Love the game. Would love the game even more had it been at least 16 bit.

Don't understand why they had to go back THIS far. Yes, there is a nostalgia. I started with MegaMan 1 as a kid and moved on up. I grew up with the blue bomber.

I cannot take away the fact that this game is extremely fun to play. The levels are really well designed... especially with the 8 bit limitations.

The whole purpose of the game is to focus only on gameplay.

They did that great. I hope that the next one has focus on gameplay and maybe a little bit of graphics so I can actually enjoy seeing the bosses.

I replay the X and Zero series a lot. The originals never had much replay value to me.

I think that Capcom wanted to take a more Nintendo-esqe approach to updating the series rather than like other series which have taken a lot more time and money to put together an greatly graphicly updated version of the game but still has the 8 bit type of play, which has had its share of mixed results when you add old game play with current graphics. Although my opinion isnt too strong since I havent played Megaman Powered up or the updated Megaman X, but its just an idea. Persionally, I wasnt all that fond of MM7 or 8, both being fun in their own respects, but at the same time they just didnt sit as well as the old 8 bit because the 8 bit one felt so much tighter and, well, the music in megaman 7 and 8 just didnt have the same memorable feeling of the old ones. I found my self so pissed off in MM7 having to get the new feel of the jumping down were it felt heavy and a bit slow.

To my memory I think his name is Vault-boy XD
The shaded one doesnt look too bad, but a definate light source would be nice. Also, the right (left from his angle) eye looks a tad close the the outline, maybe pull the out line out a tad at the cheek?

Freaking Epic. Its just... its the type of movie that if some one comes up to you and asks how good it was, you just  pull on a small smile and say, "It was good" to keep your self from spoiling everything.

Let me know how that turns out (HWG).

Unpolished and prototype'd :P I sorta tried to do the TF2 styled shading... but sorta just mixed it up to whateverness. Now that I look at it on a lighter background, he needs some darker contrast...

Well when I was playing with him I hit a lot snags and stuff that forced me to restart the matches I was playing in. The main problem seemed that a lot of his special moves, when blocked, or if he parries caused him to get frozen in a certain animation.

-When I was testing, his Ashura Senkuu (teleport) would slide him but then he'd get stuck in the animation at the end of the screen and could be hit, this happened twice.
-I pulled a shoryuken and he got stuck against POTS's Ryu when he was blocking and since it was still counted as an attack, he stayed blocked and niether of us moved the whole time. Pressing any other attack wouldnt cancel it.
-When he parried, he got stuck in the parry animation.
-When electrocuted, this alpha color showed up behind him, giving him a nice little frame XD

Just wanted to point out some problems that really messed with my matches @_@ I hope these can get fixed in another patch, unless of course I missed that patch when looking through the site.

I dont know if its just me, but when I use Magneto's primary projectile (Second screenshot in the first post) it starts out in his hand but then moves to the center of his chest after it hits. I dont know if its intentional, just thought to point it out, but other wise much smoother than the original and seems much more bad ass  :sugoi: love it!

I like the old school look, I actually love the idea of doing it old school, but I could have agreed on anything graphics wise so long as they return to gameplay like the originals. Another thing I hope they do a call back on was how bad ass the original games' music was. I dont know if its me but capcom seemed to switch over to a lot of Jazz later in the life spans of the games... or more techno or something, I dunno.

I actually liked Legends (I want to find Legends 2). Since it was an almost complete 360 to what they normally did with the Megaman games, it wasnt too horrible, although I definately see were it fell flat.

As with the X series, I've only played X1 and X4 and a tiny bit of X5, but I really only liked X1.

Sig: 6/10 Very clean and tighty with a simple, 56k friendly banner for your stuff, but is still a little quiet. Its nice, but not the most exciting thing ^^;

I love his characters (besides my friend, they made me a fan of GG, despite never playing more than a broken arcade cabenet of it once) despite me never really being able to beat them <_<; Still downloading. And yeah, Dizzy sorta sits there, but I'm glad Muteki takes the time for it ^^ makes it worth the while.
