I want to get away from the dbz ub22 project for a little while a create jin kazama from tekken.

I did before, using nxc sprites. The sprites were limited and my coding knowledge not as good as now, so the result was a decent character.

But now i want to make a jin with custom sprites.

Basically what i want to know is any spiriting tips and help, best editing programs and the best bases for jin xtra.

now this would be pretty kool

might make mugen more ( wow four m's...) like a fighting game where if u have difficult set to very easy the oppenent is a pile of shit that you can beat the hell out of , or if its set on very hard you actually need to block duck and jump back

Good work as always :) I had supermysterys majin vegeta but his was OTT. Yours is nicely balanced and the fact that it only took you a few weeks to make him is impressive.

I noticed you changed one of goku's combos for the better as the last one was to stiff and didn't connect most the time.

Okay, well title kinda says it all







Majin Vegeta UB22 Version 1 For the ub22 mugen project

V2 Completion - 7th June 2008

This is Super Majin Vegeta, my second character from the ub22 mugen game and for
my project.
He is very similar to goku in his moves and power and has a nice ai aswell, without
being overpowered.

This Character only took a couple of weeks to create and i have to say im very impressed
with the speed this one took. I dont feel he is rushed either, i think i got the power
of majin vegeta just right in comparison to my goku.

Special Features:

-Fly

-Nice fx

-UB22 Sprites which fit in with the general mugen sizing

-Moves taken from the show as well as original

-Original "Tatical Button" system

-Interactive Intros with certain characters

-Special Final Explosion Move

-Cleaner sprites than ub22, outlines removed

AI: (BTW The ai does not have cheap moves like my ulitmate version characters and such, he has the same
moves as the non-ai version)

If you dont like the ai and would just like it turned off then heres what you do...

1.Rename the character folder to

majinvegetanoai

2.Then in the select def instead of putting majinvegetaub22 put

majinvegetanoai

3.Thats it now you will fight a braindead version of vegeta, if thats how you like
to play your mugen good for you!

4.But i would use the ai version anyway...

Basic Moves:

x - Light Punch

a - Light Kick

y - Strong Punch

b - Strong Kick

c - Kiball Blast

z - Tatical Button (Ki charge)

a+b - energy explosion (takes a small amount of ki, protects you for a second and deals
low damage)

Double tap Up - Fly

Double tap down - Super Jump

Grab - Forward and y (close range)

Stun Ring - Down, z (requires 1000 power)

Super Dash Backwards - Back, z

Super Dash behind enemy enemy - Forward, z or just z when at max power

Final Explosion - QCB, a+b (One hit KO, reduces players health down to 1, can only be use when players health <= 400)

Super Big Bang - QCF, a+b

Hints and tips:

-The super jump can be a good way to avoid attacks

-Even when flying you can still get hit by jumping attacks watch out!

-If things get too overwhelming a+b might just get you out of a tricky situation or use
the tatical button and left or right to warp

-If you pull off stun ring, power up to max and use the hyper move - this causes high
damage!

-Use the teleport (super dash) effectively - due to the way vegeta is you can teleport and perform nice
combos or just teleport out of danger!

-Hyper attack! even if you miss the hyper attack dash dont worry your energy only goes
once the move has connected so if the oppenent dodges the intial warp, be ready to try
another attack

-Combo! Watch Vegetaa fight in ai mode and you can see he performs various combos. That
means you can perform these too when fighting

-Final Explosion - This will kill you if it connects, so as soon as vegeta uses this hold block straight away, after his
little speech there are a few ticks where the superpause stops, if you are holding block you may be able to block this move
and not receive as much damage. If you survive, you will be able to kill vegeta easily as the move reduces his health down to
1.

yeah....i do know a friend on mine

he made an amazing ssj3 ub22 gotenks sprite sheet

maybe i'll ask him but if i did it wouldnt be ub22 project version

it would be my version  :sugoi:

who knows he may let me lol

but i did update gotenks some more

Renaming him "Ultimate Gotenks" ill release him here soon

Ultimate Gotenks release lol you may want to add a warning on that one

none of that worked, it was all fine already

EDIT: Found the problem, im using a common1 file beacuse of a transformation and i didnt have a ctrlset in that

For some reason my characters can move before the fight begins, which is quite annoying as they hit the oppenent before "fight" happens, the other person attacks back so they are fighting before the round even starts.

I can also control my character before the fight begins too.

This is a real nuisance as these characters are being coding for a full game and my characters will then have an unfair disadvantage.

Any help?

Nope, as I make mention of in my WIP topic, this is MGS1 Snake, while the Snake in Brawl is MGS2. Also, in Brawl, while he has grenades, Nikita, mortars, etc., he is still kind of toned down as far as violence goes due to the nature of the game. Here, he is free to use his guns and he has a choke hold. He plays nothing like he does in Brawl. He plays as if he were inserted into a Street Fighter game. I look forward to your feedback, I just thought I'd clear this up early.

So would you mind if i used his sprites for a creation - you would get 100% credit for it, if not though i understand

but heres some feedback , really just points people have been over

i find some of the commands abit dodgy

and yeah slap your name in the def file! especially as you made these sprites yourself

I havent read every post so dont shoot me if i missed this buth have u suggested using the power bar as snakes ammunition

At maximum power you can fire 12 socom shots until you cant fire no more

then you could have a reload button were snake simply reloads a clip and his power is maxed again

just a suggestion

people seem to be getting conused with the sprites that are being posted

look at the user name btw

anyway aftyer thinking about it im not tooo sure whether i should continue this project or not

i would like to but mugen is actually wasting my time and has been for the past 2 years

also it is very difficult as i cannot edit sprites

unless i can get really motivated dont expect any update soon

unless theres anyone out there that would like to help with the project

but i doubt that

i know its not a great and theres not much editing but to me it kinda looks like leon

the stance and everything can be changed in the future

first i want most of rocks sprites with these minor edits the i take it from there

Sorry, but for me (and for various of here), it looks more like a recolor of Rock Howard than Leon... more if you want to make him with RE4 outfit...

I remember a friend of mine in MH, tried to make a Leon for CVS3 old project, maybe his sprites can give you an idea:

Fei Long + CVS Terry Bogard, a good choice IMO... this is the best Leon edit I've seen in all the net, IMHO

And if you want to make him with his jacket, I recommend Garou/KOF2k3/XI Terry Bogard to edit him (sorry guys, but I don't like Kyo as base for Leon)... and, why necessarily he has to be in CVS??



that doesnt really look like leon to me though, although mine doesnt edither

ill try do som edits with kyo

i think no jacket would be easier i dunno

I think that's great you're working on Leon.  I love Resident Evil 4 so it would be really cool to see Leon made into a MUGEN character.   :)

ok ill look into that although the colours i used were taken striaght from a leon picture
