roster. As you find and fix your problems, add more characters. ;)Spoiler: This Is Something To Go By (click to see content)
Notice how Dan is order 10. This makes him "unfightable" in Arcade mode.
Notice how my stages don't have spaces in their filenames. This makes my Mugen problem free.

Decided to test the last version of Hien
- Some commands are wrong. Level 1 super is D,B+Z instead of D,F and Level 3 super is B,D,F+Z instead of D,B+Z
- Are you sure the Shuriken Throw is implemented, I can´t see to execute with the command provided.
- Level 1 and Level 3 are too similar, you could easily use level 3 as a level 1 and use that famous beam special that the other Strider Hien has as a level 3.
- I´m the only one that can´t even open the Sendspace link?? o_O mind checking that, please?
Pretty impressive how you manage to make a character with such limited amount of sprites, damn his movement is so unnatural. So, pretty nice work :)
Ok, These updates are good. The hypers for hien work like they should and the others chars have some tibits fixed.
One thing though, When I played with Juzumaru and did his crouching HK and did his spinning kick special it dragged his opponent with them even though they were still down. If you can do it right, you can get a hit and they can't do anything to block it. Just so you know I was just playing around with him.

... gotta say that his QCF+P chain punch combo can´t be used in a combo with the normals. This could make the character a lot more combo & user friendly (plus many characters in CvTW can cancel special moves into super moves IIRC). Also he could be able to cancel his level 1 super after QCF+P, again to be more user friendly. You get me?? Not bad, overall but pretty limited.
...Unless they are meant to be used in the CvTW fullgame to work properly??

One other thing I noticed that you left in the folder was that you still have KFM's intro and ending and it plays when you use him. His current level 1 seems to have too much invincibility on startup, so for him I guess it's really good, but at the same time it can't be interrupted at all on startup.
He's also completely invincible when he taunts.

Yes, Megaman Volnutt comes to CVTW! If everything goes well, Sean might make him official. He's rough around the edges but nothing but a bit of polishing won't fix.

-There's debug flood on his Shining Laser super.
-Not a bug, but you should add some transparency to the mine's explosion FX. I think they look ugly without it.
-In CvTW, you should be able to do a throw just by pressing C. You only have to hold directions for the variations. In this case, just pressing C should do the forward throw, and pressing Back+C should get the back throw.
-Another personal preference, but I think you should turn his dash into a run. Some characters in CvTW only have dashes, so it's not wrong or anything, I just think the rocket skates make for a better run.
-Damage on the EX Blade Arm Upper is very high, in my opinion. It does the same damage as most L1 Supers in CvTW. I'd drop it just a bit (to 160 or so) and just give it some other special property, like added invincibility frames or faster start up.
-He has an infinite on taller characters (i.e., anyone taller than him). It goes LP > HP > LP Blade Arm Upper > air LK > air HK > Repeat. Adding Air HP at the end makes it easier, but it can be done without it. It can only be done in the corner, and the damage dampener drops to near zero damage after long enough, but it's there. I don't really see any way to fix it besides eliminating his ability to cancel Blade Arm into his jumping kicks. I'd suggest doing that and just make LP Blade Arm Upper cause knock down, like a traditional DP.
-I also just noticed that EX Blade Arm Upper uses 1000 power, instead of 500.
-Both EX moves, as well as Hyper Shell give back power.
-Didn't he have voice lips for Hyper Shell and Shining Laser?

If you want, I think I can change his Shining Laser L3 to work more like it does in TvC. Right now, you have the base issues with the laser, and the way it works would be too similar to the Machine Buster. It would need to be recoded entirely, but the sprites are there for the most part. I was just going to do it for the version that goes into the CvTW full-game, but you can include it in your public one as well, if you like. What do you think?

Viruses don't cause hardware failure directly. It could be anything such as dirt, stactic, energy oscillation, overuse, misuse, even age.

Im trying to figure out how to code negative edge after cybaster asked about it , anybody know of a tutorial send me a link, i can only find shit from WAYYYY back 2004.
To do it, take all of your commands for your special moves and supers (e.g. ~D,DF,F,x), and add the alternate with button release (e.g. ~D,DF,F,~x), giving it the same name. There can be exceptions, if it doesn't make sense one way or another, or if it conflicts with another command, that can happen, of course it's up to you to figure out those details.

Just the command. What did the old tutorials say to do in the negative states ? :???: Maybe it was using alternate names for the commands and it told you to add the trigger to the changestates in statedef -1 ?
Ooh, right... There are EX moves, that'll be a little more annoying. What's the rule for negative edge on EX moves, do you need to release both buttons or can you release one and press the other ? Either way it's just a matter of playing around with the triggers and allowing certain combinations(keeping in mind that a single button press is 1 tick so you can do "command = qcf_release_x && command = press_y" - not like that but you get what I mean)no, that's not right at all. I don't even know what the rule is for negative edge on EX moves.

By the way, I have one tiny suggestion about the triple buster shot UT. Since the timing is a little tight to get all 3 with one UT bar and you can end up wasting bars by mistake, can you make the timing a little more lenient ? Maybe make it not consume one more UT if you just shot one immediately before ? (and still limit it to 3 on-screen)

I was hoping to find a playthough of Guy for ideas but I couldn't find one of that, and I didn't play Final Fight Streetwise but it may have had something you could have used for his UT. Otherwise I may suggest you could probably do something with him getting a small speed boost that allows for slightly longer combo chains, or some sort of counter move where he would vanish, teleport and then hit the opponent from the opposite side or something if connected.

- I know Guy's still a WIP, but dodge/roll isn't a good UT for him IMO. Maybe the teleport he got in SFA Anthology.
- The current Lvl 3 should be a Lvl 1, and Bushin Musou Renge (black and white SGS grab super thingy) should be his Lvl 3.
- What about his FF chain combo?

I think it may be better to keep it as it was, and have it as more of a target combo personally.

I think you made some strange decisions on her moveset. The Rising Knee is, IMO, boring. She's never had a plain rising knee attack as far as I know, it's usually the 2-Layer Kick. I also think omitting Surprise Rose, Trap Shot, and/or Mirage Kick unnecessarily limits her moveset. If you don't want her to have so many specials, I guess I understand, but I prefer the moveset she has in CVS2 (Venom Strike, Tornado Kick, Mirage Kick, Trap Shot, and Surprise Rose).
Are you going to add another L1 Super? Warusaki's had 3 supers, so it's right there (the trap shot/flip kick combo, can't remember the name).
Also, those Dodge moves are meant to have attack follow-ups. Look at Charlie for an example.

It's no biggie man, I love your edits. You got potential to make super characters. You even inspire others to try making DLC for this game. You, Slendy, Dr. Bob, and Trinitronity are the only ones I can think of that are working on DLC.
I can understand you just fine, you really do have a good talent. Now I just tried her out, I was wondering if you rushed about sending her link because her UT is empty and I can't grab the opponent. When I looked in her file I didn't see the ut state file. Or you just wanted to see about a couple of things like her basic moveset being solid? This is not to be mean or anything like that.

Edit: Just tried her out and now she pretty fun to play with! She can get close to her opponents with the right mindset and she has a good moveset to boot. She would also be a good challenge to fight against if she was human-controlled.

My plan was to recreate the original AOF system, where you could, for example, only shoot Haoh-Kens, if the second gauge you had in AOF is not empty. And the Power Charge would refill that gauge, while a taunt would drain the opponents gauge.
I decided to left out the taunt feature, because I cannot really translate that into the CvsTW system.

I know I'm a little late, but for Guy, I came through a move that makes him loop into himself.
Debug flood : in state 1005: changed to invalid state 1005 (from state 1000).
Also, during the DP+z super, the superspark is still there while Guy has already jumped to the opponent.
