I'm almost done updating the first posts. Just have two questions:

@Balthazar:

1. Do you have separate gifs of each of those moves? Some of them are official and some are custom.... I can't put them all in one section.
2. Are both of Ken's moves from other existing games? Or just the first one? Sorry, my knowledge of non-special/super moves is very limited....

The second one with the roundhouse-into-axe kick, well that axe kick is official, so nothing's edited on those.
The 3rd one just has upscaled CvS sprites added to it to show how it'll look.

In SSF2 Turbo, Ken had all 3 of his special kick moves (qcf+K, qfd+K and hcf+K), and all three of them could be linked into his axe kick by holding down the kick button.

Sorry, I'm an idiot... at first I thought someone else had submitted the CVS Sean sprites so I had separated both questions intending to ask one to each person. Then I realized you submitted both the Ken and Sean sprites and bunched up both questions together, but forgot to indicate which question was related to which submission. Let me try again:

Regarding those Sean sprites:

Are both of Ken's moves from other existing games and not present in any form in the SF3 sheets? I'm asking because the way I have things organized now indicates that variations in animation for moves that, in a way, ARE already present in the sheet already go to the "IMPROVEMENTS/MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING ANIMATIONS" section (a good example is your SF3-styled Tatsumaki... techincally, it's in the sheet already).

Nope I only have a gif for that heavy kick, the rest aren't custom (they're all either from Ryu/Ken/Akuma in some way).

The roundhouse is obviously just a headswap from Ryu's roundhouse, and the axe kick are existing sprites,
the only move that would be original to the SF3 spriteset is the mock-up swirling leg kick I made with the upscaled CvS sprites.

new animation:
SFIII Ryuseiraku by FeLo_Llop (sprites) and Jmorphman (minor fixes) (Chun-Li - Capcom Vs. SNK):



From the first page, the SF3-styled Intro/Taunt, Cannibal Corpse Startup, Tenshokyaku, and the SFA/Capcom Vs. Series-styled Kicking winpose animations are all animations that are totally new and aren't improvements or modifications to existing ones. And actually, if Ryu's SFEX style Tatsu goes in the first post, then I think the Real Bout Styled TNT Punch and MvC ground/air dash animations would also go in the first post. :P

I then wonder why you don't want your sprites to appear there but in "New Custom Moves" instead...
That's probably because I didn't say anything remotely like that.

I said they're in the wrong section. They should go in the first post. How is this difficult.

I'll clarify this because I feel I haven't done a good enough job of explaining how I've organized these sections... (I wanted to keep the description of each section brief, but I ended up sacrificing clarity):

OFFICIAL MOVES: This section is only for developer-created moves that exist in a game in which that character is featured, but not in the sheet that the submitted animation belongs to, in which that same exact character is also featured.

     - Examples of stuff that's valid for this section:
          1. SF4-only moves for any 2D sheets (Focus Attacks, Ultras, etc...).
          2. MvC3-only moves for MvC1/2 characters (New Supers, moves, etc...).

     - Examples of stuff that's NOT valid for this section:
          1. Made-up moves that were never featured in any official games (Giving Cammy a unicorn-shaped fireball move, for example).
          2. Official moves given to a character that belonged to another character (For example, giving Adon a Tiger Shot move. Even though the "Tiger Shot" move in itself is an official, developer created move, Adon himself never performed it).
          3. Anything that applies to the "IMPROVEMENTS/MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING ANIMATIONS" section. See the description of that section to understand what this means.

NEW CUSTOM MOVES: This section is for any custom move that a specific character never performed in any other game in which they were featured.

     - Examples of stuff that's valid for this section:
          1. A "Spinning bird kick" move for Dan (Even though the "Spinning Bird Kick" in itself is an Official move, Dan himself never performed it).
          2. Anything else never performed by that character in any game in any similar fashion.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UNUSED MOVES: Moves sprited by the original developers that didn't make it to the final game (i.e. any work not created by fans).

I would actually prefer to get rid of this section altogether... most of these sprites are hosted in places like http://tcrf.net/ already.

IMPROVEMENTS/MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING ANIMATIONS: Any moves that already exist in the sheet but have been slightly modified in one way or another will go in this thread. Even if the animation is very different, if the move itself is already present in a very close form in that sheet, it will go here and not the other threads.

     - Examples of stuff that's valid for this section:
          1. Any animation extracted directly from the sheet and given more frames.
          2. A SF3-styled "Spinning Bird Kick" for CvS Chun-Li. Why? Because the move already exists in that sheet. There's not enough of a difference between the SF3 version and the SF2 version to warrant an inescapable need for a SF3 version (I don't mean this in a negative way, just saying that whoever decides to use one of these would be doing so more out of an aesthetical preference rather than the fact that they're missing sprites for the move altogether).


That said, I've screwed up a lot of these and put things in the wrong place now that I've made some considerations. Originally I had planned this thread for the first section and nothing else... people later started submitting stuff that I hand't thought of and I was forced to think of a way to organize them.

An example would be the new Ryo stance by CVSNB... my first thought was "He HAS a stance... this is just an aesthetical preference."... but maybe the fact that hitboxes would have to be set differently makes it more significant... I dunno.

Trust me when I tell you that I'm not too happy with the way it's arranged right now... it's just the way I could come up with. If you guys have any suggestions for how to better organize these sections, I'm all ears :)

Since we're including unused animations from the actual games, I figure I might as well link to the TCRF pages where I've already uploaded some stuff.
Super Turbo Some Akuma frames, most of which ended up in COTA, an alternate, horizontally-spinning Hooligan Combination.
Darkstalkers Lots of Huitzil stuff, bite throw animation for Demitri different from the one in Savior. Also lots of unused effects.
Night Warriors More Huiztil stuff, some Anakaris (mostly Khaibit-related) stuff.
Vampire Hunter 2/Savior 2 Yet another unused Huitzil safe fall animation.
