Hello to the MUGEN community, the Outworld, Bisonopolis and Honmaru!

I am a MUGENer of new, but a fighter of old, with my main fighting games being Tekken 1, 2, 3 and Tag, and the Mortal Kombat 3 era. If anyone is interested in converting 3D Tekken models to sprite form with me, I am all ears (just like Sergeant Andrew Scott).

It will be a difficult process considering Tekken's animations are at 60 frames per second and the images don't flip when the player's on the other side (for example, Yoshimitsu's sword should always be in his left hand; Kunimitsu's knife is in her right hand, and P.Jack's right hand in Tekken 2/Tag rotates around due to the original drill mechanism, as seen in Tekken 1).

I created MAME cheats ages ago to 'play' animations in the arcade versions of Tekken 1, 2, 3 and Tag (TTT arcade has Tekken 3 graphics, different to that of the PS2). With these PS1-based games (including Tekken Tag), they all run at 512x240 by default, while Tekken 3 and Tag use 512x480 and have smaller characters on-screen. Basically, they just need ripping from still screenshots and resizing to a proper 4:3 square pixel resolution, unless of course someone knows how to rip the Namco format 3D data, which apparently differs from the standard PSX format. Of course, Soul series rips are welcome too! My main request is that the characters remain 'true' to their original form like Mortal Kombat characters, rather than cartoon/anime style.
Hu-huu! ... Urrrgh! [squirms on the ground after landing heavily on back]

Hey all I'm new to the forum. I joined because I wanted to take a stab at making my own version of mugen. I'll do some digging first but can someone point me in the direction of getting started with things like making my own title screen and such. Thanks in advance.

Introducing late. Better late than never I guess.

Ever have one of those late night thoughts of "Dude! I have the best idea! Im going to make a fighting game that features characters from various fight games under one system!" Well I had that thought and started looking around to find a general coding tutorial and found out... a lot of people already beat me to it. So now I dabble in coding to pass the time. It can be fun sometimes, kind of like raising a pet, but without the clean up is more complicated in the early stages.

Also, welcome to the guild new people!

Hi guys. i'm completely new to mugen and am not too sure how to import files into mugen to allow me to use them. Can someone please message me to tell me how. As i said I am new to mugen but i am familiar with sprites and animating them, I have even recently tried to make a flash fighting game based on street fighter sprite sheets but to no avail (which shows how good i am at coding :P). I have however managed to do a sprite edit all on my own :D. Sadly I am not too sure how to post it into a message, can someone please help me with that too? Sorry I know I'm hopeless. Nice to meet you all :D

Hey everyone.  I'm just getting into MUGEN, but I've been playing fighters for a long time now, so I hope that I can contribute something to the community.

Hola. I'm new to MUGEN. I'm an art student and don't have much experience with game design or web design, but after seeing the capabilities of MUGEN.... I'd gladly dabble. I just started modding my PSP. I'm an action/fighter/JPRG gamer. (Currently getting my butt kicked in Birth By Sleep Critical Mode.) I'll gladly look at tutorials, and if anybody wants to help; I'd appreciate that as well.
My favorite games are
1. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
2. Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)
3. Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX(PSP)
4. Final Fantasy 8 (PSx)
5. MGS4: Guns Of The Patriots(PS3)
6. Viewtiful Joe (PS2)
7. Shadow Hearts 2: Covenent(PS2)
8. The Zone Of the Enders 2(PS2)
9. Tekken 3(Psx) {I Miss Tekken Ball....}
10.Einhander (PSx)
