Ok , let me make some clarifications about my characters from Mortal Kombat, (you can read it in the spoiler below):

*.- Fixed some Glitches in finishers.

Features:
*.-This character was developed under MUGEN 1.1 engine.
*.-Include an instalation file (only COPY the main line in the select.def file).
*.-She have all techniques from "MK2".
*.-Can perform "2 FATALITIES and Arrange versions of FRIENSHIP" (Source game fatalities was modified for compatibility issues).
*.-Press Start and you can check the Moves list.
*.-You can choose the SOUND MODE pressing "Start" menu :
   ARRANGED : some sounds from newest MK games & ORIGINAL : all MK2 sounds.
*.-The fatalities can be performed at any distance. (But not too far).
*.-Compatible with the Char-Bosses of my authorship. (He can climb platforms & take items).
*.-Include CONFIG file.
   You can config:
   *-Sound Mode by Default
   *-You can add FEMALE character names for shows "FINISH-HER!" text.
   *-THIS FILE IS INTERCHANGEABLE WITH THE SAME FILE NAME IN OTHER Mortal Kombat CHARS OF MY AUTHORSHIP: (OMEGAPSYCHO).
        (So you don't need write names in every MK-char CONFIG file).

You are absolutely amazing.  As a big Mortal Kombat fan, I appreciate the effort of bringing the cast to Mugen which surprisingly nobody has done outside of a fullgame environment.

I remember RobotMonkeyHead was talking about splitting up Juano's characters to be in Mugen but I haven't seen him in a while

Great to see the person responsible for those awesome boss characters take up the mantle! Guess I'll have to officially upgrade to 1.1 now.... I was holding out until Noz released Legacy but I'm not passing up well coded MK chars

Unrelated to that, I was checking out your WIPs, there was Sheeva MK3 on your list. Will there be a probable chance of releasing MK3 characters after releasing MK1 and MK2 characters? I'm hoping for a Stryker or Kabal.

Don't worry, is possible that I release characters from MK3 before MK2.  :yes:

Oooooohh.... now this is pretty fucking awesome. I'm becoming more of a fan with each and every release of yours.

You see, this is what I love about Mugen, and Kyokano's SFxT screenpack did the same thing: Mugen tricks you into thinking you're playing the actual game, when in fact it is not. With your video, I could swear it is in fact MK, hands down. Then Mugen's fight.def system runs. That is amazing to me. You know you have something special on your hands when you have that effect on people. :mmhmm:

Thanks so much for sharing your content. I genuinely mean it when I say I look forward to what's next, especially with your MK releases. :lugoi:

Lastly, knowing you're busy with lots of stuff, should we expect more SF2 content?? Just curious.

Omega just a bit of a question, what about stage fatalities? Will they be available for your MK characters? I know Juano did that with his MK characters and they were highly accurate to the source game (save for the pit 2 but that was optional though without the custom sprites for the splatter effect)

No, I just want to put some characteristic sounds of the newest mk games as the scorpion's "get over here" for example.

1. - I have not seen any similar problem with the "move list" what I put in my characters, please, tell me if this happened too with my characters from "S. Street Fighter 2", if this happend, i'll rewrite the code en future updates.
2. - I had not noticed that detail, I'll see what I can do to also work on "turns mode".  :sweatdrop:
3. - For the characters in MK1, I decided to leave them with the same fatalities that I put on my old MK1 Shang Tsung character and save a bit of work (more than 60 characters is a lot work for one person). This was for advance more faster in the development of the characters from MK2 & MK3 (especially MK2 & MK3 Shang Tsung). I think is possible put more effects in the future characters, thanks for the suggestion.
4.- The explanation is easy, some creators make their characters with the animation 5300 (Dizzy animation) without hit boxes, (believe me, there are many  :shifty:), or, some characters are too small for being touched by a fatality move. This can cause many bugs when running the fatalities, which is why I made a generic animation for dizzy state with a tall hitbox.  :yes:

I want to avoid any compatibility issue at least until I finish all the characters from the original trilogy. After finishing I could consider doing this. As I always say "first the first".

Might be just me then because Liu Kang sometimes doesn't launch the opponent up, just knocks them into the other side of the stage. I want to believe this is intentional then.

- You can combo Jumping HP (jumping forward/back as well), jumping HK (not including jumping forward/back) into any attack when the opponent's on the ground when cornered.

Found this from MK1 characters.

The flying kick move, FF HK flies past an opponent if you're directly(touching) next to them when the move is performed..

I've noticed an issue with your mortal kombat guard state: When blocking an attack, your character will not be pushed back from the guard.velocity. This leaves your Mortal Kombat characters susceptible to being locked down in their guarding state by other characters attacking with their own systems in a general MUGEN.

The Ball breaker move is not bufferable in "Mortal Kombat Revision 3.0" wich i take reference.

I'm a little behind on my playing and testing lately but I finally got around to Liu Kang and found one thing which you may want to check out.

Liu Kang's fireball seems to have physical properties rather than that of a projectile.  It can be caught by anyone who has an attack reversal such as Geese Howard etc.  I tested this out on several different characters and the behavior for this varied.  In the best case scenario, the person performing the reversal just goes through their respective animations as if they had caught an attack.  But it can also cause duplication or invincibility errors.  Other than that he plays pretty solid.  Thanks as always!

Excellent!, thanks for finding this little glitch. When I converted the projectiles to helpers I forget to change the attr parameters too. My bad.  ;P

Also, where did you find that MK2 Armory stage?? I've been looking everywhere for it.

Not a fan of Mk1 and Mk2 sprites! :( Was hoping someone would make decent MK3/UMK3/MKT based characters! There's no Kabal, Stryker, Nigtwolf, Sindel, Cyborg Characters and other pretty much introduced since Mk3 characters being made into mugen! There are lots of characters made individually from MK1 and Mk2, but no one seems to bother making MK3 characters and its saddening to tell you the truth! And yes, MKP is rubbish and is terrible compatible with other versions of mugen and characters do not transition well! Hope someone will make decent Mk3 characters for mugen some day! :(

I'm compiling ALL chars from the original trilogy and some extra characters from newest mk games, so that in the end will be more than 60 characters from this saga. Some are finished, some in WIP, and others in planning phase and I have scheduled so, don't ask me to upload one in particular ok?.  -_-

It may have been reported from what Alpaca said but see 0:53-1:08. This is what happens when your MK1 characters crouch & block from attacks and no cornerpush is applied to other characters' system.

Not a fan of Mk1 and Mk2 sprites! :( Was hoping someone would make decent MK3/UMK3/MKT based characters! There's no Kabal, Stryker, Nigtwolf, Sindel, Cyborg Characters and other pretty much introduced since Mk3 characters being made into mugen! There are lots of characters made individually from MK1 and Mk2, but no one seems to bother making MK3 characters and its saddening to tell you the truth! And yes, MKP is rubbish and is terrible compatible with other versions of mugen and characters do not transition well! Hope someone will make decent Mk3 characters for mugen some day! :(

There were several attempts to update the engine/characters since the times of MKP 4.1, not all of them being "rubbish", but afaik the "MK3/UMK3/MKT" updates were mostly for private use in fullgames.

juano16, all but covered MK2. especially with the separate Def Files ,with his releases of Soulninja's. and Shang Tsung MK2   ,and he covered alittle bit of MK3 with the female ninja's MK3 and the soul ninja's MK3,so those are all standard used MK characters in regular mugen, and i have a Beta a person made and actualy  released on here of a MK3 ShangTsung based on Juano16's MK2 ShangTsung its a complete MK3 Shang, but a lot of the times when he morph's the sprites are  distorted ,sadly it was abandoned ,or else we  could of had all of the MK3 chars also because he mentioned doing the same method as Juano and use the separate Def files.................

And At Omegapsycho,  i was wondering are u after Scorpion and Sub Zero ,Going to do maybe Reptile?possibly with the little bit sped up movement like in the arcade? and are u planning on doing anything as far as updates with your Goro and MK1 Shang tsung or are u just going to call it a day after Scorp and sub?....loving the characters BTW so good to see real versions of Mortal kombat characters u don't have to patch and say a prayer before using them lol

Well, I was thinking upload Raiden this week but I think upload only ninjas week to week after Raiden, can become monotonous, so, the next will be Sub-Zero or Scorpion, and then, Raiden and then Reptile and so on...   
(Reptile will have his speed like in the arcade game.)  ;)

About the bosses, they will receive BIG updates, so, after the above-mentioned characters, there are still 2 more releases to complete the entire roster of MK1 (Yes, my Ermac's MK1 version is included).  :yes:

You coded the spear all wrong.

1: If Scorpion spears someone but is hit at the same time, the spear drops its target down. It doesn't continue to drag them in.

2: Scorpion is not invulnerable when dragging someone in with the spear. He can get hit and if he does get hit while dragging someone in, the spear will drop its target down.
All in all, the spear cannot trade

3: If Scorpion enters an aerial state (This includes jumping and the teleport punch) while the opponent is stunned from the spear, the opponent immediately wakes up from the stun. This is to stop loops like this

I don't know why everyone gets this wrong. It's actually pretty visible when playing around in Mortal Kombat :/

Though you fixed the part where scorpion/reptile is supposed to be hittable during the drag-in state, you did not fix the part where the opponent immediately recovers from the spear's stun state if you enter an air state while your opponent is stunned.

Also Reptile can infinite by freezing and then spearing over and over.

I just tried it on revision 4.0 and you're still right, the spear stun is not canceled by entering air states in the first Mortal Kombat. It's the later Mortal Kombat games where they noticed "Oh Scorpion can totally do infinite punch jump-spear loops we should expire the spear stun if he jumps". I'll have my eye out on you when you get to the Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 versions of these characters.

I also thought about that detail, but there will be (coming soon) a character with those features. (You can see part of that in the video "Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero", however, if the public request, I can make a version "Secret Character" for Reptile too.  :yes:

i was picturing his intro to be that YOU FOUND ME message and beating him for good (as in the last round) would have a message popping up saying the opponent won 100,000 points or whichever
I also thought about that detail, but there will be (coming soon) a character with those features. (You can see part of that in the video "Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero", however, if the public request, I can make a version "Secret Character" for Reptile too.  :yes:

I like the sprites for Shang's fatal. I don't think I've ever seen these before. They would even look good for a melee attack, but I know Omega is going for accuracy, so I'll just add in the sprites and make a melee attack myself once Omega releases him. I'm not really digging the idea for Omega to make the ninjas Rain and Noob Saibot . I'd rather get more real MK characters.

Dude, you're doing a phenomenal fucking job here. All of your characters are amazing and I love all of your stuff. So much in fact that I actually added all of your MK1 releases to my roster; I swore up and down that this would never happen in my Mugen.

I say you should kick off MK2 just right with Smoke and Jade since we're on the subject. But that's just me and my usually awesome opinion. :innocent:

Probably because MK chars attacks put the opponent in a custom state due to their mechanics, and that these bosses have code to prevent them from entering custom states.

Another great release. :)
Is it normal that during his D,D+lk taunt, his torso and legs get separated by a pixel for a few ticks ? :S

You are absolutely amazing. As a big Mortal Kombat fan, I appreciate the effort of bringing the cast to Mugen which surprisingly nobody has done outside of a fullgame environment.

I know this is based of MK2 secret characters, but you should've made these 2 characters with their own techniques, not another scorpion clones, i saw  some mk1 edited sprites to make the noob and smoke techniques.

I am perfectly fine with the secret bosses from MK2 being the secret bosses from MK2. I don't see why this is such a big problem. They were designed to be CPU only, them being playable is kind of a gift.

During turns if either one is next in line he'll end up frozen in place at the start of the fight as if the intro is playing. It can be dealt with by pushing a button however.

I'm sure that the whole "Ermac glitch" was an MK1 thing.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  Something about palettes failing to load.

Yes, but the MK1 palette glitch was only a red Scorpion. OmegaPsycho's Ermac has Ermac's telekinesis, which he uses in other games.

But the most known version is the palette error, because there were even videos (obviously fakes) with red-palette Scorpions. And whatever is the relationship of Ermac with MK1, OmegaPsycho's is custom, and Noob-Smoke could be custom too.

That makes sense.  I figured it was a rumor and one thing really jumped out at me: even if there was a palette issue, why would it change his name (the vids I've seen say ErMac, or something)? Haha!  Thanks for the info, Lord M.

Oooooohh.... now this is pretty fucking awesome. I'm becoming more of a fan with each and every release of yours.

You see, this is what I love about Mugen, and Kyokano's SFxT screenpack did the same thing: Mugen tricks you into thinking you're playing the actual game, when in fact it is not. With your video, I could swear it is in fact MK, hands down. Then Mugen's fight.def system runs. That is amazing to me. You know you have something special on your hands when you have that effect on people. :mmhmm:

I agree, I believe the future of mugen characters is when they bring their game environment with them without having to play them in a full game environment. I believe that is the true and sole purpose of what elecbyte wanted to do. Also now that we have 1.1 32bit support we can do anything. As long as your computer isn't a potato. But still!
