You need not worry because their creations is not for profit, so there's no problem doing this for Mugen, if so, the number of chars Ecole created for Mugen have already been removed from the internet, and has many out there, Mugen is free because everything is created for him was not made for sales.

Unfortunately, it is useless once it is determined detrimental to the companies would be non-profit.
I can not even imitate that confront the company.

Ecole has no right to interfere with you considering you are doing this for FREE. As they said, if that was the case, then a shit-ton of chars, stages and whatnot would have been taken down and Mugen as a whole would have been deemed ILLEGAL and Elecbyte would suffer as well.
Truth be told I see this as some internet troll just doing something stupid to down your spirits and piss you off for his/her enjoyment.
Same was said for Garrys Mod when the Skyrim SNPCs were taken down via DMCA. It was not Bethseda that threw out this, it was just some 12 year old girl that did it because it made her feel special. If Bethseda wanted to take down the rest of Gmod's creations that Bethseda made even when said mods were made for NON-PROFIT, then a Whole other shit-ton of mods would have been removed, forgotten and thrown into the wind. Same Scenario, different reasoning.

hes right mugen is fan based fighting game that is created using the electbyte engine. you are basicly making characters from scratch and coding the character to your desire. in this point you are the creater. keep pressing on we love your characters. keep up the good work.

Copyright law being enforced here? Yea maybe but its not to THIS POINT.
Ecole...They believe in Justice with Copyright, they beleive it needs to be enforced no matter what. At first it was just UNIB, but now they're doing MB and anything else now. SELF-PRIDE/GRATIFICATION. They beleive their work needs to be THEIRS alone and NO Edits or 3rd party Creations (Even non-profit) should EXIST. And this in thus fufills their own SELF-GRATIFICATION of their views on copyright. Making THEM Feel good.
But what you guys need to be reminded of (or taught) is that "Japan" isnt like this, its only a select few people/groups. There are plenty of Japanese Copyrighted stuff that ISNT Heavily Copyrighted, Such as Touhou Music and Remixes of Songs. Ever see a Touhou song get taken down on Youtube? I haven't. Ever see remixes get taken down on Youtube? I haven't. I myself have uploaded SEVERAL Remixed Songs to Youtube (Official Remixes) And they don't even get a 3rd Party NOTIFICATION. Same with Touhou. There are THOUSANDS of Full Quality Touhou Songs on Youtube and i have never seen one go down unless used in a Copyrighted VISUAL Video.
Non-LARGE Record Production Music isn't heavily copyrighted. I have a Music Channel with some music on it from different Comikets that are fine.
