I have recieved many questions about the canon storyline of the game, so this is a thread dedicated to detailing what truly happens in the MK vs SF universe, despite multiple endings and storylines.
-All the intros which are detailed are true.
-Ryu, after traveling with the forces of light a bit, fights ken, winning and helping him to his feet.
-Sakura faces Scorpion who is hunting Ryu. She loses horribly and is about to die until ibuki suddenly appears and saves her.
-Ibuki and Sakura spar. Ibuki wins in a close match.
•Cyborg Smoke, during his quest to kill Sub-Zero, encounters Ibuki shortly after she saves Sakura from Scorpion. Sakura flees, while Ibuki fights the cyborg, but is defeated in spectacular fashion. Smoke spares her, as she is not his intended target.
-Sub Zero, also protecting Ryu, fights Scorpion and once again loses.
•After his defeat at Scoprion's hands, Sub-Zero is attacked by Smoke, but defeats him and reprograms him to attack Shang Tsung instead.
-The events of MK vs SF 2 take place.
-Ken goes to the rooftop to reflect on his loss to ryu.
-The events of mk vs sf 1 take place.
-Chun-Li re-finds guile and they have a friendly spar. Chun-Li wins.
-Chun Li faces Kitana in a friendly battle. She looses.
-Yun tries to assasinate Kung Lao (hes mileena's slave) and looses. His life is spared.
-After being beaten for failing, Yun is sent out by Mileena to kill Makoto. He is about to finish her when he decides to rebel against Mileena.
-Kitana faces Mileena. Beating her savagely, she leaves Mileena alive, but weak.
-Yun confronts the weakened mileena, and in a rage, beats her and kills her by bursting her heart and throwing her to her death.
•Recovering from her fight with Scorpion, Sakura heads out to find Ryu, but meets an enraged Raiden, who is going mad from the influence of Shang tsung's magic. This time, Sakura is able to hold her own, but Raiden teleports away before she can finish the fight.
-Makoto, seeking to prove she is still strong, faces Liu Kang, barely loosing.
•After losing to Liu Kang, Makoto has a run-in with Scorpion, and they fight to a standstill. Both are suddenly set upon by Baraka's hordes, and they drive them off, before deciding to work together to defeat Shang Tsung.
-Sonya and Kano fight with kano winning, leaving sonya incapacitated. Kano, more interested in personal profit than killing, turns his back on her.
- Kano battles with Cage and almost kills him and Ken comes to rescue Cage from Kano, who runs away to the living forest.
- Reptile appears out of nowhere and beats Kano for insubordination and straying from orders without care, and sends him to a prison. Sometime later Zangief is also sent here after battling and being captured by a Tarkatan horde(Barakas). The bad guys have them battle in prison and freedom is given to the one that lives... Zangief. Kano dies from a neck-cracking Final Atomic Buster.
-Yun lands himself in the prison after he is apprehended by the tarkatan hordes. He is going to be tortured to death, but before this happens, he stirs up the prisoners and breaks out with all of them in a riot, intending to destroy the tarkatan hordes. He goes off on his own eventually.
- Zangief, now free but feeling guilty from killing Kano battles Sagat and loses.
-Guile fights M.Bison and almost dies when Sonya interferes. They cause Bison to flee then fight each other before deciding to work cooperatively.
-Alex faces Jax and joins up with him.
•Dudley meets Kung Lao, and after a sparring match agrees to help find Baraka. They work together to kill him, and the hordes scatter.
-Urien defeats reptile and kills him.
-Sagat fights Ryu to a draw.
•Urien, after killing Reptile, encounters M. Bison, and lets slip his plans to conquer both worlds. M. Bison wants no competition, and kills Urien in the resulting fight.
-Chun-li finds Bison while investigating Shang Tsung. Attacking him, they fiercely battle until he stops suddenly. Remarking with a smile that he'll "save her for another time" and teleports away.
-Ken and Johnny Cage fight to a draw, but are too weak to continue.
•On his way to kill Shang Tsung, Smoke meets M. Bison, and is brutally pummelled. Too damaged to continue his mission, the cyborg self-destructs, but Bison survives the explosion.
•After his freedom from the prison, Zangief feels horrible, as he has never killed in his life. He meets Liu Kang, who helps cheer him up, and he realises he was wrong about most of the Kombatants.
-M. Bison attacks Shang Tsung, who is empowered by the soulnado, and is killed.
-Ryu, Sakura, Alex, Guile, Kitana, Liu Kang, Jax, Chun-Li and Sonya all raid Shang Tsung's fortress.
-A tainted ken, claimed by Shang Tsung after his fight with Johnny Cage, and Ermac fight the invaders.
-All but Ryu and Liu Kang are defeated.
-Scorpion appears with makoto to defeat Ermac, realizing that Ryu didn't murder his clan.
-Shang Tsung sends Scorpion to the Netherrealm AGAIN, but does not get to attack makoto, as yun appears and remembers her face. He joins the fight with Ryu and Liu Kang, but is tossed into the soulnado, where he sees yang's spirit and is brought peace.
-Ryu and Liu Kang defeat Shang Tsung together and destroy him.
-Chameleon appears and attacks both Liu Kang and Ryu, defeating Liu Kang and brutally wounding Ryu.
-Shin LVL 2 Akuma appears and fights Chameleon.
-events of MK vs SF 3 take place.
-Peace is restored and Kitana becomes queen of the realms.
And that is how everything goes. Hope this helps. ;)

Um...no. Ibuki wins, cuz after all Sakura was horribly beaten to near death by Scorpion in the previous event. :D ...Since kinda harsh on Ibuki's part being that she just saved her ass too. :-\
Sagat facing Dudley twice and beating him twice is lame. Have him go against someone MK for a change...and then he fights Ryu to a draw, and then what? Lame. Also, why would he interfere in a fight between Cyborg Smoke and Sub-Zero? He's got no beef with any of the two.
Seems to me you guys put a huge effort into spriting/adding him to the game when he has such a little cruddy part in the storyline. You should have him cross paths with Scorpion and after both realize they both want Ryu dead they make a Deadly Alliance and kill Subzero somewhere before the whole Tsung fortress raid. Then Scorpion, realizing Ryu is not who he's after, goes after Ermac and Sagat and Ryu are left alone to fight.
- M.Bison gets killed to quickly...and singlehandedly by Tsung? C'mon.
- Why would Liu Kang fight Kung Lao in the middle of all this happening? There are higher things at stake and they are friends...no time for training.
- Zangief beat by Alex...Hardly believable.
- Kano seems whimpy as hell. First He is beaten by Reptile...then he runs away from Sonya, AGAIN ::) Then....Ooops! He fell into the pit after battling Zangief!
How about this?
- Kano battles with Cage and almost kills him and Ken comes to rescue Cage from Kano, who runs away to the living forest.

This would give many characters in the story more exposure and is far more interesting.
Yun seems to be quite the badass, killing Mileena and what not, but then disspears into thin air. Have him raid Tsung's fortress along with everyone else and get into a battle with Cyborg Smoke or something.
Just my two cents.

Just a note, MaxBeta - Sagat doesn't want to kill Ryu. They just consider each other rivals, not enemies, so having Sagat team up with Scorpion, who wants to kill Ryu, would be a litte off.
I would suggest that first, Sub-Zero tries to stop Scorpion from killing Ryu, but loses the resulting fight and is tossed aside. Sagat overhears this and deduces that Shang Tsung is behind it. Then Scorpion fights Ryu, but Sagat arrives and informs him of Shang Tsung's deception. Furious, Scorpion goes after Shang, leaving Ryu and Sagat to spar.
I also have some ideas for the plot, concerning a few elements not touched on yet, as well as a few ignored characters:
- Urien, after killing Reptile, encounters M. Bison, and lets slip his plans to conquer both worlds. M. Bison wants no competition, and kills Urien in the resulting fight.
- Dudley meets Kung Lao, and after a sparring match agrees to help find Baraka. They work together to kill him, and the hordes scatter.
- During his fight against Cage, Kano whips out Shang Tsung's secret weapon - MK vs. SF 3's Proton Cannon. When Ken arrives, he smashes the cannon to pieces.
- Cyborg Smoke, during his quest to kill Sub-Zero, encounters Ibuki shortly after she saves Sakura from Scorpion. Sakura flees, while Ibuki fights the cyborg, but is defeated in spectacular fashion. Smoke spares her, as she is not his intended target.

I just thought it would give these characters more exposure as well.
Ok, if Raiden helps Zangief snap back into his senses then the events of MkvsSF 1 cannot take place....Raiden is evil there and is killed by Ken if I remember correctly....unless there's a Dark Raiden or something of the like.
Another thing, so far from what I've read it looks like Chameleon is the main antagonist here...not Tsung or Shao Kahn? If memory serves me right, a "Master" is mentioned by Chameleon in MKvsSF3 and it is quite possibly making allusion to Shao Kahn.
So I want to know who is the big boss of the baddies here guys?

I don't really know about "bitter", but there is a rivalry, yes. Sagat considers Ryu to be the greatest challenge he's ever had, but still has a lot of anger due to the scar and whatnot.

He was probably reffering to Shao Kahn in MK vs SF 3. In this game, however, Shao Kahn has been killed by Liu Kang, and Shang Tsung has taken his place as the Emperor of Outworld. So now Chameleon would consider Shang to be his "master", although he doesnt really care either way.

I'm afraid not - most of those characters had no combos whatsoever, and focused mostly on punching you clear across the room - implementing these into MK vs. SF style would be difficult, to say the least.
The roster has already been finalised, as well, so don't get your hopes up for Sheeva. :P

Just read the replies here. I do rather like the ideas added to build intrigue. In fact, i was running short on ideas when i wrote some of the canon stories for characters so, Ill be changing some of the details to those mentioned. :)

I think it'd be good in the story to have a stalemate between them...a double ko...after that they go on to help elsewhere and become rivals

She has to wake up eventually. Lol! But yeah...i will give her a more active role. If guile is still alive during the fotrtress storming, i think its very possible chun li is.

Enh, Akuma's more of a loner. And its possible they could team up, because scorpion isn't evil persay, more misunderstood if anything. And Makoto could serve to regulate his brutality.

Akuma views himself above all other fighters and the few who could be a threat to him(according to Akuma himself) are Ryu and Gouken....for the most part Akuma/Gouki works alone half because of his vanity for his own fighting
the few who I think would truly give Gouki a run for his money would be Chameleon,Rugal(including God Rugal),Ryu and Evil Ryu,Gouken,and finally Orochi

Gen could but Akuma know's Gen was dying and only fights those who are at 100% because even though he's evil he is a fair fighter and honorable for at least that. That's why he won't even fight Gen. Gen had cancer or sumthin and was dying...otherwise Akuma and Gen would've been duukin it out a long time ago.
Akuma doesn't go out lookin for fights, he waits for those to step up and challenge him. He only taunts Ryu because he feels Ryu is dishonoring Ansatsuken by not using all of his power(his Satsui no Hadou) and denies the power within.
