If I may say something, they seem a bit clunky and unnatural. I notice the uppercut sprites do not align well with the opponents it sends flying. I also notice a bit of unresponsiveness in the characters. It might just be me though.
I don't think they feel clunky or unnatural. Since 90% of the animations come directly from Mortal Kombat, any unnaturalness can be blamed on that, but I honestly think it's fine. I don't know where you're getting that from. As far as being "a bit unresponsive," they respond just fine for me. I don't even see how one would have any control over responsiveness to controls, anyway. That's an engine thing, which I didn't code. Thanks for the feedback though, but I don't see what I can do about any of that.
It's hard for me to explain, but the characters feel so... They just don't feel right to me.But frankly, I get the clunky feeling from a lot of your characters. I also think a lot of your characters could also have much more interesting move-sets. The flip-kick you added for Scorpion doesn't really fit him, and isn't all that creative.
Whoa!! Separate releases for two of my most cherished MK characters, let alone favorite characters of all time!? I snagged these right away and they are quite awesome. Thanks very much for sharing them separately, but more importantly, making my roster even more complete. You rock @Sean!!

The flip-kick you added for Scorpion doesn't really fit him, and isn't all that creative.Well, I don't think they feel clunky at all, so that's just a point of disagreement. The flip-kick comes directly from Mortal Kombat. He had it in Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon, and a variation of it most recently in Injustice. This is actually not the first time I've pointed this out.I'm sorry my characters' movesets don't interest you, but it's something I can live with. When I translate a character to Mugen (i.e., Squall, Rorschach, Scorpion, etc.), I try my best to be faithful to the original source. If you find the moveset of my Scorpion uninteresting, than you find Scorpion's moveset in general uninteresting since all of his moves come from the various games he's officially appeared in. The only completely original move I gave him is the Hellfire Combo Super, and I will admit that it isn't a very creative move, but it's exactly the type of super move Capcom would give him if they put him in one of their games, IMHO. It is designed as a counter to his other L1, to make him more versatile.Your feedback is very vague and, to be frank, not terribly helpful. I respect your opinion but your problems with my characters are subjective and I won't be able to address any of them. I learned long ago that I can't please every one. I hope you understand.Saikoro said, August 28, 2013, 04:34:24 amWhoa!! Separate releases for two of my most cherished MK characters, let alone favorite characters of all time!? I'm not sure I can describe them easily. There's nothing all that wrong with them, they just feel clunky and unresponsive to me. Their gameplay just seems... average. Maybe it's cause Scorpion's attacks are slow, and cancel out at awkward times, which kind of adds to the unresponsiveness of it. I wish I could say more than "they just don't feel right to me," but I can't really pinpoint what it is I don't like about them.

I was trying to say that Seanalty's characters are well made. TylorGoldenYoshi said, August 28, 2013, 05:13:10 amWhoa, let's not start a flame war here!Yes please, let's not. I'm starting to worry that what I'm saying could result in one, and I don't want this. I'm not saying Seanalty's characters are bad in any way. In fact, they are quite good.
Aldo said, August 28, 2013, 05:42:48 amNo standard sized resolution big portrait?? oh well.I totally forgot about that, wow. I will update them immediately. What I silly thing to overlook.
Very nice SeanAltly!Really enjoy your chars.Did you remove Sub-Zero´s MK "feature" of the double ice backfire on purpose?Would be awesome to see Movie-Mario as your next public version release.
It happened as a side effect of adding the ability to use it during combos. The Double Ice Backfire is a nice nod to the games and a classic feature, but I honestly didn't know how to code it so you could still do it while still using freezes in combos.Mario is Jango's character. I need to finish his last couple of animations, he only needs like two more. I feel bad for keeping him waiting so long. I'm sure he'll release a public version when he finishes him.
Yes, that´s why I like the MK "Fatality" pop up. How about another nod to the source game with a little twist?Would love to see at random a sprited face of Dan Forden saying "Toasty!" after Sub-Zero/Scorpion uppercut or a version of you SeanAltly, yelling "Toasty!".
The Toasty thing had occurred to me. I'll probably add it in at a later date. Thanks!Just updated the downloads, they now have proper standardized portraits.
I didn't get any standardized portraits when I reDLed them but I got them from the Sendspace mirror (The main links are still real slow)
Oh yeah, whoops, I only updated the site links. I'll update the Sendspace links within the next few minutes.EDIT: Alright, should be good now.

Said the same thing I was about to,but instead of doing it for the uppercuts,I was thinking for Dan to show up when Scorpion finished the round with Toasty.
well Dan Forden has 2 or 3 versions of the "Toasty" quote. For Sub-Zero he says "Frosty" and for regular character besides Subby he says "Toasty". This was back in the MK3 days
Memo said, August 27, 2013, 06:00:26 pmLol, Loving the Mario spoiler.I see Luigi's legs on the tops left corner too lolI'm going to get these, I can't believe I didn't notice this thread earlier man

I don't know if its just me but it seems you might have accidentally ported over the UT bar mechanic as well, as if I do Sub's short range ice blast or Scorp's firewall eventually I'm unable to do them
Whoops, forgot to remove this from statedef 990 on both characters:[State 0, VarAdd]type = VarAddtrigger1 = animelem = 1v = 37 ;fv =value = -2;ignorehitpause =;persistent =I'll try to upload an updated version soon, but for you more savvy mugen folk you can just delete/comment out that and it should fix the issue.
Ah. So if I'm reading that right with the little I know, there's an additional variable (VarAdd) that triggers the animation element (animelem) with a value of 37/-2??I so sound like Dr. Emmett Brown here!! LOL
I think I found an infinite with Sub-Zero. When I do the combo LPx2, HP and normal Freeze, when I do the punches again I'm still somehow able to fire a normal freeze then and even aside that if I use an EX freeze instead of a normal freeze afterwards, the punches give Sub enough power to keep this combo going for a long while. It requires timing but still.
