I came back to this site because I found this thread

here

Sadly it appears to be quite old and the site that hosts the stages doesn't have the stages anymore.

Does anyone have these Madoka Magica stages? Particularly Walpurgis Night?

Ran into a few problems with this. First of all, the lack of portraits in-game makes it hard to keep track of teams in team battle. Second of all, the victory images for player two (the ones that tell you how they won each round.) are misplaced, appearing under Player one's lifebar. Third of all, there is no winquote page. Next, when I project my game onto a bigger screen, the corners get cut off so I can't see the energy level numbers. I didn't have this problem on a previous screenpack I had.

I looked it up online but couldn't find a way to set up a widescreen resolution for MUGEN. How do I go about doing this?

emm if you don't want use a pay software like a photoshop... use the palettero including in your Fighter Factory... is easy to use and you could apply palette to any sprite using this tool...

bye!!
when I do that, it usually screws up the colors on my sprite

Making Pallettes

I'm trying to get back into MUGEN and I want to know what free programs people use to make palettes and apply them to sprites so they they appear correctly on Fighter Factory. I used to use Paint Shop Pro back in the day, but I don't want to buy the program for 400 bucks just to make MUGEN characters. So basically what I would do is set the palette that I will use in the game in PSP, then I'd apply that palette to every sprite.

Then I'd save the palette and use that in fighter factory, and everything was peachy. Now, is there a program like that somewhere on the internet that's freeware? I've looked at Gimp, but I can't find any way to apply a pallette that I make on my image and no way to export a palette. So anyone got any tips on helping me out here?

A quick question about this program: does it work with MUGEN 1.0 or is there another program for that?

EDIT: Tried it again, still not working.

I don't know why the link is not working you could try looking on google i know some one must of had upload to the internet again or try this one http://www.bestdownload.info/fighter-factory-ultimate-2-6.html but yes it works for Mugen 1.0
That one doesn't work either

is this program not compatible with Windows 7?

yes it is and i just downloaded and it worked for me why don't you try pressing the right click on your mouse and click on open link to a new tab

well there this thing called PSound but it's very rare to get but not to hard to find so far it's been able to rip most PS 1, 2, PSP sounds with ease not sure if can rip PS3 yet I need to get me the game to see, and I have ripped Soul Calibur 2 to 3 they usually have both have Japanese and US voice sets in them.
Why is something on the internet rare? I don't see how digital data can be in short supply, since downloading something doesn't take away from anything
Is it just hard to find or something?

Is there a mirror site I can download this at?

What's a good Palette program?

I used to make Palettes on PSP and it worked like a charm: all I had to do was convert the image, switch the colors around so MUGEN would read the proper one as transparent, and apply the palette to my sprites, but for the life of me I can't find any program that works with palettes that easily and is free! I tried using GIMP, but I can't figure out how to apply the palette to the image or to export it so FF can read it.

Any tips or programs out there that can help? I don't want to pay 400 bucks for PSP

Did something happen to the site? All my posts seem to have been eaten

EDIT: Sorry it didn't seem to be relevant to the thread. I'm trying to install FFU 2.6 but it keeps telling me the setup files are corupt, no matter where I dled it from.

I got a 2.5 to work though

Just discovered a game called "arm joe" or something that is a fighting game based on Les Miserable

http://lesmisgame.com/arm_joe.html

I've never seen anything MUGEN-related, are there any characters from this game that have been made, or is it THAT obscure?

Palette Editing Program?

I've been using Corel Paint Shop Pro to edit my palettes, and I enjoy its simplicity, but now my trial is over and I don't want to pay for the program, nor do I wish to pirate it, or any program.

Gimp has always given me problems, is there any good program for editing palettes and decreasing color depth and whatnot and assigning transparencies  that's free, simple and similar to PSP, and easy to edit existing palettes/make new ones?

hey, I wanted to make a character, but I was having some problems with the pallette with these images. HOw can I easily change this image so it only uses the nine colors that are on here instead of hundreds of shades of the color?

Here's the image I'm using right now. I know its not enough for a sprite sheet, but if I can't get this to work, I can't get anything to work.
