I'd personally like to know why he put Noob that low. Is he really that much of a noob? :P

Cause he does massive damage, can win all projectile wars, and can perform 80% combos midscreen and 100% combos in the corner.

In short, hes awesome.

If I remember correctly, most (if not all) of Noob's gameplay revolves around the Shadow moves and they can be blocked AND can leave you in a massive disavantage. That also goes for his X-Ray as well.

good point about jax.

as for noob, yeah hes low for a reason
-limited combo options
-limited mix up
-his best strategy is zoning whihc 60% of the roster has a solution for
-hes very open to punishment outside his zoning
one good advantage is though is any combo that you can get with an xray will do high damage

GOH

I always knew the hatred towards the MK series was well known, but after reading the comments section on Shoryuken, I think that there are some salty ass people there. Very salty.

I do question why Spike chose Vanilla MvC3 over Ultimate MvC3 and why WWE All Stars is even considered a 'fighting game'?

What else was there?  Ultimate was just a rehash of Vanilla, and KOF13 came out when, last week?  Either way, if only Saltmine was in the salt business, business is a-booming.

Given the circumstances, Mortal Kombat was the obvious winner.

Vanilla MvC3 was lol, KOFXIII didn't even have a chance to be played throughly and WWE 12 isn't even really a fighting game.

The only other nominee I could think of would be Arcana Heart 3 but then again...these are the SPIKE VGA.

Wow, that dubstep guy is the very definition of a biased dumbass fanboy.

Good point, man.  Either way, it's good to see Mortal Kombat win this award, even if Spike kind of shoved it to the wayside on their show last night.

I'm glad MK won game of the year I think it had the most to offer out of those mentioned other then kof. The Story Mode was the best I have seen in a fighting game, The Challenge tower, and an optional tag mode make it almost 2 games in 1. An updated fighting system, better use of breakers, xray moves, and characters that don't play close to each other. I think it can compete with SF or atleast give you another option. After playing KOF XIII for a little while I think it is more for hardcore fighters, doing the trials showing whats possible and the strictness might be too much for some plus it just came out not sure why it was on the list. Maybe for next year it could win. Not the biggest fan on mvc3 but play it for fun every now and then so I might be bias against that game. But for those calling it Capcom Co., Ltd., I like SF4 and am glad they made it they are probably one of the biggest reasons all my favorite fighters are coming out because it did well it showed their was still interest in the 2D fighting game genre.
