I'm trying to hunt down TESTP's original workfiles. The workfiles are completely different than running sffextract on a character's sff. Please send to messatsu@gmail.com if you have them or information leading to their capture.

u may consider me a noob but what are TESTPs workfiles
-
Have you tried webarchive snapshots?
-
Yes and all of them at archive.org. It's simply not there. There's a few things that were archived there, but none of the work file links work at all.
-
chances are slim
even electrocaid was looking for them :'(
-
what about the ones at ramdon select? or are not looking for the chars?
-
Updated with link http://web.archive.org/web/20051216044347/http://come.to/testp
No these "chars" aren't at RS. These are the rarest "chars" of them all.
-
i see, so you found the workfiles
-
NO! I didn't find anything. I found where they would have been. Notice how the file links there don't work at all.

-
What is the status the of the [E] search through the data discs?
-
CD 20 of 600 :o
-
what sear...oh shi...
-
From experience, you can just download files from the Web Archive normaly.
You just have to open them with Winrar and chose to repair the archive as one of the options.
-
Um, that's not the case here. No files to pick up even partially.
-
disc 300 out of 600.

What? I got TESTP's characters from RS, they're in the hosted characters section. If for some reason they're not downloadable anymore, I'll just send them.
-
He's not talking about those either =P
-
Oops, sorry then.

Sei's progress of finding the TESTP workfile.

Why the fudge did you revive this?
[E] posted that post about a year ago. If he found them, he probably would have said something.
-
im still wondering what are the TESTP files O:
also since this is stickied its not like it bumped a lot of topics down O:
-
Still, it's a year old and the bump post was completely worthless.
-
I'll determine whether or not it's worthless. It wasn't. So no luck from anybody? I have of course gave up searching. The only way it exists is if somebody has it on a backup disc or old computer.
-
there is a chance i might have downloaded it back on my Windows 95, but that computer is long gone. possibly rebuilt intos a dell somewhere.
but because i can start my search, exactly WHAT are these work files? what are they for? a char? stage?
and YES i like reviving things.
-
IIRC, a bunch of pcx files.
-
I'm looking for the zip because the archive will preserve the timestamps.
-
Dizang, Messatsu, you have found the only thing that I cannot find with Google. And according to PC Magazine, I'm a "Google Wizard."
-
I'm in contact with "someone" and he's checking his backup CDs from long ago. Hopefully he has them. It's been over a week since I last had contact with him, so I'll bother him a few more times before I call it quits.
I'm kinda kicking myself for not using the Google archive of 2001 when it was available, but the files probably weren't there.
-
bump.
did anyone ask elecbyte for/about this?
