@Yue: if the font is truetype, it may have a .def file too, this is where the name of the font should be.
An example:
For a screenpack I made with a truetype font, I placed both .def and .ttf files into the "fonts" folder:
Prosto.def
Prosto.ttf
When you open the def file, this is what shows up:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
[FNT v2]
; FNT v2 version number. Don't change this.
fntversion = 2,00
; Name of this font.
name = "Prosto"
; Font author
;author = ""
[Def]
; This is a truetype font.
Type = truetype
; Size of font: width, height. Only height is used for truetype fonts.
Size = 25,25
; Spacing between font glyphs. Only height is used for truetype fonts.
Spacing = 1,0
; Drawing offset: x, y.
Offset = 0,0
; Filename of the font to load. Will search Windows font directory if not in current directory.
File = Prosto.ttf
; Preferred blending mode: 0 - none, 1 - blended.
Blend = 1
; Note: All units are in pixels.
; Text rendered with truetype fonts may be ASCII or UTF-8

Thank you!! That was it!
The file for stages/character is Victory.def, and inside it for the TTF it was named BADABB_.TTF, but it's actually BADABB__.TTF, two underscores. Idk why it was like that but, that was the problem!!
