Title: Multi Chars - "To Six" Edit Project

Hi! Last project : cmd and cns edits, to convert characters with 2-3-4 buttons to 6 buttons, adding them superjump, and faster combos combinations... (and more...)
Some facts : I am not a coder, I don't code supers or new things from scratch (maybe one day on another level). I made those edits for myself and share to the community, like for my screenpacks, it is just a sharing thing after all.

Behind the language barrier, the man has a bunch of ideas, some good spriting skills and works really fast. Too fast maybe, giving betas and incomplete characters, with a lot of potential btw. I really like what he does, it could be far better with patience and time. I asked Chucho if I could edit some of his characters. shin Akuma feedback -He has an easy infinite, Hold forward and keep pressing standing light punch -why does he have God Rugal's God Press and Ryu's Joudan Sokutou Geri and Shin Shoryuken? these moves aren't even Akuma's........ -Why are the commands for Raging Demon ,Asura Warp and Misogi -He turns into SFA Akuma when doing a Raging demon -He turns into CvS Akuma during the running part of God Rugal's god Press which he shouldnt even have in the first place -Alot of the Sprites look weird in some animations -That Chaining is way too loose, even for a Vs Series inspired character. -Alot of his Supers and some of his specials do Ridiculously high damage
needs a bit more work :-\

Ok I hear you man. I really like this char even with his stange beard and mixed infinite moves... And like I said, some characters will remain buggy maybe i will rework on them after... I learn everyday on cns et cmd editing.

hey dura,
those are just cosmetic things but still:
- Krauser's hyper BG (when performing his Kaizer Wave hyper) is very bright and somehow, we can't see clearly what's going on - maybe tweak the Kaizer Wave so that it doesn't go so fast: maybe find a timing compromise between his move in Fatal Fury Special and the one right now?

And idk if you noticed, but ya can do an easy infinite with crouching strong kick with Olof, and there might be more since most states have the movecontact with their own states. But the worst part is the collision boxes, if you have time, please remake them all to resemble for more simple clsn, like the ones in KOF

First off, if you have something to say, you can say it in English. Don't be firing shots in a different language. If you're gonna fire shots, you can say it in English and be more direct about it.
So let me get this straight, are you saying I was trolling like a preteen with the video I did? Yeah my lifebars are pretty preteen, but they're awesome. Anyways, everything showcased was legit. The things I said were legit. If you think I was trolling, then you must not know what a troll is. I did this not only to inform people how much of a mess your edits are, but also this was so I could bring the problems with your edits to your attention. Now tell me, what does that have to do with being a troll?

To be honest, you're right. That's how things should be done.
You see Duracelleur, if you mass produce edits like jack rabbits, you're not ensuring any quality at all, but instead, it's just quantity and we all know how that turns out and your edits are proof. You know I must ask you. Do you test your edits at all? Because a lot of the things I find in your edits, I find within a 3 minute time period.

Hey Durecellar, I like what your doing. But I think that some of the edits need the sound fx to either changed or arranged differently. It would really make these even better.
Most of these have good sound fx but some of them still have their old sounds as far as the whoosh and hit sounds go. Try experimenting with ones that fit your taste or style, and you'll see what I mean.

Hey Ru@cee, I like what you've done! I already told you that! I hope some of your edits has 6 buttons one day... (did I say Gato, Marco, Gai Tendo, Silver??) In fact I've changed all hitsounds for all chars already. But for some chars like Ukyo (and others) I should have to change all sounds, cause they were ripped from the early years I think. Nice to see some old Mugen creation being updated to the new Mugen :sugoi: There is an issue to kaede, when he is near opponent and pressing Z, he grab opponent instead of attacking opponent to launch aerial wave. When his opponent's life is low and he grab his opponent, no life is damage to his opponent except when his opponent's life is high. Crossing finger to Setsuna by Orochi Herman and Basara by Yuto being updated by you, hopefully :ninja:

1. his qcf+2p doesn't use a power bar 2. his qcf+2k doesn't let the opponent stand still and then fall down

Nice job on Genjuro. Over all he plays like a dream, certainly replaces the old one on my roster, but as a long time Genjuro player I must say, the timing on the: D, F, P, D, F, P, D, F, P feels off. It's really tough to pull off, and the 2nd hit seems to come a bit late.

Very nice work on the D, F, QP, D, F, QP, D, F QP, but sorry I was unclear, I was talking about the MP/FP one where he dashes through the opponent, then back through them, then back through them again. Although it seems you have him set up so that the first dash through is followed up by the 'rising sword uppercut'. Nice touch. Just a suggestion, but maybe replace the third dash through with an uppercut, rather than the second?
Either way, again, fantastic job, and i seriously enjoy your work. The samurai shodown selection out there was really suffering til you started these, imo. :sugoi:

lol sorry... For Yoshitora I just figured out that there were a weird explod red effect on all hit-moves so I removed it. And for Genjuro, I think he still need some work like RobotMonkeyHead suggest. I've made a short list of characters to edit. And After that I'm done with To Six edits. ++

when he misses his d,f 2p, his fire sprites from his backflip kick doesn't come out for some reason

You seem to be doing those edits for quite a while now. Not to be rude but I don't see any improvements on all of your edits. There's not a lot of detailed feedback from people who have played with your edits lately. Nor anyone who has beta-tested your edits. I'm not telling you to stop making those edits, but you should not constantly rush on editing the characters that you have planned to edit and maybe take some time to test out your edits and eventually, make a worthwhile character edit that doesn't have infinites, loose air combos, supers that take power back, and overpowered specials and supers.
As I mentioned earlier, it takes time and practice to make something for MUGEN or even an edit, worth downloading and to get a lot of positive comments and feedback. Good luck.

Watched your video and this is the result : ... Not to be rude All I see is a man testing a hyper in practice mode. A hyper, same as Mvc wolverine for example, with a char who can do infinite hits in a time. Like I said in edits's topics "some chars will remain buggy"... I've worked on infinite moves on all chars and if someone see some infinite problems just tell me I will check on that quickly. I dont touch damages and power on special and hyper moves. Dont have the time for that sorry. I'm working fast due to this lack of time. People make me laugh with their smart feedback videos. Why didnt you PM me? Btw, As said before AGAIN, I dont force people to like my edits. I'm just sharing things, if you think you can improve them, GO ON! Good luck too with your things!

Billy Kane for some reason, during 2 vs 2 simultaneously, stops functioning to any button commands (buttons pressed) the only thing he is able to do during this time is move, jump, block and do specials (power ups). Only once he is hit by an opponent, does he work fine again for a few seconds, then the same thing happens. :???:

that seth looks broken in some parts, also he is missing some sprites, when he is grabbed and trowned by pots's ryu he disappears... not only with pots but with other characters aswell, he disappears when getting hit...

I'm loving the to six project, And as a big fan of Rage of the Dragons from back in the day I enjoy the MVC style version of Jones, BUT I noticed that he has the spin kick (QCB K) He dosent have the super version he did in the original ROTD (where he spins multiple times) otherqwise there all freakin' sweet. Speaking of Rage of the Dragons, Any chace of a Kang Mae Jo Edit? There's nothing cooler than a fat, fire breathing, korean luchadore after all (unless of course it was MVC Style with extra stuff!!)

Thanks MrAdam! Some (a lot...) of the edited chars are incomplete. For Jones I don't think he had this super spin kick, I will check on that.
I'm taking a break with the edits. I want to move on new projects and finish the svk screenpack. I've made an update to Spawn too, he will be online soon. ++

The kano is great i enjoy playing him haha :) AND thanks big time for changing the sparks and getting rid of the fatality I love em and all but they're annoying when played against in normal mugen without fixed to work with fatality characters ;p you have anymore thoughts for more mk characters? maybe bihno's scorpion? haha idk just a suggestion

First off, sorry if this was already mentioned. I've not tried all your stuff yet. But I noticed some problems with Duck King. The major issue is that you completely removed Statedef -2. While this surely gets rid of the mode select and other stuff that I'm sure you didn't want, but it also removes his duckling follower and can break some characters. I suggest looking through the code to find the specific things you want to remove. This can be made easy by looking through the .air file (preferably in fighter factory or a similar program) to find the animation numbers of the elements that you want to remove. Then search in the .cns for those numbers and remove or modify the code that triggers them. This is what I do for my edits, anyway. You may find a method that works better for you. Keep up the good work, I like what you're doing here.

first of all i have to say im a hughe fan of what youre doing because i was always disappointed that nobody had the idea to convert some old school chars to six button gameplay. ive downloaded almost all of your chars and i noticed some real issues on some edits.
-kazama kazuki - doesnt get his powerbar filled up when he attacks o0* how im i supposed to do a hyper?
-Zankuro - hyper special does waaaayyyy to much damage (3/4 lifebar) and has no sound animation ?
- Amano - i didnt played him in original game but is he supposed to always stumble when he jumps and misses his attack? e.g : jump - hit opponent = everythings ok ; jump - miss attack = stumble . everytime after that when you jump , no matter if you hit or miss the enemy amaro stumbles... also serveral other moves and his grab doesnt inflict damage? is that supposed to be like that because of overpower or what?
-Bishamon - cant get him to work on winmugen... ive downloaded him 3 times cuz i thought the file's corrupted or something but mugen just dont want him to show up.. no error or something... he just keeps invinsible and unselectable.. ninja power : like he was never there... yeahh -_-*
LeeReka : ohh man i was a bit dissapointed on that one.. he was one of my favorites and when i played him he always get stucked or was floating/standing/fighting in the air..
a few things/little suggestions :
-saizo could have his shadow doppelanger move for 1 powerbar in my opinion since i doesnt do any more damge like his bombs -juzo could have one more hyper move because his 2 moves he have are both for short distance. the grab-hyper where he slams his enemy on the ground is cool but you have to stand freaking near to the enemy to perform that one. how about one more move to atack from mid/distance?
so far my feedback ;)
is there any chance you do mukoro/shikyoh or musashi from last blade ? they were always my favorites and i think the would perfectly fit into your collection :) pls keep up the great work youre doing.
btw: since i saw your edits i always wanted to convert some chars on my own. ive get managed to change the cmd - file so the supers and specials are easier to do but i ve always failed on re-mapping the attacks from 2 or 3 to 6 buttons ... how about a little tutorial without super bg edit and that stuff.. just for those people like me that share your ideas so they can try to convert their own? every week when im looking on mugen sites i see interesting chars and download them.. and when i play them im dissapointed like:
''hey that guy looks cool...great moves.. but only 3 buttons to play with..on my ps2 controller...narghhhhh wtf! whyyyy??!! ^^ ''
what do you think?

Yeah I am not not satisfied with those sprites... It was a test at first. I think I will rework on MrKarate's sprites.
Entering the -Update Time- Next weeks I'll will focus on re-working on the old incomplete edits.

basically the vs gameplay system is what i don`t like;other than that anything seems fine to me i would even work over any of your versions to edit sprites ...

Ali's Zankuro has got a bug, if Zankuro cornered his opponent and does his counter move (Mugenru Budou) successfully, his opponent will fly down the screen, not sure if you can fix it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba3EVW-_gxc

i know duracelleur youre taking a break and im not tyring to be offenisve but i have a question:
do you even played with your edits? serious question.. im not an expert on mugen but serious just on 1st playthrough and overlok your chars ive noticed the following
-jubei-
when you double tap backward he gets stuck in the air unless you press any any button
- yoshitora-
every time he gets hit by a strong attack he's ''freezing'' on the floor unable to get up
-reiji-
when you press run he keeps running uanble to press any button or command until he gets hit
-galford-
hyper move down,right x+y costs no super power -charlotte-
mutiple times on playthrough floating up in the air in different situations
-lee rekka-
x+y is an infinite attack causes way too much damage and fills the super meter like crazy
-washizuka-
-freezing on the ground just like yoshitora, -after using hyper move ( down,left x+y) super meter fills completly no matter if you had 3 or 1 superbar before, -after getting hit and standing up when you press forward he does an auto hyper move attack even when you have no super meter
-zantetsu-
hyper move (down,left a+b) costs no super power
-marco-
every hyper move costs 3 powerbars and does over the half of the lifebar damage oO supose you reduce the damage and make them all lvl 1 hypers

not a big deal but power up sound when you pressing a+b sounds skipping and shitty as hell -bishamon-
i couldnt even install this char oO no matter what i try he simply doesnt show up in my select screen?
so all in all you chars are very fun to play and ive downloaded all of them but some of them are simply unusable.. im not a coder or something but you didnt even noticed that your char is freezing when getting hit on the ground ? this leads me to a simple question: you even played with them when you finished them? not just in training mode? or even in training mode? in any mode?
wish you could fix that because the idea of converting 2-3 button chars into some sort of vs/mvc style is great and your chars are amazing simply just because you edited chars i wanted to play in a 6 button style since i heard first time about mugen.
you really bringing me back childhood memories when you first released your samurai showdown chars in your style but its a shame some of the best are unplayable just because of very very big bugs you should have noticed when you played with your finished character.. -_-

I'm not a player. I usually test characters in training mode that's why sometimes I can forget some things here and there. And I'm not a good coder too. I know how to edit things and this is enough for me.

Since I took many late in this project this year, I challenged myself to edit 30 new character in a row. 24 ready for now. So what to expect for those characters? Still CNS and CMD basic edits to feet the 6 buttons MVC gameplay I'm so fond of. I didn't code new hypers or specials for them, they have the original ones made by the original creators. So, again, I am just sharing edits made by a fanatic 2d fighting geek. ++

whenever i download a character off of onedrive, it tells me that it contains a malicious file and it's getting really annoying
Files are clean too.

(off topic) do you plan on doing anymore stages with the 1.1 zoom feature & super jump? That'd be frickin' great if you did. My stage roster has all of them haha
I really don't think so since I'm using the 90 stages previews limitation on my screenpack. But if Elecbyte move on, of course I will work on new stages.

yeah another rage of the dragons character edited to have six buttons, one super of d,df,f lk+lp is actually first impact, and if it hits, it does it automatically without having the need to press the corresponding punch and kick buttons, I love it, great job, i can't wait to see what's next

one more to go, and another thing, a couple of igniz supers, which are his max2 super and magaki's super didn't use the power bar, the max2 one didn't use the power bar when missed, please fix it

I know you said you were pretty much done with this but i was hoping you might reconsider and possibly take on converting Falchion and CWDEVINE's original street fighter 1 characters to allow 6 buttons.
I'm an arcade collector and i stumbled across their old street fighter 1 remake thanks to a few guys on the KLOV Forums (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=245025). Some of us are restoring and hunting old street fighter cabinets. The original 6 button factory conversions are common dynamo branded cabinets. I actually have two spare ones here.
I've been wanting to add a small pc and one of the street fighter 1 remakes to a spare cabinet i have. Only major problem is that the game only works with 4 buttons. :-\

In Mugen world everybody knows Chuchoryu. Behind the language barrier, the man has a bunch of ideas, some good spriting skills and works really fast. Too fast maybe, giving betas and incomplete characters, with a lot of potential btw. I really like what he does, it could be far better with patience and time. I asked Chucho if I could edit some of his characters. What I did : applied my tosix template, frankensprited some of the sprites, coded some new specials and hypers. Here is my vision of these characters (not accurate to their original games).++

oh an i noticed that Mr.Karate's D, DB, B, x+y move deals way to much damage (almost half-liebar) maybe u can fix that? he is one of my favorite charaters you made. same for almost all super moves of Ken. they look awesome man! but they all deal almost 3/4 of lifebar damage :(

Maybe... Mr Karate XIII has been trashed since I'm using the cvs version. I was really disappointed with the sprites conversion I did.

My small endoftheyear present for the community... the 10 SNK's Breakers characters fit very well in my capcom style screenpack now. Thanks to Descolor, Shimon and DrKelexo who originally coded the characters. Merry christmas! ++
