We tested backroom means of conspiring and Iced and I agreed to make aeom look like a fool---his display name says "the future mod" even though he is presently a mod, now.

That will show him.

Global Moderator status of aeom (currently known as "momo!, the trash mod") has been trashed.

One reason: this post.

Now, will you stop with your foreshadowing display names?

Read Dune. Learn why seeing the future is not something you want to be able to do.

What do we do with this giant topic?

I made the Landscapes topics sticky and noticed... here:

13:33:41 Sepp: The places topic could be sticky??? why do we have two random topics`? I'd unsticky one of the random ones, and upgrade the landscapes one...no?
13:34:10 Iced: one is a shit thread
13:34:25 Sepp: WHY DO WE HAVE A SHIT THREAD UP IN FULL VIEW??!?!
13:34:29 Iced: it was an example thread titiln used put there the threads that were just badly done or had no sense
13:34:33 Iced: Its titiln thread!
13:34:35 Sepp: away with it then.
13:34:45 Sepp: not anymore. he can't even change its name anymore.
13:36:29 Sepp: shit threads as I understand them should be recycled.

or, if you insist, merged into one big confusing topic for amusement. doesn't need to be a sticky topic though.
13:36:42 Iced: then unsticky it and leave it around
13:36:53 Iced: it has some uses, there are tons of stuff that dont merit its own thread that end up merged there

I'm not a fan of the concept...

Awww, topic got merged. I was planning to go somewhere with it, but I fell asleep. :P

And it does it retain its true spirit if Titiln isn't the one seeing to it?

We don't need to make people aware of Vyx .

The only thing he's got going for him is that a few of his posts led to funny topics.

Making people aware of him? It's not like he's dangerous or historically significant or should be known to everybody in the community.

Just a ridiculous side note.

I mean he's got a PhD and secretaries, is well-versed in French and international law, partially owns an international corporation, wanted to sue MUGEN Guild and make money by breaking a screenpack.

I notice two other topics that weren't moved there by me---at first glance I would like to throw them out of Hall of Fame:

Why do you think they should be there, what makes them Worthy?

Considering those two make for a total of four topics surrounding Vyx in that section.

?__?  Are they nevertheless somehow new, different, and self-explanatory and interesting enough to a imaginary Normal User or just guest to deserve such prominence?

(I have yet to read them.)

If he's not a character, Sepp gets to be the announcer, and every standard announcement goes with a little Dune/Star Wars/Blade of Thysshale (sp?) picked by the man himself to match the situation (and possibly the actual character match-up...).

"It is your destiny!" - Darth Vader, "The Empire Strikes Back"

You know you want it.

Announcer made me think of ROUND 1 and so on.

But it doesn't seem practical to have somebody actually SAY quotes every round or whatever. DOes it? You meant text anyway? Winquotes? Game Over message?

I'm not sure I get it yet. And I haven't had any bright ideas yet cuz I need context to pick quotes. Hm. But somehow involving myself by helping creating fitting, I dunno... maybe... depending on who's in it I could at least help by giving input to capture the feeling!! of some characters.

Since somebody mentioned the maybe-cool-if-it-works idea that if e.g. Caddie is in the game, he shouldn't actually get total control to describe himself / his own character but should rather be depicted like how, I dunno, others... like, a slightly-parody view how he might be viewed by The Community. I like the Sandworm combination thing too.

Just can't imagine a game out of all that yet. You guys are gonna hand-draw 8 (?) characters with 300 sprites each?

... the dragons made me post... while I really should get to bed.

I guess this is one of those times where applies "Those who question themselves about being crazy might very well be the only ones who are sane"

Spoiler: the route to mastery quotes (click to see content)

To move in harmony with the world, with other people, with the things of the world, with ourselves; this is the ultimate expression of dance. All living things wish to move well; it is built into them to wish it, for living things that move well are better fit to survive than those that do not.
