mugen shutting down

Hi i have a problem and dont have much to go on. when i start mugen beging to play the screen will turn black i can steel here the game running. and it will then shut down about 1 to 2 mintues after that. its very randon when it happens it could be at the first fighter are the 8 fighter. and it does  it no matter what fighter i am also i tried all types of combations and it all ways shuts down adn the error message i get is. win mugen has a application error. instruction at 0x00417e71 reference memory at 0x60f6000 could not be read.
so i have no idea what this means any help would be wonderful that is if anybody can help me.

I offer no garuntees, but try decreasing the memory usage.

Try this setup.  It's good for computers with little memory.
don't forget to shut everything else down when mugen is running... especially programs that make noise, like IM programs.

BufferedRead = 0
UnloadSystem = 1
PauseOnDefocus = 0
