Finally watched Dany-the-Dog :
Very good movie, with fabulous actors, nice scenario, switching between emotions ("love" and music) and action. No slow parts, everything goes on smoothly. Definitely a must-see IMO. :)

The Prophecy III: The Ascent

Christopher Walken is Gabriel one last time. After losing against the angels loyal to god, then losing in the first movie because of his rivalry with Lucifer and getting cast down to hell, being spit up again (one devil is enough) and losing again in the second movie... errr well anyway, so the former Archangel is now exiled from both heaven and hell and is mostly human with angelic powers, lived in this way on Earth for some 18 years as a homeless guy with long hair (!), and he even learned how to drive cars.

Fun. Although he steps back for much of the movie and is a guardian and watcher rather than the figure who moves the plot forward. It's still awesome. (If he was the evil Terminator in the first two movies, he's now the Guardian Terminator here.) And he's looking for the word of God, isn't that cute? :wings:

"You been with a woman, Zophael? It's like dying... you moan, cry out. You get to a spot that has you begging for release. Once, I was an Angel of Death... now, I die every day... when I have the cash."

Catwoman

:omg:

The Passion of Christ

The cheap (!) ending of The Prophecy 3 is more, ah, spiritual and moving than this entire movie:

"In the end, there's still the word. Everywhere. In heaven with angels, the Earth and stars; even the darkest part of the human soul. It was there the word burned brightest, and for a moment...

 I was blinded."

All this movie moved me to was

1) lol the Romans speak Latin
2) that poor Mel Gibbson :sad3:
3) ???
"Several times now, Achamian thought he had glimpsed golden haloes about Kellhus's hands. He found himself envying those, such as Proyas, who claimed to see them all the time."

Title: Lost In Translation, starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johanssen

The basic rundown of this movie is Bill being paid two million dollars to do a whiskey commerical in Japan, S. Johanssen a recent college grad not really sure what it is she wants to do with her life. Her husband (Givonnai Ribisi) is promoting a movie in Japan. A chance meet happens between them and they become close friends, sharing an obvious unconsumated romance, enjoying their limited time with each other.

Don't know how people thought the movie was funny - its more serious with a few humorous moments to move it along. Either way, I liked it.

I watched it Sepp. Now watch Pi already.

Oh yeah, I remember you telling me about that some weeks back. I'll place it on hold at the library now that it's on my mind.

I liked that movie...especially when it has that kickass actress as one of the main actors
and the movie was that kind of movies we have the chance to see once or rarely in life...all in all it was very very unique

Sean Penn deserved his Oscar for Mystic River, but Bill Murray as well, in my opinion. He needs to get one sooner or later...

<[Sepp]> perfect. somehow. my absolute favorite. saw it for the xth time
<[Sepp]> last weekend, at a friend's; she hadn't seen it before and the
<[Sepp]> verdict was: no problem if our plans for tomorrow don't work out, we could just watch that movie again.

The Virgin Suicides

Sofia Coppola's first movie, the one before Lost In Translation. Umm. Rather than continue leading their non-life under their ultra-conservative and restrictive parents, five sisters commit suicide. Josh Hartnett's not entirely innocent either, the bastard; it almost turned out well until he ruined it by leaving Kirsten Dunst in the night! . . . I couldn't really get into the movie.

The Aviator

I like Cate Blanchett but her make-up scared me (yuck!) and I liked the bit about having to worry over money. DiCaprio does a good job portraying the obsession/brilliance, but the movie's too long and I was impatient towards the end: yes, we got the point, he's kinda insane and repeating things, but that doesn't mean you have to keep repeating them as well---we got it!---now drop it already!

The Big Lebowski

A story about Lebowski, notorious slacker, who prefers to go by The Dude, and his carpet. He gets mistaken for another Lebowski and entangled in some haywire situations involving Nazis, nihilists, the porn industry, bowling, Jesus, drugs, Julianne Moore and more. Really didn't expect that one. We were laughing tears several times. o.O

16 Blocks

Bruce Willis is a tired cop who gets the day's final assignment just as he's about to go home: deliver a witness to court in the next two hours, just 16 blocks away. More suspense than action, which I liked. It stresses "do the right thing" and "people can change," but in a charming enough way so it's stomachable.

The alternate ending was just as good as the theatrical version IMO.

Are we talking about Castaway?

I like Tom Hanks. I liked Castaway.
I hated the ending.
The ending transformed the overall message of the story to,
"It really sucks to be Tom Hanks."

Welcome back to the real world; where not even soccer balls will keep you company.

I guess it was okay. I don't need to see it again for sure.

I went ahead and ignored the main character's invincibilititis that he catches right off hand.

I mentally numbed myself so I could enjoy it more though.

I'm trying not to nitpick movies like I used to... they can't help themselves anymore.

HAW HAW!

I was the last person in the movie theater just to check it out.
Really that movie was pretty much perfect.
The soundtrack was lacking.
