This is legit the most impressed I've ever been with Guile. If nothing else I await a 30 minute extended loop of his theme with bated breath. That is an absolute fuckin jam they whipped up for him in this game.

Since we've had the game for about a month give or take how about we share our mains. I for one wanted to main Mewtwo as soon as I realized it was in the game and honestly it's one of the few characters I can properly play. Loads of fun and I'm pretty sure I accidentally clicked with one of the stronger Pokemon in the game lol.

The Red Cyclone Variation
Zangief as we know him, but in his Red Cyclone outfit and 2-3 "trademark" moves that end with taunts similar to some wrestlers that are taunting their opponents after one of their signature or finisher moves.

Yeah that's the thing. Even after those patches Ganondorf was a bit slow for my liking (I never played the vanilla version of Hyrule Warriors since I got it in the summer of 2015). He dealt a lot of damage but basically all he boiled down to for me was using C6 and taking keeps in two hits. Otherwise it was just kinda flailing his swords around for dino damage. Trident has a lot more finesse and doesn't sacrifice any noticeable amount of damage for effectively longer range and much better mobility and weak point smashing. Put simply it's much less repetitive than Great Swords.
Lemme give you a quick example of what I mean. With the Greatswords, I'd always have to rely on one of his invincible moves (C1, Spirit Attack, etc) to get out of a tough spot because he just wades in and relies on getting overwhelmed to hit foes with giant AOE attacks. With the Trident I can save my meter for when I feel like using it instead of some necessity (Trident's Spirit Attack is a really nice way to snipe groups of foes in front of you imo) because nearly all of his moves can get you to other places and generally flows a lot better. Also C4 being an AOE attack that launches literally everyone around you to your front for extra juggling is the shit.
Don't get me wrong Greatswords Dorf is fucking great and he's got his uses but Trident not only fixes my main beefs with him but also gives me a Lightning element character that I can properly use (Lana and Waker Zelda just aren't my cups of tea in this game).

Yeah the Trident in general leaves him way less open. Some of his moves still do but it's a lot easier to not get hit by stray shit because of how quick he moves around. Def my new fave Ganon weapon.
