Speaking about "forgotten franchises"...Namco-Bandai just showed their strong dedication and uploaded a 20th Anniversary Celebration of the SoulCalibur series video. The anniversary was back in january though when SoulEdge was making it into the Japanese Arcades.

i really dont think they plan on having three fighting games going on at once and that line probably meant any of their other games

with sfv for serious fans and marvel for casuals I don't think they want to canibalize on themselves like they did with sfx tekken; unless they make a very different kind of fighting game (think smash or tekken)

If they want to revive another fighter franchise, it'd be pretty obviously easier to first toss a couple of guys in MvCI. The actual franchise revival could come a few years later.

For me, it points to Megaman X. If he's going to be important in MVC:I story, then it looks like a revival.

Maybe they can port it to other platforms?

Start small with Super Nintendo and then make your way to Nintendo Switch and other systems seems like a plan, although it is an odd one.
