Doing major update to all characters thanks to the feedbacks I got last year when I released the third beta of AOFF. =)
I am currently working on Terry Bogard (obvious). I will also be drawing new portraits.
Here is what's gonna change :
- More damages to ot make the game too long
- Voices on the same channel (forgot that)
- Now you must use the X button for : Charging the POWER METER ; Doing feints (down, down forward, forward + X) ; Dodge attacks (after a guard, fwd + X)
- Desperation moves (DM) are now normally block-able
- DM have a little "Super Spark"
- DM have a SUPERPAUSE when cancelled into (in a combo)
- Feints have the same Super Spark as the DM
- Feints now need a minimum of 70% of the Power Meter
- Feints now use 20% of Power if used IN A COMBO
- Super Desperation Moves (SDM) are now guard-crush (except throws ; exemple : Terry's Triple Geizer is guard-crush while Hakkyokusaiken Senpuu Ken is UNguardable)
- SDM also have a Superpause with Superspark
- Special attacks use less power
Also, introduction of the ALREADY KNOWN "SUPER CANCEL" called here "FINAL IMPACT" (like in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special Dominated Mind). It's just cancelling a certain Special Attack into a DM.... Classic. Terry can cancel POWER WAVE into POWER GEIZER DM.
Also some more fixes are planed. I have a list ready. I just gave what's done on Terry.

Today's work was done on Andy, after finishing Eiji 's update. In addition of the update, I fixed some stuff on Andy like (Geki) Hishouken not connecting on close distance as well as Neo Zan'ei Reppa SDM.

Robert updated with everything needed, same for Joe. Also added an alternate follow-up to his Bakuretsu Ken (TNT punch), it's the uppercut like in RB2. Joe can "Final Impact" his regular Hurricane Upper or any TNT follow-up into Screw Upper.

(note : "impact" is offscreen because it's supposed to move into the center of the screen, it's not a position bug. :P)

Billy also being updated. I have fixed his DM :
- if blocked in corner it will do multiple block-hits
- when FINAL IMPACTed after his Dragon pursut in corner, it won't do multiple hits (because there is a nojugglecheck during supercancels)
- if Billy is hit during the first part of his DM, the fire will disappear
- cornerpush won't affect the position of his flame anymore

Currently working on this. It's Mai's Super Desperation Move from Real Bout Special. I am merging the SDM from Real Bout 1 with this one.

Wild Wolf will have his Power Dunk cancel and his REAL Power Charge (because in the last beta, he does automatically the three attacks at movehit)
I was thinking about adding him the same SDM Terry has, taken from the anime (and from Krauser)...

It think it's better you keep him as different as possible from regular Terry.

You're right. Instead, I'll add another SDM (maybe Heat Up Geizer from Fatal Fury Wild Ambition... I don't like his Kof03 LDM, not to mention I try to avoid stuff coming straight from KOF).

Yamazaki updated with all new basics + SNAKE ARM 's command is no more like Fatal Fury 3 / Real Bout 1 (QCB + C, then hold up for upward version), it's now like in Real Bout Special / KOF games (A for up, B for forward and C for down). Also changed the command for "Dagger of judgement" (from "F, DB, F" to "F, D, DF") and "Exploding headbutt" (from "F, B, D, U" to "HCF")
List of updated characters : Ryo, Terry, Robert, Andy, Takuma, Joe, Yuri, Mai, King, Kim, Lee, Tung, Kasumi, Xiangfei, Yamazaki, Eiji and Billy.

Yeah for the abs I took the standing far A attack which is the same pose. But in KOF2003 the Snake Arm sprite was done by "MAGIC ABS" artist while weak punch was done by "sexy abs" artist.
Nobody noticed some... changes? on Kasumi Todoh? :O

The only person who cares about Kasumi's legs was too busy looking at Yamazaki's abs. :P

Anyway, after updating John Crawley to the new AOFF basics I.... just wanted to update his spriteset. Firstly I wanted to add frames to some of his attacks and change some other poses. Then after a look at his SFF, I wanted to change/add details in most sprites (leg shading, hair, glasses...) and I am currently ending by changing the outfit to his AOF2 version.
Remember AOFF John uses Mr.S (from Mugenchina) 's John base (permission granted by Misamu), and he based his Clark/Ralf edits upon the AOF1 version which is also the outfit base for someone else's John. So I thought "why not making his AOF2 outfit".
Of course it's very much work. I could get bored fastly like I was getting bored of editing sprites for LOLI YURI (but I swear I'll finish her someday). But I'll do my best.

Tomorrow I'll be updateing Mr.Big and Krauser to the latest basics, as well as Mr.Karate (Ryo) and Wild Wolf.
John is... in progress. And God knows how much I love doing sprite edits! :D (I really love it but I get bored rapidly, plus a big week of work is coming soon)

Note that the back walk of the old version of John was directly taken from Mr.S 's version, which is why it sucked.
And also, walk forward used Ryu/Ken/Gouki sprites from SVC chaos. In the update I changed the legs but I kept the top because I think it's cool.
