The uneven shoulders are really off-putting though The viewer's right shoulder looks fine, but why is the other shoulder all sloughing down? The rest of his arms seem evenly positioned enough?

Man its CVS, so only cvs shading patterns.Maybe I will make a SF3 or something better...I will try making another shading (sf3 maybe) for Magma Dragoon : p
whatcvs sprites use different shading for different materials, like rock's leather pants or bison's metallic parts
I just made a conversion from the Bass IMT sprite, I will take care to post something better next time lol @edit:I feel I went completely OFF on my spriting style but looks better now ( But well I made the same thing for my Megaman X and I'm happy with it : p) ( I have to train my english to dont sound on the wrong mood when I post something)

I mean, does it look similar to it? And then the size is another problem to. You already know that Titlin.I would think it would work, but in a way, I can see some similarities and some differences. It's 50/50 to me. And I agree to, but people believe CvS only has four cells (light source, midtone, shadow tones, and the anti-alias) which I discovered looking at the SNK characters from CvS that they range from 3 to 5.
