Hey guys this is my mega TMNT characters update. Shredder and Krang aren't at 100% yet but I've been having pc issues that may make it quite some time before I'm able to properly complete them so I may as well show what I've got.
All of these characters are only for Mugen 1.0, there may be bugs or errors still as well. Please let me know.

-It may be a while before I'm able to address any of the bugs/issues with the characters or even to respond to this post since my pc is on the fritz. Just wanted to thank everyone for their patience with regards to these characters I know it hasn't been an easy wait for some, thanks for your time.

Congratulations Dcat, on finally releasing all of your awesome characters :)
I'll be sure to test them and report all issues I find, but I'm sure most of the stuff was fixed since the last beta.
Anyway, thank you for your hard work and dedication, I wish your PC a soon recovery :D
I will sure be waiting with anticipation for 100% completion of Shredder and Krang, I really hope this day will come in the nearby future :)

And... here... we... GO!!

It was an absolute pleasure having these characters for testing purposes for all of that time. Seeing them as an official release is simply fantastic. Everyone on Guild is in for a real treat here, no doubt about it.

Dcat, your characters have plenty of charm and character. I love your stuff. I have already reserved a vote for 2013's characters of the year. Yup, Shredder and Krang are that awesome.

Quick Shredder feedback :

- DIVE KICK can also be performed with HP+HK. Not said in the readme.
- You forgot to add Air Super FOOT STORM in the command list.
- I guess Air Super FOOT STORM is just a beta for now, as it seems highly unpolished compared to the other moves ?
   + P2 afterimage disappear too late.
   + When P2 goes up in the air on a black BG, would be nice to actually have speed lines.
   + P2 is in the middle of the screen, then he starts getting hit by the ninjas. Between the moment he's static and the moment he gets hit, you can clearly see some misalignment on P2.
   + The hit animation you're using for P2 is not great. On POTS' Ryu it looks like he's getting a ground hit, on Goku Z2 like he's getting a crouch hit. You should be using air gethit animation.
   + At the end of the move, P2 flies down too slowly IMO. Personal taste though.

When Shredder is beaten it tends to linger sometimes. Like something is supposed to happen but it doesn't.

This doesn't happen when he's beaten in his super form.

That shredder had me trippin. you put a lot of passion into creating like the rest of the creations. Theres no doubt you are a serious TMNT fan. all the sounds. custom sprites and ideas for the moves. i laughed my ass off with the super shredder transformation lol That shit was too cool!

And yeh only flaw was that long win state delay that ive seen...obvious thing to be fixed later but who cares. so far its a great start on the awesome releases man!

Here's some stuff for Shredder.
-He can walk through an opponent that's been affected by Retromutagen Ray.
-I dunno if this is intentional, but I think his chains should be limited to a zig-zag weak<medium<strong format. Chaining from strong to weak just feels odd.
-P2 probably shouldn't be able to recover from Medium Wave and Anti-Air Wave.
-Why do some of his attacks have multiple inputs?
-Toe Smash Kick can't be used by itself up close.
-Moves that can only be used once a combo can only be used once during Retromutagen Ray.
-Jump canceling from Aura Crusher sends Shredder just a bit too high.
-Aura Crusher seems to go a bit too far. Full-screen is a bit much for something that costs no meter.
-His Air Super isn't mentioned in the readme.
-His Air Super seems like it's too hard to connect with since he slices upwards. A downwards slice might work better or something.
-Is P2 air recovering after air Foot Clan Summon intentional?
-Why can't he use Shuriken in the air? He uses it during a Dive Kick variant, so it'd make sense for him to do that.
That's about it for now. Needs a bit of work, but he's a keeper otherwise.
Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?

Everything about the release is amazing. I'm enjoying it thoroughly. Can NOT wait until the roommate gets home tonight and we hook it up to the flat screen and partake in stuff.

Great releases, very tight combo-ability.

Krang's flying in intro where he flies in the background and lands, the animation for him swooping in from the side is very off, you see him float down in the far bottom corner, and suddenly he appears out of nowhere.

A bit of a problem concerning Super Shredder mode: When doing anti-air freeze ray, if he misses, the opponent can rape him with endless combos and because of that, he's locked in place, unable to move.

Aura Crusher is a very telegraphed dashing attack. That you can be hit out of. Fullscreen doesn't make it any better or worse, honestly. Kinda like Dudley's Machine gun blow, in that aspect. Except for the end of course.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

might be cuz of the aforementioned computer problems he's having and it might be a slight bit rushed out as a result, but yeah i'm getting that feeling too

The problem is that we don't had much info about Krang for a very long time, but on the other hand we had many infos about Shredder, and many of us have suggestet some stuff for shredder, like moves and intros and now are realy excited and want to see how Dcat used our suggestions, and his Shredder is afaik the first TRUE Shredder for Mugen, no psycho or Cyber or what ever, contrary to Krang.

But I belive Krang will get the attention he deserves soon, because Dcat put realy hard work in both of his chars. =)

Anybody know a temporary fix for the delayed losing state? It kind of kills the mood when you are playing round robin with roommates.

By the way that delayed losing state is not happening if Shredder is fighting against Dcat's turtles and the intro before battle is April abduction or Splinter abduction.
Although if the intro is different from those two (or the opponent is not a turtle by Dcat) that delay before enemy's winpose is happening.

Also about air super - I can agree with Cybaster here, aside from all other supers it looks a bit unpolished. But the thing that seemed unpolished in this super was how the opponent looks during it (for example the turtle will use the idle lying down pose, rotated vertically, so maybe some animation, like shaking must be added, so it will look more like the opponent is flying up from shredder's hit). So yeah, there are still some unfinished stuff here and there, but lots of awesome stuff was added since the last beta, and that's cool.
Can't wait till Dcat will polish and perfect the shredder, so he is flawless, like his turtles :)

I don't think that has anything to do with computer problems. Krang has been mostly finished for months, maybe a year even. Then Dcat started on Shredder and kept on adding stuff again and again. There's definitely more love in Shredder than Krang, but it doesn't have anything to do with PC problems.

People, dont post gifs in release threads that arent related to the actual character. specially macros and things like dance gifs, not everyone is using fast internet connections and it kills the velocity at which the pages load. Same reason why you are not supposed to have heavy gifs in sigs.

Great release Dcat, I will repeat my feedback from before, whenever you accidentaly do qcf kick ( for which shredder has no move ) the kick doesnt come out.

Heh, when I saw Shredder do his pause after being defeated, I ended up thinking DCat put in one of my many suggestions from way back.  Which would have Shredder, occasionally try to cheat and win the match by pulling out a hidden ray gun (kinda like "White" from Fatal Fury does) but nothing happened.  Again, great job with both of them DCat!  Now, where is that stage someone was supposed to release with the release of these guys.  :P

Aside from what was told about Shredder, you guys remember you can change his config file and enable him to always fight as Super Shredder.
I used this to test him more thoroughly. Alas he still has old issues like, if you manage to hit him while he is using one of his attacks - he may freeze in that attacking pose for some time and you can beat him as you want during that time.
That happens in many different situations, and when I was using Dcat's leonardo I was even able to chain any normals in one endless combo. As Strider Hiryu I was able to hit him with oroboros shot when he was using the thunder attack, and he stuck in that thunder pose.

Here, in this video I showed most of that stuff in lots of situations, I'm using Strider by Syn and Leo by Dcat. Hope there is a way to fix it in the future.

Well he is still stuck even when I'm not attacking (for a short time, but still) like at 0:45-0:46
Anyway, I talked about it with Dcat during beta test and he told that it will be fixed in some way. The idea was, if I remember correctly, that Shredder will use his thunder attack automatically during the opponent's combo, if many opponent's hits connect while Shredder is stuck. But this is not happening in most of the situations. Athough it is happening sometimes.

P.S. on the second thought, this may be intentional, because otherwise it would be impossible to defeat him with a turtle, for example. He spams a lot of supers and projectiles, so the only way you can beat him up a little bit is like this. I wonder if it was intentional.

For some reason I can't open the config file. Don't know that format since it isn't a .txt.

P.S. on the second thought, this may be intentional, because otherwise it would be impossible to defeat him with a turtle, for example. He spams a lot of supers and projectiles, so the only way you can beat him up a little bit is like this. I wonder if it was intentional.

i doubt it, seeing as how any character with a quick jab(which is pretty much every character in mugen ever)can lock him down forever, and its pretty easy to keep him in hitstun as a turtle too, with raphael and donatello you can just spam light kick forever. not sure about Leonardo and Michelangelo since i haven't tested them against him.

For some reason I can't open the config file. Don't know that format since it isn't a .txt.

open it, click on "select a program from a list of installed programs" then choose notepad.

Pointed this out in the Seikimatu Guile thread but felt it should be brought up here as well:

There's also a bit of a bug when Guile uses the super that zooms into him on Krang (might just be an issue with Krang's liedead state, but it doesn't seem to happen with other characters with the same feature, like GM's Ryu):


There seems to be a few times the liedead state is buggy. Maybe a way to toggle the special lose pose on or off would be good?

Leo vs Raph intro (TMNT Movie ver) - there's no auto pause in bgm during their intro to hear their speech so it's only barely noticeable when hearing it in a stage w/ bgm, I only mention this because other various intros have it already

People, dont post gifs in release threads that arent related to the actual character. specially macros and things like dance gifs, not everyone is using fast internet connections and it kills the velocity at which the pages load. Same reason why you are not supposed to have heavy gifs in sigs.

Great release Dcat, I will repeat my feedback from before, whenever you accidentaly do qcf kick ( for which shredder has no move ) the kick doesnt come out.

Did you try with FF3 instead of old FF Classic or Ultimate ? May have to do with the use of 1.0 only triggers.

Krang LV 3- the fireburst seems unblockable high or low.  Even if it somehow misses, you still need to deal with the rush, which is unblockable and very quick.

I can't explain it, but the comboing for Krang bugs me.  It's very quick, but oddly stiff.

Krang's Pushblock seems off compared to Shredder's, in that it's possible you won't be moved by Krang's-leading to finding out you can't hit him during it AT ALL.

I'd swear Shredder's Teleport wants some kind of disadvantage.

It's interesting when you know/realise where a sound or graphic came from.  Leads to odd imagery.  I keep expecting Shredder to do Fatal Claw or Berserker Barrage X, and Krang's thrusters are equal parts Starktech and Aenslead Industries, as a 'for instance'.

'Shredder Transform at Final Round' can lead to 'if you don't drop a round, you won't see it'.  Is this as you wish?

i notice how the AI for Leo and mike are not as formidable or aggressive as Don and Raph..........not sure it that was intentional or not

and now confirming my last post concerning super shredder being performed with kicks instead of just what's on the readme, it can be done

Interesting that all the characters have a Dive Kick

Leo
- Combo-ing into 'Final Slash' doesn't have damage damper but instead adds extra damage.
   - From what it looks like, if you combo into 'Final Slash' before the opponent is able to recover, it does even more damage (LP, MP, HP, FS = 910 damage)

Raph
- Making 'Crimson Rain' unblockable is a bit much, especially since it can be combo-ed into and it's invulnerable

Don
- 'Heel Drop' in unblockable at close range

Mike
- 'Command Throws' can also be done with QCB, F, punch
- Doing QCF punch I know is not a move but Mike doesn't even do a basic attack, he does nothing
- INSTANT KANGAROO KICK has some weird properties.  Sometimes the move comes out prematurely (ex. doing MP, HP, HK, HK will have the move come out on the first kick instead of the second)

Shredder
- 'Foot Clan Summon' doesn't look to come out in the air unless it's during a combo
   - 'Foot Clan Summon' during combos seems to restrict which types come out (ex. calling them during HP will only get the spear or 3-staff version
- First hit of 'Dive Kick' and 'Energy Wave/Claw' doesn't give super meter

Krang
- 'ROCKET MISSILE', 'ARTILLERY', and 'DIVE KICK' doesn't give super meter

I can't explain it, but the comboing for Krang bugs me.  It's very quick, but oddly stiff.

Shredder feels the same way as well

In simultaneous mode, when Krang did his special, where he expands his size and shots the eye beams...I noticed the turtle that got hit by the move (Michelangelo) disappeared off the screen during the remaining time left for the round.

Raph
- His infinite that was reported awhile back on Mugen-Infantry is still there (LP, MP, HP, HP Thousand Stab, MP, MK, HP, -repeat-)
- Don't know why but doing 'RAMPAGING TURTLE' after HP, HP, from an air juggle increases the damage from the super.
    --ex. LP, MP, HP, HP, air LP, air MK, RAMPAGING TURTLE = 295 (now add another HP launch) LP, MP, HP, HP, HP, HP, air LP, air MK, RAMPAGING TURTLE = 528.
     - Note:  If the 2nd HP launch is too low, then there will be damage damper.

- His lvl. 3 does the most damage of the 4 (Leo = 501, Raph = 590, Don = 516, Mike = 477).  It should be lowered

Shredder
- 'Air Super FOOT STORM' Is a lvl. 1 super, but if you have 2 or more bars, it will use 2 instead of 1

All Turtles
-Canceling a super into another super costs an extra bar which means you need 3 bars.  But, if you only have 2, you can still cancel a super into another with no problem.

Like I pointed out with Leo and timed combos into his lvl. 3 to increase the damage, the other 3 have the same problem
   - With Mike, if you time, for example, LP, MP, HP, (before opponent recovers) GRAPPLE HOOK HURRICANE = 734 damage.  If you do the move just after the opponent recovers, GRAPPLE HOOK HURRICANE does 689 damage
   - With Don if you do PARTY WAGON just after a opponent is able to recover from a combo, the damage is 608
   - Raph is the worst.  Jump LP, Jump MP, Jump HP, LP, MP, HP, HP, LP, MP, HP, HP, Crimson Rain = 1073 damage (This is conjunction with the 2nd set of HP launcher doing extra damage, like RAMPAGING TURTLE.  Oddly enough, Power Drill is the only super not affected by this).

- I can't roll while running.  Intentional?

- With the exception of Mike, DF+HK/DB+HK in the air doesn't do anything.

Shredder-For me his MK kick while he is sprinting freezes the opponent once they hit the wall you might want to fix that.  I have test it in multiple versions of mugen and had the same result.   I could even record a video if you wanted some proof.

not sure if this is a problem with Krang or StormEX--Ichigo but when your playing with both after a certain move is done they both freeze most of the time its krang that gets unfreeze but then mugen crashes also

Ok, I love Shredder.. Great moves only one issue, his power bar only fills up when a physical attack or just a punch is thrown (and very slowly I might add). Need to build his supers a little quicker (unless someone knows of code to add to increase his super buildup)..

Krang is kick ass too.

Good for releasing Shredder finally but any way to make him work?  Because of the settings I use for Mugen and the Common.cns coding some characters give an error of unidentified command 'Blok', I solve this usually by having a copy of the Common.cns that is without 'Blok' and when I assign this cns to use instead in the def file of such chars, they work. For shredder using this customized cns that fixes other chars with the issue 'Blok' still doesn't work - Hah, so I use 1 common CNS for MK chars, another CNS without 'Blok' for non-MK chars that give that error with 'Blok' and now I will use the default Common1.cns that comes with Mugen as a third common cns file for chars that crash with both the MK Common1.cns and the no blok Common1.cns. Fixed it and now trying this Shredder.

I gave Shredder infinite supers as a test, when I faced him he immediately transformed into super shredder and kicked my ass..

If Shredder is set to turn into Super Shredder via the config file, under certain conditions a glitch occurs:
- Your config file must be setup like the one in the spoiler below.
Spoiler: Config File (click to see content)

 - If you skip Shredder's intro when he turns to Super Shredder, Shredder will warp around as normal Shredder.
    - He will only be Super Shredder during his standing anim.



- During the second round, Super Shredder reverts to normal Shredder to warp and perform jumping attacks.



- Because he reverts to normal Shredder, Supper Shredder can also be grabbed.

Not sure if this has been said yet but, krang's overhead comes out a bit too fast imo. Overheads are usually slow so that if you get hit by them you deserved it and were mixed up. comboing after them is totally fine but I think there should be 5-7 more frames of start up on it.

I agree with that. Krang's overhead is too fast and more times than not, he'll catch you with it after a low attack, because you'll still be left in blockstun before you can rise up to guard it.

Well you can still block it even in block stun once you get used to the pattern. It's just that unless you're used to reacting fast to the opponent you'd never see it coming. My issue is that overheads are never that fast unless it was from the air in pretty much anything ever. Thanks to this really slow guy in my sig I'm very used to blocking right......(I also use really slow chars in other fighters)

I haven't downloaded Krang (not my cup of tea) so I don't know how fast his overhead is, but there are some pretty fast overheads out there, such as the command overheads in Samurai Shodown V Special, Jin's overhead from Blazblue, Ryo's overhead from KOF, etc.

I wonder if 483 or so is the best one can do with Shredder.(Basic standing combo, end with Fierce Kick, into L+M Ground Burst, into 2 or 3 hits of an air combo, into Foot Clan Super).

Then again, L+M Ground Burst into Foot Clan is about 400 damage on it's own for 1500 Power.  And the move itself 'raw' does 315 or so.

There's a lot of oddities in his chaining but you're not 'rewarded' for any of them.  Though I suppose it's better to keep him under control-he's already got unparalleled mobility and is ridiculously aggressive.

...The readme notes that Super Shredder has to pay 100 Power for his teleport.  Not only is he not paying it but Shredder himself doesn't have to pay a thing by default.  Surely Shredder should have to pay but Super Shredder shouldn't(Not that the AI bothers using it, and why should it)?

I agree on the push back, on Krang being a bit much.  But if it needs to stay, I would enjoy it more if there was some sort of animation to go with it (sort of like a goofy explanation for it, if you get what I am saying), like a cartoony trampoline, or a boxer glove appears out of some part of his robot body, thus pushing you back.

For those who want to disable or lower the amount of push back from Guard Push, simply open the character's CNS file, search for Statedef 750 (Guard Push helper), and look for:
Code:
[State 750]
type = VelSet
trigger1 = Time >= 0
x = 17

Simply change 17 to 0 to fully disable the push back.

If you haven't tried these out, holy shit you're in for a treat. Kamakaze gave is insanely accurate SNES renditions of TMNT characters, and that's a good thing. Dcat, on the other hand, gave us something special here with an infusion of personality, charm, and insanely fun playability. These TMNT renditions are easily six of the best characters Mugen has to offer. Period. Load up Shredder and Krang and simply cycle through their introductions. Yeah, they're that awesome. :mmhmm:

You really can't compare these to Kamakaze's as both sides of the TMNT mugen fence are beyond spectacular. Hell... download all of them!!

I was also one of the few to have been fortunate enough to beta test Shredder and Krang. A few moves came from yours truly!! Also, to celebrate how amazing these are, I featured this thread on Facebook. :2thumbsup:

Be sure to watch your necrobumping. Also, this is a question reserved for configuration help and not the actual thread. While we appreciate your post here, this isn't the proper place to ask. Since you're newer here, I'm not going to delete this and send you a PM. Keep that in mind for next time.

Why does Foot Storm take more meter than it should? For a couple of Foot Soldiers that appear, they take 500 power. Appears to happen twice. Overlapping, perhaps?

this could be a perfect time to tell dcat to update krang, here's a couple things to tell u, dcat, about krang:

1. can you extend one of krang's intros so it can act like an episode called "Ninja Sword of Nowhere" and an image of april appears saying that she's located the turtle's lair and while he says "Who needs john and marsha?" and then he shoots a laser beam and destroys the tv?

2. while playing in simul mode if one of the characters don't get caught at the beginning of krang's level 3 super and get caught in the electric part instead, the character flys off the screen

I actually lost my login info for that website so it'll remain perpetually obsolete I'm afraid. Just as surprised as you that its still up as well though, but very grateful that it is...

That simul mode bug is tricky, I'll see if I can fix it...

Feedback: after re-downloading your characters, I noticed some of your combo suggestions for characters on their readme don't technically connect. For example:

Leo's Basic chains

(these don't connect all the way through)

Since you are back updating your characters, let me just tell you something I noticed with Shredder: when the opponent is affected by his Retro Mutagen ray and they try to jump backwards, they'll play the "crouching" animation instead of the "jump start" animation (at least for the normal ground version. I haven't tried the flying one). I have a feeling this may not be intentional.

Since you are back updating your characters, let me just tell you something I noticed with Shredder: when the opponent is affected by his Retro Mutagen ray and they try to jump backwards, they'll play the "crouching" animation instead of the "jump start" animation (at least for the normal ground version. I haven't tried the flying one). I have a feeling this may not be intentional.

Yeah, well, sorry to bring bad news, but now it seems that the "jump start" action is completely skipped during backwards jumps, but the "jump start" animation is now played during the backwards jump itself instead of the normal jumping animation. So, in a way, it's even more broken now.  :mwhy: Sorry again.

Edit: As far as I can tell, in the previous version, all that was needed to fix the issue was to find this part in the code

Shredder, Krang & the TMNT's  are top priority at the moment but I always have other things brewing. Check the folder, I've revived my Adam WIP and will continue to update. I should probably completely redo Sketch Turner next, he's got so much variety and it was really early on in my character creation when I did that first version.

SHREDDER UPDATE - 3/23/2017

-Tweaked Normal Shredder A.I. -- Shredder should now use more Special Attacks and the SHADOW CLONE SUPER
-Improved chaining from Crouching HP > EX HEAVY ENERGY CLAW

I messed with a bit of Veanko's Shredder A.I. cause I got tired of seeing him launch Energy Claw projectiles into the heavens with all of his opponents on the ground. I also improved a combo or two and let him use his OTG throwing star and Tsuki Nage specials more frequently. This one has been long overdue so hopefully it an improvement. Check him out and lemme know what you guys think.

The input for Chaining EX ENERGY CLAW following Shredder's standard Launcher is now more intuitive, just press QCF, MP + HP to get the Heavy / High EX version. No longer need to do the finger gymnastics of pressing  QCF, LP + HP to get the HEAVY/High EX Attack on followup.


KRANG UPDATE - 3/23/2017

-Fixed bug with WRATH OF KRANG HYPER not connecting properly in Simul Mode
-Added an Opponent Bind code by SYN & Cybaster for Wall Bounce / Floor Bouncw / Explosion Burned States. Now these special hit effects should be correctly applied to all enemies regardless of Mugen game mode

I added an Opponent Bind Helper code to Krang that was present in Shredder to my Krang character as well. Should be able to do more dynamic P2 and P4 effects when a few of his flashier attacks connect. Also experimenting with making Krang's Air Haymaker send the player into Flattened / Squished / Stuck in Ground Custom State.

I maybe he changed something in the Files and forgot that he did it, Shredder has the options to always become Super Shredder in the Second Round, or even Start as Super Shredder in round one, and some other options.

Yeah, you can change that in the config file.  ;D That´s why I have a normal Shredder & a Super Shredder in my roster.
