1) Molebox.
http://www.molebox.com/
I'm not familiar with the program, but I hear it mentioned as being used for full games like that.
The site says you need the Pro version to update your compilation.

2)You have to turn on stretch.  Go to you mugen data folder, open the mugen.cfg file, and change this:

;Set this parameter to 0 to disable screen stretching, and set it to 1 if
;you want to scale it up to fit the current resolution.
Stretch = [glow=red,2,300]1[/glow]

The site works fine for me in IE6.  Firefox displays it like you described though.

Ok I have a bit of a problem with this screenpack I love the way it looks but for some strange reason my character select screen seems to be crunched in a corner o.o anyone know how to fix this

The screen pack as it is now is not compatible with hi-res select screen mugens like the one you are using.
You have to use it with regular mugen until the hi-res patch is made, or use a hi-res screenpack instead.

3. Why are the character portraits 'cemented' into the screenpack? This doesn't leave much room for customization. This makes it so you HAVE to put those particular characters in those particular slots.
4. Why do a bunch of extra slots pop up after like 10 seconds? Is there a way to set their appearance to default?

I imagine that the characters are where they are because that is their placement in the original game.

And the extra slots pop up because those are characters who were not in the original game.

I admit the covered slots annoyed me at first too.
Maybe an animation where the slots are covered at the very beginning and the black moves off to the sides to reveal them would be better.
Like how Capcom Fighting Evolution Max does it, but it would only cover the non-arcade slots.

Looks nice.  Simple, but still has a lot of style.
I don't have a chance to try it right now, but I like the look of it.

Well, you never know... Warusaki3 may still make his own.  I don't know who's were released first, but Rei and Warusaki3 both made Todo and Guile.  It probably depends on how he himself feels about the character.

I've never been much of a Joe user, but he seems like the same level of quality that usually comes from Gal.

I'll probably still use Byakko's more, but I'm a sucker for CvS2 grooves so he'll have a place in my roster.

No srry this was actually a first attempt at making this with the sff.

Well it's good that you are trying to learn and contribute.
Your version looks good for a first try.
It does lack a certain bit of life, though.
If it had the animations and foreground elements of Kyo's version it would probably feel less empty.

Follow Ziltama's advice and link and I'm sure your next effort will be better.

and ziltama the def file wasnt there when i got this stage last year.
He must of just did that.

I seriously doubt he recently put the def in there.  His last posting on the main page was Sept. 16th, 2003.
And the stage says, "Origin: Streets of Rage 2 Updated: 09/29/02,"

Mr. Sand said:

damn website.

What is damaged?  I tried both just now, and neither of the versions have damaged files.
Do you mean his causes an error in your mugen?
The site says for "M.U.G.E.N: DOS 04.14.01" sometimes stuff made for DOS mugen has "\" for file paths, and that will crash winmugen.

Go to this part of his def and change this:

I find it hard to believe that a def file was not made.  You probably either didn't download it or erased it.

You are correct.  Here is Kyo Kusanagi's site:
http://www.angelfire.com/ct3/tenjirou/

His zip comes with a def file (in case you want to see how the original author intended it).

I'm posting from work, so I can't try out your version, Mr. Sand.

Wow.  This is really cool.
I was never really bothered by the black continue screen because I always choose the same character when I lose.
However, I hadn't really tried out the hi-res stages because I have so many low-res ones I enjoy.  Now I can mix them up.

Patch was easy.  Thanks for this!
