Hey everyone, long time no see, Nestor here :)
I started to check back the MUGEN forums often since this year; I haven't posted because I don't have anything worth posting related to my WIP's. What happened with those projects?

Since almost six years ago, I started taking care of the bills at home; right now, I'm working full time, along with my sister, each one on their respective job; I have landed in some places where the work isn't as great as they tell you at the beginning, and it keeps going worse everyday, up to the point where I'm almost 14 hours out of home. This year, I finally decided that I wanted to work as a freelance developer by next year, and hopefully, in a few years and with a few friends here in Mexico, we may get a company started: I just want to be able to pay the bills and have more time with my family and myself, either writing in my main site or working on my other hobbies, MUGEN included.

At the start of 2018, I was talking with li_kun (my teacher, and more importantly, one great friend I met thanks MUGEN) about working step through step in the first WIP, Capcom FAS. I really want to do this, so we may get one or two characters released by the end of the year. It may take some time to get everything completed as we envisioned at first, but it's a cool hobby and I want to keep working on it.

With MvC UDB, I got more progress on my side, so we may get something else done by this year's end. I want to work on these hobbies, but with my current schedule, it's getting harder to do so. I decided that the first step towards the goal is to share my plan, and hopefully a little bit of pressure will be great :D this one may be on hold for a bit, but I want to finish some of the characters that already had a good progress done (plus some of them will be for CFAS).

Anything new, I'll let you know. It's a long road, but still, I like MUGEN a lot and I want to keep working on a few things here and there.

Screenpack-wise, we may go back to one of the classic designs for CFAS (here's an old one); I may post some images from time to time, just to show some the progress being done. Old roster, but IIRC, the Screenpack was almost done and I think this will work great for the project.

I know I may be slow, but still, I want to see this project continue its progress step by step. I'll keep the conversation in MUGEN discussion until I have something more appropiate after all this time :).

I remember following the CFAS project some time ago and wondering what happened to it. Glad to see it's still being worked on.

I used to have some of the chars that were made for this project, Shadow Man being my favorite out of the ones I tried. The screenpack looks fine by me.

Man, it has been ages ago since the last time I heard from you. Good to know you are alive and well despite the rather complicated situation. The attitude is there so keep it up, hoping for your success.

And glad to see the project havent been abandoned :D

Good to see you here. Hopefully you can get your RL sorted our. I wish I had something more productive to say, but I'll leave it at good luck with everything.

It's good to hear you're still going for this. I'm still available for any testing/help you guys need. Along with commissioning sprite sets for the project. I had already talked with Li_Kun about commissioning a char that I believe you were hoping to add to the CFAS project. Whenever you guys have some free time, let's go over some ideas and all. We could end up benefiting one another greatly.

Welcome back Nestor. It's been a while since i saw the last new progress. I'm getting too old, but very glad to see this progress a little growing like a plant. Ever since you released Fiona and Chris, there hasn't been much Capcom released (Aside from Gladiacloud, which is always awesome to see).
Fiona was going to be in a MVC-ish char, but it got crashed and lost.

Batsu is already being made in a MVC2, CVSTW and Infinite style.

That is how i know and the rest were never being made or still in progress.

Huh? I mean, if you guys need her, I still got her from when you(Nestor) released her. I even planned to CS her.

Batsu is already being made in a MVC2, CVSTW and Infinite style.

That Batsu has really choppy anims though. You can tell that everyone involved never got around to finishing/refining him. That could be a goal you all strive for with his implementation into CFAS.

Well, IDK who's all there/planned for the roster. Though I had brought up the idea of commissioning Li_Kun to make Regina from Dino Crisis. I was also thinking maybe I would get MvC2 Jill re-sprited to CvS, possibly with her BSAA attire from RE5. Are you in collabs with Beximus? Is that Devilotte apart of this?

Are you in collabs with Beximus? Is that Devilotte apart of this?

She's only exclusive for Capcom Universe and is still private until the game is done.

@GTAguy: thanks pal, I've played with Gladiacloud's chars and they're pretty cool :) some of his characters may appear, IIRC I asked for his permission and he was pretty cool about it. For the first full release (around 15 chars, let's go step by step), I'd like to see some of his chars and Frank West (balm and Kamekaze did a pretty good job with those sprites).

@DivineWolf: she already have a CS in progress, IIRC Jeff worked on it a long time ago :) I'll send you those sprites, actually I'd be pretty great if we could get some help to CS the rest of the character. You're right about Batsu, I'll add some anims directly from TvC (jump, taunt, guts upper, aerial guts bullet...) and li_kun is helping me with the QA of the sprites. I'll strive to get the chars in their best shape possible and improve a bit with each iteration.

Regina would be GREAT! I really want to see her in MUGEN, she'd be a great addition :D I was thinking about Jill too, I think we can get her moveset adapted and see what can we do from there (Ilu already got us a pretty cool version of her to work). Devilotte may be a part of the game at some point, but right now I think we have a lot in the plate and the best would be to work with the characters that are almost finished/need work (like Leon, Nina and Dante).

@Akito: thank you buddy, let's see how everything turns out this time!

@Walruslui: I think I have the sprite, but I'd really appreciate if you could post it again man, thanks :D

I'm willing to get the ball rolling on Regina with Li_Kun. We can go over his price of commission. Depending on how much, I'll pay anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2. Same with Jill, if getting her in said outfit isn't too much trouble. If it'd require too much effort, the RE1 outfit is fine. Of course I'd be making my own versions, but you're free to use any/all resources from me for adaptation into CFAS. I'll of course even help with porting them to it.

Also, sure, I'd be willing to help with Fiona's CS. I'm currently CS'ing Morrigan and Lilith:

And I could use help with them. We could help one another out and you're free to use my Morrigan's SFF for updating in CFAS. Don't know if you wanna add Lilith, but that could be an option as well. I agree with sticking to the initial roster and possibly expanding later. Was just curious about if you were working with Beximus or not. I thought about CS'ing Hinata some months back. I see she's in the roster. I'd assist with her as well. I'd assume you're gonna add Tiffany? Not sure if she's CS'd or not.

tiffany is slightly cs'ed, atleast to a degree its possible to make some cool palettes with her but she's nowhere near the level of cs that most people look for nowadays

@DivineWolf: sounds interesting, and thanks for the CS's for Morrigan and Lilith :) how could I help with that? I may take some time to help with Morrigan, and as we progress with the other chars.

@Walruslui: thanks man :D!!! I'll let you know about the sprites, thank you so much! BTW, do you know where could I find this version of Tiffany with the CS?

@ShinZankuro: thanks pal! It's been some time since then, I've got some progress with the anims but I hope to finish them soon and get Batsu done.

there isn't a completely separate tiffany, the one im describing is the default one. there is slight cs on that one but not extensive

I only need help with some of the finer details and how to handle certain aspects. Like when they change outfits, their "aura", and certain frames/sprites that are harder(for me personally) to distinguish for separation. I've already gotten Lilith to the point where she just needs these things addressed. As for Morrigan, I'm about 50% in. I can send you Lilith, along with the breakdown of what's needed, whenever you're ready. I'll let you know once I get Morrigan to this point as well. Just let me know.

@DivineWolf: got it, you can send them now and I'll see what can I do about those sprites. I'm planning to continue with some of Batsu sprites meanwhile, to get a little bit of practice.

Seems like some of Batsu's new anims were almost ready after all, there're some work left but here's a bit of the progress done to keep the post active :)

They still need to be polished, but first I want to finish the hard work and then go into the details.
