Interesting work, ink! All those concepts for Mega Man are really cool. :2thumbsup:

I like it, but it do have some observations, specifically for the frame shown again below in the edited sprite:

1. The shading in the torso makes him look too muscular. I've looked at other sprites and the line work gives the impression of more of a child torso than a muscular torso. Features are barely defined and when they are, they use the lightest shade.

2. His wrists seem a bit thin. Could probably use an extra pixel or two in thickness. The shading in his left wrist (not viewers) also jumps quite a bit from that frame to the final frame, despite the movement not being too extreme.

That's my two cents. The rest looks great.

Does this look right to you guys? It's different shading this side of a character stance.

Something different in CPS3 style. Still need to add some details and clean up.

Thanks guys! Here's a small update on her. I was really struggling with her hair for a second but now I'm looking forward to finishing this one up.

-edit-

More changes, because I'm a crazy person... probably going to move her head back 3 or 4 pixels too.

If I may make a suggestion, have her wrists/hands do more of a circular motion... almost like a "come over here", but not quite. Also, keep her back a bit straigher (maybe move her head back a bit). Right now it sort looks a teeeeeeeeeeensy bit like she's hunching forward any time her but goes back, when she's supposed to have this whole regal poise-ish standing thing going on.

Thanks for the suggestions Graphicus. Some fresh eyes is good on this one.

I’ve already moved her head back earlier today, it does look way better. I’ll try the hands out to see how it look, it sounds like it would look pretty cool.

I’m not so sure about straightening her back. That’s actually what I did in the second animation in my last post. It looks like a lots going on there but I think it looks pretty nice with the correct aspect ratio applied.

Yeah, the second animation works great. I didn't pay enough attention to the differences and I guessed I looked at the first animation by accident.

There's a lot of layers to this chick! I ended up not really liking the hand motions talked about in the previous post.

Let me know what you guys think about these wings though. They are drawn closer to her artwork but different than her original sprites. also thought about adding movement to the small wings on her head but probably not as much as the sample below.

I don't know if it's me but I think her hair moves a lot i think it should move a little since it looks like wind it hitting it too hard to the ending frames of the animation (my opinion)
