Updates!

Select screen
- change small portrait to 30x30 to give more space and slots
- changed the cell cursors, the old ones were a bitch to resize
- rearranged everything, the big portraits now appear on the left (ala KOF2K2)
- picture names removed, now uses regular fonts :(
- background still not final, just had to put something in there to temporarily fill the void



Versus Screen
- unsure if final, still needs a couple of tweakings



Lifebars
- added names
- small portraits now don't overlap(or is that underlap?) the lifebars
- still need to work on the combo counter and powerbar fonts...and round anim, KO anim and win icons, blargh!

Looking good, but why did you fit in Eiji with the Kyokugenryu team? He's with the anti-kyokugenryu.

IMO lifebars should overlap the big portraits some.
I think it looked better that way. It looks so squeezed up now.

Art of Fighting team! I had to put him somewhere. Yuri goes to the Women's team while Blue Mary goes back to her old team. Also, Malin will go with the Bishoujo Team. But enough about that, it's just my ideas. Put them wherever you want. :P

I think it looked better that way. It looks so squeezed up now.
I guess so. 3-4 pixels should be enough.

Back to the subject at hand: Is the character selection going to be up to us, or will it be already decided who is going to be in what slot?

It's up to you of course, why wouldn't it? ??? But I will provide fight and big portraits for all the KOF characters I can think of and some others(for the lazy people:P).

Making the portraits are easy. The big portraits are still 120x140 so you don't even need to change them. For the small portraits, it's up to you. If you want to follow how I made them it's as easy as extracting a character's sprite and getting a 30x30 pic out of it. Same for the fight portrait, just get an 80x80 pic.

I like the new look of the select screen, but I am really not a fan 2k1's lifebars, they are a bit too boxy for my tastes nor do they have the old school charm of older KOF lifebars.

Change again. Now I'm working on everybody's big and fight portraits. That includes every single version of Athena (ugh....).
