Hello, MUGEN Guild! Jango here with a very exciting announcement. While it has been a secret for more than a year now, I'm finally able to come out with it: I have officially joined Team Z2!

I joined Team Z2 because after looking at HDBZ's current line-up, I was thoroughly disappointed with the variety of characters. Don't get me wrong, some of the finest animators are on the team, as well as some very talented coders. However, I think there's a bigger problem at hand here: Lack of diversity. I mean seriously, every character here throws fireballs, teleports around... gets pretty boring after a while. And when I joined, I was SHOCKED to see what characters were going to be in the Champ's Build. If you are curious as to who they were, I'll give you a hint: another Goku and Vegeta

These two, actually. Vegeta was going to have mustache palettes too.

I told them that if we were ever to get taken seriously as a fighting game, we'd have to throw it all out and make something new, something that would be different from the main cast, and would broaden our appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers alike. The challenge was successfully carried out with Farmer Z2!

"You're on my property!" - Farmer (2017)

Let me just tell you how happy I am that we met so many criteria in one character. By having a weapon-user in the game, we are able to introduce an exciting new playstyle that isn't possible in the current metagame amidst all the hand-to-hand fighters. We're also finally getting more human representation in the cast, after being dominated by aliens over the last few years. And last but not least, Farmer represents the struggle of the working class, a champion of the everyday man who is tired of being subjugated by the elitist martial artist ruling class. And he will not rest until he drives all those darn aliens out of his world.

So in summary, I want to thank the Z2 team for being able to make this exciting new addition so quickly, and I hope you're ready for all the new surprises I and the rest of the All-New All-Different Team Z2 have in store for you!

Great addition to the roster. some feedback:
-One, Farmer needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine.
-Two, whenever Farmer's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Farmer"?

Tractor beam  cuts off midway on zoom stages and plough through takes way too much health. You may wanna look into that. I'll post screens soon.

He may look appeasing, but not enough to burn an entire character slot for something far more worthwhile. It's still tragic that all the time that could've been spent making Perfect Cell Z2 a reality was being squandered on drawing a mustache on Vegeta.

- These are valid points. One of the first big changes that we on Team Z2 have discussed is to involve the community much more publicly, and this means getting more community feedback earlier in the creative process. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and the team will be taking these into consideration!

- I'll have you know that JNP is currently in the process of adding "... But where's Farmer?" at the end of every winquote for every character that will be included in the Champ Build. Of course, as every character has almost 100 winquotes in the upcoming Champ's Build, this could be quite a lengthy endeavor, but I'm sure JNP has the diligence to pull it off in time for the April 7th deadline.

- We do not support MUGEN 1.1 and stage zoom, although its growing popularity will be discussed in the release after the Champ Build, Black (Star) Ball Beyond Build.
- Plow Through is still a WIP move (you can tell by all the interference sounds caused by me standing next to an actual plow holding up my phone to record the audio), but we will get to work straightening up those issues as soon as possible.

Because we at the Guild want a Farmer with attitude, that's edgy and "in your face". You've heard the expression "Let's get busy?" This is a Farmer that gets bizzay! Consistently and thoroughly.

I had a discussion with the Z2 members and we feel that Farmer Z2 will not receive any edginess updates at this time. We at Team Z2 strive to be as inclusive as possible, and making him extra edgy may make individuals with a fear of manual labor have a negative response.

But fear not! Farmer Z2 definitely as enough "'tude" for everyone in the family! As an example that your teenagers will love, try getting a perfect with him. They will be powerless to "get down to the beat" of Farmer's "sick lyrics." I guarantee you they'll be rapping along to "Farmer's Paradise" and asking "Where muh scarecrow at" into the wee hours of the morning.

We at Team Z2 insist on using canonical names. While Farmer With a Shotgun is a fun name and in no way related to a disgusting exploitation film's title, Akira Toriyama has only ever officially referred to him as "Farmer." Plus his name needs to fit the screen!
