this is not really news or shocking, but the emmy 2013 ballots are up. the acting ones aren't very surprising since they list basically everybody, but the writing ones are interesting because there's only one arrested development episode listed, 3 community episodes, 5 family guy episodes (seriously), one louie episode, 7 modern family episodes (really) and 5 it's always sunny episodes.

Remember that episode of Futurama with Fry's dog, and how sad it made you? And they they brought Seymour back, with diminishing returns in a series of events we'd really all would rather forget because it kinda ruined the first episode? Anyways Seth MacFarlane is gonna be voicing Seymour in an upcoming episode.

Yes. Really. Voicing him. Because he can talk now? And will be voiced by Seth MacFarlane??? :|

The fact that it's in a dream doesn't really change anything to me. It's still really weird and frustrating and I dunno I'm sure it'll be funny because it's Futurama and Seth MacFarlane is a pretty good voice actor but I'd rather they stop bringing Seymour back.

They're not as good as the earlier ones, but they're still funny, and there's been definite classics. This last season has felt like they got their groove back.

The movies I would definitely call mediocre, though.

A bunch of the older seasons were fun, though sometimes it felt like you were expecting something to be fun and it was just a random parody of something you didn't care about. It does have some of the greatest episodes of a comedy show I know, but currently, it feels like it's a lot of those parodies or simple mockery of something, so IMO it's getting a little tired (last week's Fast and Furious parody is an example of something I didn't give a shit about, for one, so it didn't feel too funny to me).

Also, big news. Legendary Studios is severing its ties from Warner Bros. They did all three Nolan Batman movies and MoS. So... this is a pretty big deal. I think this means Nolan probably won't be involved with the sequel? Maybe?

I know this is from the DC thread, but I wonder how this would effect something like say, Godzilla.

I've never seen any of the Fast and Furious movies, but I thought it was pretty decently funny (mostly the girl going on and on about the unspoken verbal abuse she suffered). I would've said the episode was a kinda stinker but then BAM suddenly Flatland parody and it really redeemed the episode, IMO.
