About off-line LEGIT character usage of sprites/code.

Well, i got a question.
If a creater of a character that was fully LEGIT. I mean no stolen sprites or code went offline and left the mugen creation team. Can you use the sprites/code becouse basically he quite mugen and probely wouldn't care.

What are your opinions on this?

under the randomselect open source thing, unless the guy has been off of rless than a year or has a comepletely original creation (or semi edited sprites), the author is open source. Under guilds rules, you can do whatever you want with them, just credit the original author (meaning put his name in the readme)
