Thanks everybody!
The initial idea was to make a "home" for the z2 chars.

Desert stage was meant to recreate Goku vs Vegeta from the Saiyajin saga.
And stages related to the z2 chars cast are top priority  (for example No cell games stage planned since there is no Cell saga related character)

These are mostly all stages ive planned, and it would be great if each one would have a variation:

-Desert / Desert stormy  (Done)  (for Goku vs Vegeta)

-Namek                         (Done)  (for Frieza and possible piccolo)

-Time Chamber/ Time Chamber Night  (in process)  (for neutral, training stage)

-Namek last minutes      (Planned) (for Ssj Goku vs Frieza)

-Sayajin´s Landing         (planned) (for Secret)

-Goku Home                 (planned) (for Goku)

-City                             (planned) (for Gohan z2 if ever happens :P)

-Kami´s Look out            (planned) (for piccolo if ever happens :P)

This does not mean i will make them all, ill see what i can do as time passes, these are mostly my plans rigth now, and they can change XD

For the floor, it would be cool to see some gradient in old-school style, with only a few colors used, but with this sort of grid pattern, if you see what I mean ?
Do the sand clocks have some delta between them and the background, as it would really add more depth to the stage ?

Yeah, i know what you mean, for now im focusing on dealing with the transsitions and stage effects. Ill try to make it look more old school later :D
For the delta thing, not for the moment, but should not be a problem to separate them and the weird crystal spheres later.
The chamber sprite itself needs more details, specially the interior and the window.

Seems like people are enjoying to much the Aurora version. So what do you think about two versions?

Version 1- Aurora + some training props
Version 2- Anime white + Heat mode + Cold mode

This way will be more easy for me to deal with transsitions.

I think that you should position the characters a little higher in the stage, they don't look quite good IMO where they stand right now.

Wups thats the screenie, there is more space for the shadow (the same as the other stages), i just messed it up cuting the image XD

Didnt remembered that scene, glad to see some mountains, they will add more taste to the stage for sure, i guess ill need to make them pop up.


Koju! the Lookout sure is on my plans too, but i would like to avoid making it symmetric.
That Kami sprite is just to damn good, i would try to use it for sure :P

Well, by popular demand ill start this topic about the z2 inspired stages im going to make for the z2 chars.

Currently, these are my stages that are Finished/Released:

Desert stage:

The purpose of this topic is to recieve feedback and ideas while im making new stages.
The one im working currently is the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

For the moment, the stage will have transsitions between different weathers:

-Normal White (Anime/manga inspired)
-Aurora Nigth  (Budokai series inspired)
-Extreme heat       
-Extreme cold

Normal white and Aurora modes are mostly completed, also the transsitions are smooth and works well.
The problems comes with Heat and Cold mode, they are empty at the moment (just the coloured background)

It would be nice to find some nice Fire effects (capcom style) to put in the Heat mode
about cold mode, maybe some snow? blizzard? could somebody pass me some info about how that appears in the manga/show?

Well, for now the sandclock its animated, (needs animation in the other one, and also a wall clock)

Btw, please dont talk to much about music because everybody can change that and its a waste of posts! Wizzy´s music is an exception and you can talk about it as much as you like because hes awesome XD

Well i mostly know the budokai family ost, so i never heard the gba ones... Ill give them a listen for sure.
I liked Hyperdimension and Super Sonic warriors Ost too (Krillin and trunks theme is my fave from Ssw)

Well music in Mugen is not a big deal since you can change it easily :P
I just pick the ones to seem to fit with the stage and the ones i remember XD

BTW:



Sky will need more work, its just to much boring being plain white, planning to add an aurora borealis or something like in the budokai stage.
Sandclocks and wall clock will be also animated.
And im thinking on placing some objects arround the chars, maybe some food, and a box with the Sayajin clothes, maybe some capsule too...

Also leave here some ideas if you want!

Omg wizzy i love your remix! It fits super good!  and the reference to the budokai melody was great!

Yes Cybaster, it would be nice to see all the z2 related stuff together ^_^ (and an honor)

Iced, yes they only pass once (i know is not to much, but i can always release an evening or nigth version, with frieza forces attacking, maybe the giant crab, and the other things we talked about)

And well, i talked about namek last minutes being the next stage, but suddenly i feeled like doing another one first!

Well heres the Namek stage you probably saw in some of Balthazar videos!
This stage was made specially for the z2 chars!

Features:
-Your favourite blue grass and green sky!
-A namekian frog!
-The capsule spaceship!
-Dende and some Frieza´s/Freezer´s soldiers!
-A namek Dragon ball!

(sorry Iced, i could not include the giant crab, and it was delaying this to much, maybe for an next update :P)

Loving it, and the two hard punches are epic.
Dragon ball also used circular impact visual effects similars to these.
I think they could look super with those two punches

People thinks goku is slower because they saw the anime, and didnt undertood that the fights take place very much faster than they show us (like a slow mo camera), because the show would be boring just showing us a background with lots of explosions and hit sounds.

Most normal people cant even see the fights in the world tournament so the public its pretty much seeing a firework set XD

How would he know he gets his power from the sun?

Telepathy? and i dont meaned like he would do that on purpose, just randomly teleporting.
Also Goku would never use Kriptonite or teleport him away from the sun, because Goku LIKES to figth, so would do anything possible to have superman at his fullest :D

What about if goku uses the instant transmission on Superman and they end up pretty far away from a Yellow sun?
that would be instantly over for Superman then.
I like Goku the most, but i cant tell who would win...
At first i  think Superman is going to underrate Goku strenght, and soon the battle would be to dangerous for the planet.
Being to kind characters, im pretty sure they will bring the battle into space.

Goku have more figthing experience, and Superman fighting moves would be easy to read for him.
(i could be wrong) but superman doenst encounter rivals of his own strenght and powers to often, goku for the other hand, searchs for people stronger than he, and its very experienced in being overpowered by strong foes.

Chamat, i think the destructo disk can be bloqued with an ki shield, but i dont know.
I think it would be great if the disk pass the enemy while it cuts him, rather than desintegrating or exploding.
This could be done too even if the enemy is bloquing, this move could inflict sighly more damage while bloquing than normal.
