Bardock Z2My attempt at Balthazar's style. I based him off Bardock from DB Tap Battle.LunchPoliceYup, it's me.Dubsy Character design belongs to enigma from Ace Attorney Online.NaromeAn original character of mine.Spoiler: Original post (click to see content)I decided to sprite a roleplay character of mine for fun. It's not really that Street Fightery, and I have no idea how good it is.Here it is anyway.- right click > view image to see it better -Comments are welcome
by the stance it looks like he is going to fight like bruce lee.nice detail, you even give him nipple... but that green face paint thing doesn't look good on sprite, it will just like a palette mistake than a design imo. and the pants is kinda too tight for the style, and even if you want to make an old worn out looking fabric , use at least 3pixels to form a triangle showing the ripped/ torn/ parts, don't use 1 pixel because it will look like random stray pixels.
So I know this is a mega necro bump... and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post in it anymore, but I guess it IS my art thread... Eh whatever, someone lock this if I'm not allowed. I made a new sprite of the same character. Thoughts? Here's a non-sprite version for reference http://lunchpolice.deviantart.com/#/d56j5ti
Phew. Finally finished the stance animation.Comments? Posted: August 04, 2012, 05:16:05 amHere's another stance I made today, but the character doesn't belong to me.Character design made by enigma on Ace Attorney Online. Posted: September 29, 2012, 12:26:55 amStarted making a little fix up, but I want to know if it looks any better before actually filling in the details. Here's a very WIP walk animation.
LunchPolice aka Quack said, September 30, 2012, 10:22:24 amAnyone?Really nice, but I think you should do one or two frames at the end of the gif for a transition.LunchPolice aka Quack said, August 03, 2012, 01:28:14 pmStarted making a little fix up, but I want to know if it looks any better before actually filling in the details.Does the green hand have to be bigger than the other one? I was looking the first post.
QuoteReally nice, but I think you should do one or two frames at the end of the gif for a transition.Damnit... alright, I guess I'll try that out! Thanks dude. no offense but it doesnt really look like a walk cycle. You may want to use Ryu's for example, because it looks somewhat similar
Hey guys I made an edit to make his torso thrust less ridiculously...Karasai said, October 01, 2012, 05:39:24 amno offense but it doesnt really look like a walk cycle. You may want to use Ryu's for example, because it looks somewhat similarOh. I used Ryu's walk as a reference, actually. I don't want to trace because I want to hone my animation skills.Any other more specific advice?
LunchPolice aka Quack said, October 01, 2012, 06:34:50 amHey guys I made an edit to make his torso thrust less ridiculously...Hmmm... now I think the left shoulder (in your right) "jumps" a bit too much, maybe that's only me. Keep it up!
I agree with G.o.D. there, the artists left shoulder looks like it's made of Jell-o. Granted we don't know what the "beasts" arm structure is, but I doubt it's something that would "flow" that much
TBH, it looks more like a "scooch" cycle as he's not technically walking. Have him lift his feet higher from the ground.
The legs (pants) suggest a lightsource from straight above, but the torso tells the lightsource is in front of him. (I think?)
Sure has been a while! Here's Chrom from Fire Emblem: Awakening. His design is waaaay too intricate for low-res sprites, haha. Probably would have been easier if I increased the colour count though. I can see why there are so few Fire Emblem characters for MUGEN. I wanna play as him so bad!
