I love when large populations of people are judged because of a select few idiots and some shitty blog/facebook/twitter posts. It's like morons who use the internet to express their shitty opinions suddenly start to matter when their nonsense can be used it as a stamp to exaggerate the reality of some problem. Youtube taught me nearly every single person on the internet is a racist/sexist/homophobic/fundamentalist/nationalistic/hate filled asshole who can't spell half the words in a given centence and allso don't know how 2 use periods and grammerStereotyping hurray! While were on the subject, I'm actually defaulted by some websites and bloggers on the net as sexist just for being a male employed in the tech industry who isn't actively engaging in women's rights. I am part of the problem, because I do not fight to stop some form of oppression that does not happen in my workplace. A technical workplace where respect is shown to all women regardless of height, weight, race, sexual orientation, hair color, and breast size?! Clearly I'm not looking for the problem hard enough! I understand there are sexist people and sexist workplaces, but I get fucking tired of the branding. Just like any other categorization of people would.It just take one or two outspoken assclowns to ruin an individuals perceptions of themselves and reality.

I'm glad I didn't say anything like that. :|But I do think the existence of this vocal minority is a problem, but the response that people like Harris get is a sign that things are getting better, I think. Ever so slowly, we inch towards progress. If I had Transmetropolitan in front of me I'd quote that one speech Spider Jerusalem gives about how things always get better. I always liked that.
