Navet, I didn't mean to be agressively sarcastic, just to prove a point, sorry if it was a bit too much. :-\

Cool, I was just proving an example. While many epistemologists define psychology as a non-formal science (like maths and logic, for example), it is still considered a science in a worldwide scale. Note that I mentioned medicine, astronomy and maths in the same sentence, which all belong to different 'kinds' of science, but all are scientific fields, after all.

Some stuff regarding psychology are definite facts. Actually, if you think psychology the way I do, all stuff regarding psychology is science; the rest just isn't psychology, but plain junk. :P

Maybe you think I'm referring to psychotherapy or psychoanalysis... I'm not. Psychology encompasses more than these (actually, the last one is mostly considered pseudoscience). And still, there ARE empirical studies with quite accurate measurement systems that PROOF that getting therapy is better than not getting it. Of course there might be very unprofessional individuals, but that can apply to doctors or to any other line of work as well. I also agree 'you shouldn't buy all' individuals. But it should always be better than not getting any help, the exact same example as a doctor.

BTW I bought a book on 'Scientific Dream Content Interpretation' a couple of years ago. It's based on a 2500 people sample in a Dream Lab in Florida and a series of experiments which involve MRIs and PETs as measurement devices. This study conclusively proves (as much as a medical study does) that dream activity is related to emotional issues.

So yes, psychology is a science, as far as I (and the scientific community) thinks. :)

BTW, hopefully I'm getting my masters degree in March. ;P

watch a horrofilm with tons of splatter, that will solve the problem :P

no joking.

dreams are a way of solving some problems with the own self.
things that you're not aware, you see as a dream, so no problem, unless you have it several times.
then i suggest you to meet a psychological therapeut.
made of ripped hearts waving far away,
only my memory stays still, as i say.
Looking to sky,
oh, how many people wished to fly?
i don't know,
beacuse life's harshness is a mainpart of god's show

Truth be told, there are many theories on what dreams *really* are, and while some of them mention what you say, there is fairly few conclussive material on the issue. :P

I already watched a bunch of snuffs and splatter/gore, in the last years. This type of movie does not give me any effect.

But now I dreamed myself in these type of movies. This scares me a lot, man. D:

I thought dreams were just the brain compiling all the information gathered during the day while conecting it to relevant memories and the reason it doesn't make sense is because the brain also turns off your logic centre (which is also why you get loopy with lack of sleep).
