Rev2 will be a dlc update if you already own Revelator, they just announced.

Now that are some good news. I bought both -Sign- and Revelator and hoped there will be dlc instead of another complete game update. Never played/watched the story mode anyway.

edit:

Rev 2 will contain some additional content for the Story Mode and online challenges and Arc Sytem Works said it will come at a "low cost"

Hoffmann's prediction is 15-25 bucks depending on the number of characters

Small price update, in the EU the price is EUR 329,99 (around $350)

The Xbox One S and Playstation 4 are both available here with games like Fifa 2017 or Uncharted 4 etc for 299 Euro.

Nintendo Switch Doesn’t Support Miiverse Or StreetPass

The Nintendo Switch will be abandoning social aspects present on the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U. David Young, Nintendo’s assistant public relations manager, told GamesBeat that the system would not be using either Miiverse or StreetPass. In regards to StreetPass, Young elaborated to say its omission was due to the view that the Nintendo Switch is more of a console than a handheld.

Young also noted that the Nintendo Switch will rely on other social media platforms for sharing. A share button is present on the left Joy-Con controller. At launch, it can be pressed to share screenshots on as-yet unidentified social media networks, and eventually will allow people to share gameplay footage online.

StreetPass, Nintendo’s tag mode service, was introduced on the Nintendo 3DS in 2011. It allows people who pass each other by while systems are in sleep mode to exchange information. Miiverse launched on the Nintendo Wii U in 2012, followed by Nintendo 3DS, smart device, and PC appearances in 2013. It is a social media network that allows people to share screenshots and post on message boards for specific games.

And Michael Pachter is making a good point there:
Michael Pachter: Nintendo Switch Is More Expensive Than Expected, Would Have Been Amazing At $200

According to Michael Pachter, the price actually creates issues for the system- he believes the system would have done incredible numbers at $199, and prices it a bit high for what will be a second console for a lot of people. “It’s more expensive than I hoped or expected. Thought it would be amazing at $200 and competitive at $250, but $300 seems a bit steep, especially considering that the other consoles are at that price. I think it will sell well to Nintendo fans, but it will be a second console for a lot of people,” he said

Here is the link to that article http://n4g.com/news/2004767/nintendo-switch-reveal-was-just-horrible

I think its not about bashing Nintendo there, the people seem rather to be disappointed. There are some lenghty comments there that explain the negative reactions pretty good. There are the usual stupid "hater" comments there "Nintendo is garbage blabla" as well as the overly dramatic "Nintendo Defense Force "guys "You dumb entitled gamers" replys as well but overall its pretty informative.

After seeing the Switch Presentation myself just an hour ago I asked myself why I would want to buy it. I am never playing on portables, don't care for that option and the games they showed were looking just like slightly upgraded Wii U games.

I will laugh out very loudly if their online subscription service from fall 2017 costs around 5 bucks per month.

Instead of getting a handful games like on ps+ or xbl, subscribers can only download one nes or snes game per month.

Aren't these threads basically showcases for the artists? Even if 15 of the 15 posts per page would be by them..whats the problem?

Maybe leave it to admins to act like you do here every week and stop to tell people what they should do or not?

Only 3% of Developers Making Games for Switch

Only 3% of Developers Making Games for Switch According to Survey

While there’s no doubting many people around the World — be it gamers, press or both — are looking forward to seeing what Nintendo have to show and offer at tonight’s (or tomorrow’s, technically, if you’re residing outside of the US) press conference in which more crucial information will be revealed regarding the Nintendo Switch, a survey released by the UBM today — prior to this year’s Game Developer Conference (GDC for short) — shows that of the 4,500 attendees that responded to questions concerning the Switch, only 3% of developers are currently making games that will be available on Nintendo’s upcoming console.

Compare this with not just Nintendo’s competitors in the current-gen console market — Microsoft’s 22% for either the Xbox One or Project Scorpio and Sony’s 27% for the PS4 or PS4 Pro — but also previous-gen hardware — the Xbox 360 also receiving 3% support while the PS3 is getting 2% — as well as the statistic that more developers (4%) are making games for Apple TV and it paints a rather revealing picture of where Nintendo stand at present in regards to their relationship with 3rd party game makers.

I think, today it does not matter anymore how easy a fighting game is.

I disagree, making fighting games easier is good when done the right way. Street Fighter V has numerous problems, but the one big thing it got right is the controls. Adding a bigger buffer for what would otherwise be one-frame links I think played a huge part in the number of people who picked up the game.

I hope that unlike SFV, it's not turned into an easy mode mess with gameplay choices that strip the fun from the game.

Hey, I did not want to say that I think that it is not good to make a fighting game easy, but that can be done through an easy mode like the one we had in MVC2 as example, I like choices.

@snakebyte the cool thing in TTT2 was that it allowed you to choose just one character instead of 2. A choice like that, similar to how it was done in good old Capcom Vs. SNK I (Ratio System) would have been the ideal choice for MVCI if the developers really just wanted to have an easy solution there for newbies/people that prefer to play with only 1 or 2 characters instead of 3.

I get where they're coming from with that.  It's difficult enough for a fighting game newbie to learn how to effectively use one character, let alone three at once and all the combinations therein.

I think, today it does not matter anymore how easy a fighting game is.

I mean, we have super easy fighting games since around 15+ years now. Games with easy modes, with simplified commands. But the behaviour of the younger gamers seems to stay the same. They seem to not want to "learn" a character anymore..no matter how easy it is. They expect to mash a button to do combos and special moves and when they play it against friends or family members that is enough but when they play it online against the experienced fighting game players that are often older than 25 they lose and lose, become frustrated an don't play the game anymore.

Only like 10-20% of us people that buy fighting games seem to be able to juggle in Tekken, are able to perform a Shoryuken or a Psycho Crusher or perform a fatality in Mortal Kombat without buying the "easy finisher" microtransaction.

Sorry if that was too off-topic.

Okay let's get back to MVC Infinite News

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Producer Reveals Reason Behind Return To Two-On-Two Battle System

Fans of Capcom's crossover Versus series of video games are continually on the lookout for any new information regarding the franchise latest installment, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. A lot of gamers however have been wondering why the company had chosen to lessen the number of team members per battle from three to two. Now, Capcom has come out with an explanation regarding their decision.

During the game's official unveiling at the previously held PlayStation Experience last year in Anaheim California, it was revealed that the next game would see the return to a two character team format. The game's co-producer, Peter Rosas, recently explained their decision to go back to two-on-two battle system, as per a report from Segment Next.

According to the report, Rosas explained that the decision was to make the upcoming sixth main installment in the franchise a more beginner friendly title. The producer mentioned that the previous games actually had players make roughly six decisions in total before they begin a battle.

The selection of the third team member, which was specific only for his or her special ability, was deemed to be superfluous. Rosas further explained the return to a two member team would create more emphasis on partnership and a loyalty towards certain team-ups for players of the game.
