Title: MUGEN or Shugendo?
Post by: JMW83 on November 30, 2011, 01:45:09 am
I was wondering which is the better engine to develop a game for now, MUGEN or Shugendo?
Does it simply depend on what kind of game you want to make? What advantages and drawbacks are there for each? If I start making a game for MUGEN, and later on I decide I'd rather use Shugendo, or vice versa, how much of a hassle would it be to change it over? Which, in your opinion, is the better engine right now?

^That's one way to treat someone interested in Mugen.

I'd recommend you go with Mugen over ShugenDo.
Other than it being a "replacement" for Mugen, I hardly here anything about ShugenDo however Mugen is very powerful and will soon be upgraded to Mugen 1.1.
Now that electbyte is back, the Mugen engine has been getting updates ever since its return.
Mugen would definitley be your best bet and best interest.
Btw, here are some interesting links to help you get started creating for Mugen (If youre interested of course):
