Deep in a secluded forest, inside long forgotten dojo, Ryu and Ken square off. Along with a few other familiar faces, they train with each other to sharpen their skills and to remind each other that they still got it. As Gouken look's on, Sean pummels poor Dan on a consitant basis. Sakura's trained till she can't stand, and Ibuki, although not a full-on Shotokan practitioner, trains here as well out of respect for the "assassination" aspect of the "freestyle shotokan."

What's up guy's. I've had this stage in the back of my mind since I started sharing my creations. I've done animations, but this is my first attempt at "choreography." I also chose to use bits and pieces of dojo images, and my own orignal sprites, rather than using sprites from already existing games(as I normally would). I would like to thank GM Sniper, FIDO, POTS and Alexlexus for thier respective character sprites. It's got the usuall specs: Original concept, Hot soundtrack, animations and superjump. The soundtrack I made by mixing Ryu SFIV theme(RyuVsGouken) and an overclock remix of Ken's theme(by AE and Prozax). Hopefully, I'll learn more about Virtual DJ as well...  8)

All feedback is welcome. Whether it's on the stage, the music or tips on other software I can incorperate into my creations. With that said, enjoy the stage!

this stage suffers so much color loss... the gouken/sean-beating-up-dan sprites looks too pixelated also (as for the other ones like sakura and ibuki looks fine.) 

Have you ever considered the jigsaw/RGB method?

I was acutally considering the jigsaw method. I guess I wanted a second opinion before I went back into it. That is definetly a good idea. Will do.

Ibuki's not a shoto, but she she is an assassin. Shoto's style is centered around "assassination techiques." I addressed your point in the release post, actually. Just me using my imagination.

Isnt Ibuki Guy's student or something? If Im wrong some fan comics must have messed my memory.

Good idea is cutting out columns, puting them with layer = 1 (so they cover characters) and lower the stage sprites, so chars with in it.

You might be thinking of Maki from FF2/CVS. You can find Ibuki's bio here, http://www.fightersgeneration.com/main.htm

I had considered that as well. But since the pillars are close to the middle in the background sprites, I put them were they are. And I want he fight to take place in the hall. However, i was considering releasing an alternate version Gouken watching but with the characters fighting where Sean/Dan where. And move the sprites down, and have Gouken sprites at normal size.

I just resize them in Gimp/Photoshop. It sucks, I know. I knew it didn't look all that good, and figured someone would see it and want to give me a hand. I should have just asked in the first place. I could really use some solid advice on this... --;

What up, homie?! I don't currently have a Winmugen version, but the thought had crossed my mind. When I began making the stage in FF3, I didn't realize FF3 only made 1.0 stages. Or maybe I'm missing something. Somebody clue me in... :???:

nah 1.0 sucks. winmugen is better.

Each have their benefits. 1.0 looks awesome, but Winmugen Plus does't lag no matter how old or slow your computer is. 1.0 is pretty versatile, but Winmugen has some versatlity as well. I'm still undecided on whether my next screenpack will be Winmugen Plus or 1.0.

Anyone care to give their point of view, feel free to do so as long as you leave feedback on my stage as well. 8)

Sorry bout that man. Guess I can't please all the people, all the time. But...honeslty I think I'm leaning towards making my next screenpack for Winmugen Plus. It's got a "gritty" theme, so Plus might help make it "Gangsta Approved." Ya feel me? 8)
