Dude... you need to read some of the topics around this forum.  There is a thread in some help section here whose title is the same as the question you just asked.

You need plugins to make mugen's sound stop bugging out.  There's a topic about this, look around.

mugen.cfg comes with mugen, it is in the data folder, open it with notepad.

@ anggita -

Very Nice! but you left some pink pixels in ur frames :P  make sure the pink color is the LAST color in the palette for that image and re-input it to the system.sff

when I say last I mean bottom right, you can access the image's palette by going to image -> mode -> color table (I think).

If the color table option is grayed out, you need to make the image indexed.

Then cut out the pink color in the color table, using either alt or ctrl (can't remember which, but you'll see a scissor) and clicking it.  Click the last (bottom right) color and set it to the pink color.

The normal size portraits come with the screenpack by default.  The reason Recruta and I have bigger ones is because we have loaded custom portraits into the characters themselves, and modified the screenpack to reflect the changes.

If you want to do this, several things have to take place:

-make your own small portraits at whatever size
-put them into your characters' sff files
-make a frame, and cursors that are several pixels larger on each side for your small portraits
-replace my frames and cursors with yours
-change the size to reflect the custom portraits in system.def

This is a big pain in the butt as a matter of fact.  I do have a custom version of the screenpack with all the portraits for myself, including a bigger frame and cursors,  I might release that if anyone wants it, but you would still have to replace the small portraits in all of your characters' sff files.

nice!  those small portraits look a little choppy/low quality to me though.  Did you resize them in photoshop or scale them down in mugen?  I think you would get better results scaling them down in mugen.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, I put alot of work into this so I'm glad people enjoy it.  Also I really appreciate people finding bugs, that makes my life much easier. :)

Ok, seems lots of people don't like those fonts, should have anticipated this.

I'm not gonna change it in the default system, because like I said, none of the characters I use (samurai shodown, last blade) have that long a name OR have an "x" or v" in their name.  Besides, this was intended for ss/last blade.

HOWEVER ( ;P) The SP now includes an alternate system.def, which fixes several things.

-name overlap in turns mode
-name cutting on vs screen
-lack of "x" and "v" in name font

also the readme has been updated with instructions on how to install either version.

Added a select.def, and modified system to reflect the changes.

As far as the name fonts on the select and versus screen go, they are meant for single-name samurai shodown characters.  Not quite kung-fu-man friendly.

-Fixed music paths
-vs fonts are aligned that way purposely, p1 is aligned with the bottom-right corner of big portrait as a reference, and p2 is aligned with the top left of p2 big portrait as a reference.  Again, designed for short names.
-lag is more noticeable on rounds after round 1 because there HAS to be a a whole second of silence in order to make up for the extended length of round 1.
-skipping intro lag is unavoidable.
-I like the simul lifebars the way they are, anything original I come up with will most likely be uglier.
-the fight.sff has been completely stripped except for simul bars due to the point above.
-Range of turns lifebar fixed, Thanks! :) stupid me.
-I like it better that they can pass in front.
-combo fonts disappear at the same time as every other combo font I've used in mugen.  Don't know what causes early disappearance.

Here is the Samurai Spirits Tenka screenpack 2.0 by me.

Taken from the readme:

Installation:

1) put the 'sstenka' folder in 'data'
2) open 'mugen.cfg'
3) where it says 'motif' set 'motif=data/sstenka/system.def'
4) or 'motif=data/sstenka/altsystem.def' for the smaller select and vs screen fonts
5) enjoy

Features:

-Title screen is 100% accurate to original
-Fully animated select screen, as accurate as possible
-VS and option screens
-Lifebars with animated rounds and ko's, as accurate as possible
-Announcer number 2 from SSTenka (cuz he's gangsta, son!)
-Music
-Fonts and a bunch of other shit I can't remember

Whats Left:

-Storyboards (Gameover, Ending, Intro etc...)

Here's a little preview for now...  this will be released alot earlier than I expected due to all the help I'm getting from Agent Fantom.  Thanks goes to him.

Some fonts done, title screen and options improved...









All thats left is some odds and ends.  I'm don't think I'll be making lifebars but I've already made a fight.snd because I think the ss tenka announcer's voice is awesome. :p
