Hey, buddy! Yes, you! I'm talking to you, future character contributor!
Are you almost finished with your character, but need just one or two small animations to REALLY make it shine? Would those animations make your character truly awesome, but you can't afford to commission them? Heck, are they actually critical to your character's gameplay?
Well, I've got the (potential) solution for you!
It's the... SPRITESHEET EXPANSION REQUEST THREAD ADDENDUM - REQUEST THREAD TEST RUN!! The only "anything" in the world with a name long enough to make Capcom's game namers blush!
Think of this scenario: Coder: "Boy, I'm almost done coding this UMvC3 Wolverine! Other than the slightly different costume from the 2D sprites, he's totally source accurate! If only I had 2D sprites for that one new move they gave him in UMvC3, "Berserker Rage"... that would truly make this the real deal! Too bad I'm poor and can't commission it!"
Now imagine this: Sprite Artist: "Wow, a source-accurate MvC3 Wolverine! I'd love to download that someday! You say you're only missing that ONE animation? Heck, I'm pretty good at making CPS2 sprites! If that's all you need, I'd be happy to contribute that! Here you go!"
Result: MUGEN Community: Yay! The day is saved!

What do you need to have before requesting an animation? 1. Evidence that you're actually working on a character and have made significant progress. This evidence can be a beta version, a youtube video, or an outstanding reputation for completing projects. 2. A clear description of the animations you need and how these will contribute to the completion of the character (except where obvious).
What do you need to do to fulfill a request? 1. Post a message in this thread indicating that you'll take care of it, so we don't have multiple people working on the same thing for no reason! 2. If you're planning to charge for that animation, PM the person that requested it to see if they're interested, don't post that in this thread. This thread is for freebies only!

Dragon Kid: Don't worry about the misunderstanding, it happens. Regarding your request, I understand you have a project thread, but other than a few screenshots, there's nothing that tells us how much progress you've made on Ryu and Ken... the idea is that you come close to finishing the characters with everything else, then ask for those moves when you're done with that.

I have considered updating my Enya Gail and Kameo with proper crouching/crouching attacks/standing attacks/throws. If anyone has any good ideas for these and wants to edit them, I'd be more than happy to see what people come up with. Probably doesn't help that their sprites were originally ripped by me in the wrong resolution. Maybe a broken toilet anim as well for the Justice super?
Question: how much progress is required? Because I have 2 videos and several screenshots
That should be good enough if the video demonstrates good progress on the coding side (gameplay, CLSNs, etc...). Just remember rule 2:
2. A clear description of the animations you need and how these will contribute to the completion of the character (except where obvious).
It should be clear that this is not just 1 or 2 animations out of a DOZEN that you need to finish your project, but 1 o 2 that are left to fully complete the project (of course, if you decide to do some revisions in the future, that's fine).
If you already have this stuff in your own Project thread, you can just link to it when making your request. You don't have to post the video in this thread if you don't need to. I'll also act as good advertising if you haven't received a lot of attention on your project.
Well, I plan on using this topic when the new animations are the only things left to finish the character (disregarding the ai).
You don't have to wait THAT much... just show enough progress to make it clear that people's submissions aren't just going to end up in the garbage.
EDIT: Just to prove I'm not one of those people that love to contribute ideas, but doesn't actually contribute work, I'm officially volunteering to draw the first request! I will be working on those Fei Long running sprites to the best of my abilities! :)

If you don't think people can get that from one of the pics in your thread, then yeah, post one here and I'll add it in your section. Regarding the link, I already do that by default whenever there's a project thread in this forum. It helps people know that there's progress on the project. :)
Regarding those Fei Long sprites... I'm done with the lineart but boy... that SFA3 shading for Fei Long is RIDICULOUS... I'll post the second finished frame when I'm done with it...

There are a few things that could be changed still, but it's a great effort man!
The most glaring issue is the hands. You could use one of SNK's characters animations, to see how they could be open, and not necessarily bend inside, towards the body. drawing that would have been easier than what you did :P

Yeah, the arms in general don't move too smoothly... I wanted to give them a wide arch, but I also wanted to make sure the animation had a CVS-framecount (6), just in case that's what ViolinKen was going for. I just tried to settle for something close to SFA.
Again... if you guys look at any of the previous sprites I submitted, you'll see most of them are unfinished/uncolored... I need someone to teach me how to do this... tutorials help, but not enough. A lot of them assume that I have way too much intuition, which I don't. :D

I added few sprites like run, but this char still missing two animations; the second hit of Shoryuken and the spinning hit of EX Shoryuken. I tried make theese animations but my sprite skills are very limited and the result was terrible!

Not mine, and... no, not really. There's a few frames where everything above his left knee rotates and the lower half of that leg is completely still. It needs tons and tons of work.

Well, let me give this a try... Because Xenomic won't leave me alone about adding MBs/Shocked to my chars that don't have them...(just teasing Xeno :P) I'd like to request a MB for Sagat, using his SvC one. I need it converted to his CvS/Alpha sprites, with it's look and shading/scale. Here's how it looks for anyone who doesn't know...
I have all six frames, though only 2 is actually needed. If anyone would like to convert all six, that would be cool, but it isn't needed. I can work with just the standing pose and held up pose. Here are the sprites...
My Sagat is CS'd and I included his CS template with him. That can be used to help with adapting the sprites to his pal scheme. However, that not really a big issue either. Because I'm sure I can have someone help out with adapting the sprites to his pal scheme. Namely Froz... >_< All that's needed is to convert/scale them to CvS-ish(Alpha-like really in Sagat's case... it's sorta a hybrid). One more note, I did use Sagat's CvS sprites, which are scaled by default, not through code. Please keep that in mind.

Wow, that kick is too goddamn ugly.
If you use some feet from the CVS shoto-sets, and remove some wrinkles/muscle lines from the arms, you'll definitely be closer to the result you desire.

Come on, I don't mean the sprites (which obviously need a fix) but the animation itself. As it stands right now, it needs to be converted into CVS, to look less SF3-exaggerated.
Also, just by looking at the animation I don't even understand what Sean is supposed to be doing. Is it a POKE kick? Is it a SWEEP? If it's a standing sweep, doesn't Ken have one that looks very close to that?

Hey Graphicus, I thought that you would like to know that someone did the needed animation for the Hyper Chain Drive, which Quickfist requested for his K':
Some frames added to make it look more smooth. Also some minor fixes were made. Still not perfect though....
As you can see, the volunteer's name is sabockee, and Quickfist already gave his blessings to this animation. Oh, and @Jmorphman: SeanAltly volunteered to do the Nanase animation you wished, and it looks damn good.

That doesn't look that good. It's jerky and missing frames, K' doesn't raise his whole arm, timing is wrong, he clutches his arm when he isn't supposed to...

Not sure if this fits here...
Long story short... I thought I would have the time to remake Ryo's CVS stance, a mix between both CVS and XIII. Judas (http://mugenguild.com/forum/profile/judas-546) beat me to it, did an amazing job making an alt XIII version.
I still wanted to make my version at this point so I chopped up Judas' sprites and used them in parts of mine.
I will not be able to finish these sprites anytime soon! Anyone who would like to use what I have so far or finish these up you are very welcomed to do so.

This is the Request thread for the SET project, so ideally the only submissions that should be posted are ones that meet any of the requests in the first page :P

Anyone interested in fulfilling a request should indicate it in the thread before they actually start working on it (this is so we don't have more than one person working on the same submission for no reason).
If no one has indicated that they're doing it, then it would imply that unfortunately no one has taken on your request yet. :(
You should mention your request in your own project thread if you haven't yet. Might help it get more visibility.

You need something that shows that what you request will actually be put to good use if it is fulfilled. Ideally on something that's already at least 90% complete. Maybe it's easier if I show you examples of requests that aren't valid:
1. "I'm thinking of working on a new version of Zangief character but I really want him to have this one move that there are no sprites for. If someone sprites that move I promise I'll start working on the character!"
The above doesn't work because the person hasn't even done anything yet with the character. For all we know, he'll give up halfway or something or never get started.
2. "I'm working on this project, but I only have 50% of the sprites. I'd like to ask for this first (then I'll worry about the rest)"
The above doesn't work because the idea of this thread is to supply one or two missing animations, not half the sheet. And even if you weren't asking for the remaining half here, it would still mean that whatever effort the submitter maker may end up being wasted, since there's no way to tell when that other 50% will appear.

Well, it's hard to tell about the completition of the character, but I am working on Togetic, who will appear in Ryon's Fullgame "Project Catch'em All". I have already fully coded the intro, two attacks and the first version of the third attack, and I have almost fully coded the winpose (there is only one bug left), thus making him around 70% complete. The only thing missing is the second version of the third attack, which only needs around 2 sprites+transition sprites, and the fourth attack, which I rather don't want to think about (since it is Metronome). However, I am currently only asking for sprites for the second version of the third attack, while I try to somehow make some of the needed sprites for Metronome myself (I will try to do this by franken-spriting and limb-spriting). What I basically need is an animation of Togetic charging up (like if he would do a CvSish Power Charge) and an animation of Togetic doing a tackle, since I am trying to replicate the anime version of the Pokemon attack "Facade". the most important things: 1. No new shades, please. Just work with the amount of shades already given by the original sprite. 2. Please seperate the sprites in limbs as well, so I could reuse some of the limbs for future animations. For those, who wonder about the sprite style: It has to be JoshR's style of drawing.
What do you think? Is that enough?

Ah, thanks for qualifying my request. Well, we obviously cannot take the anime for animation references there, since the only two Pokemon in the anime, which performed Facade, were Milotic, who didn't had any arms or feet, and Zebstrika, who was standing on 4 feet. I understand, but this is an "expansion" thread. That means the sheet is practically finished/complete, except for one specific move that doesn't exist but you still want to add.
You can look at the Fei Long example. He had everything already except for a run move since there was no such move in SFA3. The sheet was complete, in a way... the Run animation is "expanding" the sheet so it can be used to incorporate the character into other play styles where characters need to be able to run.
Other examples can be found in the original Spritesheet Expansion thread. None of those animations are absolutely critical. They're just there to expand what can be done with the character and its available sprites.

Let me explain you more about this request, especially for those ones who doesn't know about it: I found this sprite above on the net and I used to make this character as the first Doctor Who char for MUGEN, first as an idea, later as a April's Fools release ("Rose a la POTS beta" in disguise (http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/bkun-la-pots-rose-public-beta-1-released-158499.0.html)) and finally confirm it as a proper WIP character, even releasing a beta, which it's basically the AF char without the Rose references. Well, I would like to make the sprites move as in DW series, since the one posted is the only one I could get, but I can't to make good edits for him, so I request your help for this task.

I don't mean to get your hopes down or sound rude, but if you only have one sprite, then you don't have a sheet. "Spritesheet expansion" means that you have a full sheet to work with and simply want to add one or two new moves to it (e.g.: A running animation that was missing, a new special/super move that doesn't appear until a later game or doesn't appear in the same series the sheet belongs to, etc...).
This is not the ideal thread to ask someone to create the whole sheet for you, regardless of how much work may actually be involved.

Daleks have very minimalist animations. The head rotating, the eye (plunger-like thing on the head) moving up and down, and the cannon and plunger on the arms moving up and down a bit are the only animations they can have. If there was a full sheet, it would only be that, and there would be no need for this request. So... Technically, this one sprite is pretty much the whole sprite sheet, except for those particular animations, which are mostly to make it look more alive.

He's right, it's not necessary to make a lot of sprites since Daleks don't move a lot, for those moves there're needed like 2-3 sprites per anim and nothing more than that, all the other basics are already done in Dalek beta, so what I need are some basic moves I can't do because of my limited spriting skills, so that's why I asked about this here. See the videos for a better idea, maybe you haven't see them yet ;)

I have a request. I would like someone to make an SF2-style edit of Akuma's F+MP overhead chop from the SF Alpha series for use in my Akuma's (http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/ssf2t-akuma-felineki-updated-5272014-custom-mode-added-157176.0.html) Custom mode.
As you can see, the first three frames of the chop animation correspond to Ryu's overhead punch, which already exists in SF2. Those frames will just need to have the head replaced, the torn sleeves and pants, sandals, and beads added, and the arm repositioned. The final two frames will need to be be heavily edited/made from scratch. Although the last frame of the SF2 Ryu overhead punch should come in handy as reference since the pose isn't all that different.
My Akuma has his full SF2 sprite set for reference.

@felineki: I found out that MASA's Gouki has something similar to what you're requesting. He doesn't have the hand opened like in SFA (it's like Ryu's attack, but with edited head and pants), but you could use that as placeholder. I might try to fulfill your request. It's not a promise though.

I was always kind of reluctant to ask, but I'm in a bit of a bind with my current character. The original artists did "something" very wrong to NZC Kakashi's sprites. I need most of his basic moves just redone, so they look like natural moves. I am doing some of them myself, but I'm a horrible spriter, so it's not really that great looking.
. I know most of these are CvS or SF-styled, but I was wondering if anyone could help out at all. Keep in mind that the character has already been released to the public here. He's just getting a revamp for my game: NZCR.
On that sheet, he's got mirrored sprites for facing the two directions. I would only need one side done, the right one. The first and second punches on his Attack Combo (Right) look awful. They need to be redone to look um... right? The same goes for his Air Combo (Right). It's like the same exact thing. Those first two punches are not right. Who does that? Strong Attack (Right) is the last one that needs fixing. This could be replaced with anything more natural than that.
