I watched the video a second time. The kid conveniently gets "sick" when he realized his dad is going to beat him when he fucks everything up.  His dad also doesn't even try to follow him to maximize camera exposure.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, So far I haven't seen any proof that this is bullshit other than a little kid saying something about a show and he threw up.

We might be persecuting these fucks for no reason.

I think stupidity is plenty reason, personally, as long as it dies down after a week or two.

Now, if it turns out it WAS just a big publicity stunt, then yeah, burn the parents at the steak and make it so the kids are haunted by this wherever they go.

It was just a publicity stunt, can't remember what source I found that article... damn.

Apparently, it really was a publicity stunt cooked up by the parents. After admitting to it, they volunterily to turn themselves in to spare the kids from any prosecutions.
The Police Department is filing a law suit that may get the parents from 6-7 years. ...ONLY if the other factors did not come into play, the national media, the local airport having to close down while this chase happened... it's a real mess.

Those parents are sick, using their kids and telling them to lie just to get 15 more minutes of fame. Mix with the kids actions during interviews and how nervous the boys are around the father, indicate a type of abuse is clearly present in this household.

Edit: Either way, I sense a South Park episode out of this.
