The person who presented me with PoC and proof of ability was none other than Ryūku Tsukuyomi
He's pretty good and in prime position to become one of the premier spriters. Not only have I paid him for this project but hes still open for commissions so if you got something feel free to post it here via the format! The price negotiated for 387-430 sprites was pretty fair since spriters I've dealt with before charged up to 5 a sprite. He charged significantly less.

Well if you have previous work you've done that's a great start. It would cement that you can both animate and sprite up to par with what I'm willing to shell out money for.

As we discussed this on Skype, I think I can help you man.

Hello, here's an idea that I spoke with jmorph about that would be very beneficial to me and anyone else with the proper capital to fund ideas or even just to get some anims done and are completely aware that work is not free when the quality is good. The goal of this thread is to close the gap between good spriters and the people who can afford them. Essentially the format I have in mind is as so:

  • State the character you'd like done and why it is you think it would be worth the effort while indicating what style you'd like it to be.
  • Be prepared to provide both reference animations or even video captures on request even before someone says yes or no.
  • Explain your price range so that if someone is interested it can either be negotiated or accepted. Crowd-funding is obviously ok as well.
  • Understand who takes up your offer in both time and quality so that the end result is your fault and your fault alone.


To the spriters, understand that someone declining your particular offer for one reason or another means that the request is now officially not your problem and is not worth catching feelings for UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Also give a reasonable time-frame so that no money is exchanged until both parties are satisfied.

I digress, let's get this party started (hopefully).

ex alpha has more than enough hilarious combos as is. Also I said since the beginning that it's a straight port and I also no longer have ex3 and am not going to get it again.

I said I didn't want to do anymore snes rosters because from an outsider looking in you'd think I do it just to blow up my char count. Thus my last releases will be fully fleshed out works.

If you really knew ex like you claimed to youd know the answer to that. ex alpha sakura plays enough like sakura to be her sure but ex changed her links(she has one true one and thats it). her combos in general are unique to the game. ex also pioneered super to super cancelling and the rules it has. it also pioneered the juggling rules sf3 uses. no other sakura has a guard breaker as well. lastly this sakura follows the no true wall rule of the ex series in general. the ex series was entirely unique. note that ex alpha does not have excel so you wont see it here. Also meter bonuses. Those are probably the most important.

When I say no true wall I mean certain moves will essentially reset the position to prevent absured corner combos. I mimicked the idea by making it look like any stage goes on forever through her. as of now there is no sakura in mugen that plays like her ex counterpart. not even  pots.....especially pots

Today I started the process of ripping the stuff I couldn't normally just shop out myself like the guard break fx. The hitsparks are proving to be much more complicated but the authenticity for the most part is remaining intact.

A balanced difficulty requires that the character in question be balanced. Meaning nothing that is exploitable both offensively and defensively.

Me in all of my amazing intelligence left a bug in his back roll that left him able to level up if the opponent attacks at anywhere on screen rather than upclose. That's been fixed and you all should re-download.

-n/a I only did enough research on umvc3 to implement the core changes. when I tried to play mvc3 it was haggar.
-I never coded any lol. The project fell apart less than a month of me getting this avatar according to neocide(he was also in it). I use this avatar entirely out of irony now. I was supposed to do a piccolo from what files I do have. There was another dbz project I was about to be involved with too that also ultimately died out. I dont even remember the name but the sprites where big bulky and poorly animated.

Is this a what?
