That doesn't sound much like a parry.

And given that AT Fields can be generated regardless of size, I suppose it makes more sense anyhow. Also, AT Fields tend to be busted wide open whenever the plot demands, leaving the user pretty much defenseless.

Yes. The Lance of Longinus is merely physical plot forcing itself though.

Well it's not like that's a very unique and characteristic move.  Ryu and Akuma both had something similar beforehand.
