since he won't tell you, as obvious as it is... you have to remove the colon... otherwise MUGEN wont read that line.... so remove the ; in front of that set of numbers.... and do it for each line that follows... cuz theres more...

ok, and finally (as of now anyway... dunno what issues will come up during the beta) I am pretty sure that all I need, to make Rugal's throw hit aerial opponents, is to just set up my triggers like so.

Code:
trigger1 = P2StateType = S
trigger2 = P2StateType = A
trigger3 = P2StateType = C

and to make it not hit opponents lying down.

trigger1 = P2StateType !=
(dun remember what lying down is... I'll check the cns doc and find out)

and then do that for triggers 2 and 3 as well.

OH. Just remembered, a big part of me getting into MUGEN was this combo vid I saw... I saw so many good official characters, doing combo's I couldn't believe. (Like Evil Ryu's downward slash kick thingy, infinite, with really tight timing)

Air juggling is where you preform a move, that knocks your opponent into the air (or intercept a jumping opponent) and proceed to combo them, then once you hit ground, you keep them in the air, doing some real damage before your opponents juggle points are used up.

For maximum damage most combos are done with special attacks, heavy attacks, and end with supers, otherwise its not really worth it.

Also, its only an air juggle if its untechable (meaning you can't recover midway, and start blocking).

 :S I think I got that right... if not, somebody feel free to correct where I got it wrong

thanks, that actually helps me a lot.

But, how do I code a custom state for my opponent, to increase the gravity? I am unaware of anything that increases it...

Motivation.... to code.

After setting up all the sprites, and sorting out the AIR, I am just so fucking out of it, that I don't even want to code.

Then when I'm like 90% done with the basic coding, (my char can move, and attack with all 6 buttons, on ground, crouched, and in air). I lose my will to keep going, knowing that supers require so much coding, and knowing that my lack of experience with helpers is going to make the coding process of projectiles about 30x longer than normal.

I liked Queen of Fighters 2.0, or w/e it was called... though the blob thingy was really cheap.

eh... I think God Ryu is pretty balanced considering how far gone the GOD characters have gotten.

I mean... I went as far as to think that God Orochi was broken... until I put him against GOD Vega.

Mostly though, I appreciate the GOD characters for how much custom spriting was done, and some nice fx. Plus some of them have some really neat combo systems.

So I'll assume that when you guys say garbage characters, your are referring to the fact that they are made way to powerful when stacked against official characters.

EDIT: Oh, and Riot Ryu...

And yes, legendary Ryu sucks... any character that you can't actually play as... sucks... not to mention his spriting looks horrible..

EDIT Again: And I just remembered RyuDG. Just an official make of Ryu, by DG.

I googled, 2d fighter maker, and I came across MUGEN. After downloading it, I youtubed it to see what it was all about, and then I shortly later found mugenguild. Been a member ever since.

Mech Zangief.... requires good timing, but you can air juggle for like half health really easily, once you get the timing down.

not violent ken... evil ken... but anyway.. yes, I played as dragonclaw after making that post (about ten minutes later, to be precise)

and I was like... holy shit... this character is groundbreaking, as far as MUGEN material goes.

Seriously, supports both low and hi-res stages, but need to modify .def from the hi-res ones to work.

Umm... well I'm no coding wizard, so I've turned here for at least a push in the right direction.

I'm working on a character and I want it to have assists, that differentiate based on command.

I.E.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

A few things to note, I don't want it to be like the Naruto and Sasuke Kun, where they freeze the screen, and take priority over like, everything.

I want them to be able to be hit, and if they are, they don't complete the assist, which drains both power from me, and health.

I want them to be effected by the superpause... so that you cant use an assist, for additional hits during a super, resulting in possible infinites.

Oh, but I do want Rugals throw to reset the juggle points, but increase the gravity... (if thats possible)

I am going to build my own arcade cab over the next few months, and I was wondering if anyone here knew if it was possible to get it to work with MUGEN, like how many people have gotten it to work with MAME.

Char Music Problems

in my private game I'm working on, I have the final 3 characters set to have there own bg music, but for some reason, the stage music overrides it. So when I tried changing the stage music to there's, I get the result of, it works in vs mode, but not in arcade mode... as a matter of fact, I get absolutely no music in arcade mode....

can anyone help me?

oh and the formats are mp3, but all my other files work fine...
