Howdy! Been quite a while, hasn't it? Well...aside from doing a bunch of LPs (Megaman X1-3 and a remaster of my old ancient FFVII LP), been working on Touhou Fantasy, dealing with a left thumb that doesn't work properly, and BSoDs that just don't want to stop. Anywho, since my left thumb isn't working 100% of the way yet, decided that my next LP is going to be FE7. I already got the Prologue and Chapter 1 recorded (and converting right now. Was working on chapter 2 but BSoD happened right at end of the chapter so nullified the entire video right there...*sigh*), and I know there's a few things that I need to think ahead for.1) The Gaidens. I will probably be trying for these at the very least. How easily viable it will be for someone like me to do so, I don't know yet, even worse when BSoDs can happen at any random given moment.2) The split routes. I know that you have to beat Eliwood's story in order to unlock Hector's, but I'm wondering if I should even bother doing that mode? I mean...it basically is having me replay the entire game twice, bar a couple extra levels added. I don't know if I WANT to go through it a second time or not.That's...really all there is to that right now. I'm hoping the LP doesn't take TOO long (it will, I already know it will because it's FE and BSoDs combined = bad times...), but we'll see. If my thumb doesn't recover by the end of FE7, not sure what I'll be doing afterwards...but thought I'd at least give a heads-up on this for those who don't know. Originally, Crisis Core, Megaman X4, or Dirge of Cerberus were going to be next but...ya know.
Hector's story differs from Eliwood very little. The only differences I recall are a new Gaiden chapter, a chapter (or two?) available in his story mode, and 2 new recruitable characters, but that's it, as far as I remember. If you don't feel like playing the game through twice, then don't bother with Hector's. Other than that, I can't wait to watch your FE7 LP!
The only reason I ask that is because I did both Ephriam's and Eirika's routes in FE8, although both of those routes were completely different. If there's not that much difference other than those and some changed dialogue then...yeah, probably won't bother hue.
